## Nucleus Reviews
  ### 1. Ahead of the curve, unique, and unfortunately, very unreliable.

**What do you like best about Nucleus?**

Nucleus fills a role that we were specifically looking to fill: it factors asset criticality and compliance scope into risk scoring, and it does it in a way that's scalable, because it can be accomplished via automation, bulk actions, or API.

More of our clients have decided to use Nucleus for this feature than anything else the tool does. It ensures people are spending time where it matters, and coming from someone who has POC'd almost every similar tool in this space, I'm confident Nucleus is the only tool that's doing it well.

The team behind the tool is friendly, knowledgable, and helpful; I've enjoyed nearly every interaction I've had with them.

**What do you dislike about Nucleus?**

It's in the title. The product is unreliable.

The platform is buggy, and in the opinion of most of the people I work with that use Nucleus regularly, this has gotten worse over time, not better. The new features are nice, but a working product is nicer. For that matter, reporting has been given no attention at all so far as I've seen. At present, I think most of the reports Nucleus produces range from poor to unusable. I wish less attention was paid to visual improvements and feature enhancements over the last year, and more attention was paid to stabilizing the foundational aspects of the tool, because those are the aspects that made us decide to use it in the first place.

Ambitious goals are hindered by a team that's too deep in the trenches to follow through on commitments, and too focused on improvement to stabilize the foundational aspects of the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Nucleus:**

Use the tool for risk classification, use something else for report creation.

**What problems is Nucleus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vulnerability management, workflow automation, asset prioritization, automated vulnerability notification criteria, automated vulnerability ticketing integrations, and team coordination.

Nucleus has assisted with each of these with varying degrees of success. Asset prioritization moreso than anything else I mentioned. Team coordination less than anything else, because nearly 1/3 of our clients using the platform have decided not to use the tool at all after experiencing issues that frustrated them. For them, it's almost exclusively a tool for automated reporting.

**Official Response from Adam Dudley:**

> Thank you for your honest review. As a customer and product-focused company, delivering a high-quality user experience is of the utmost importance to us. While we appreciate the acknowledgment of your positive interactions with our team, we regret that your experience with the platform has been less than excellent.

Rest assured, we are acutely aware of the issues you've encountered and have been taking action in recent months to address them. For example, in addition to our product team being laser-focused on delivering stable, performant software, last year we doubled the size of our software and support engineering teams and are likely to triple them this year.

We want you to know that we take your comments very seriously and that everyone on the team here is committed to building the best product and making you and all our customers successful. Our customer success team will continue working with you to ensure we understand the challenges and come to an agreement on solutions.
