Another time, I tried to import Google Sheets using the AI feature to make a better literature review tracker. That also didn't work very well, so I kept on using my original Google Sheets. Not much to critique—I’m a huge fan. The main gap for me is native mind-map generation and stronger visual relationship mapping. What I dislike about Notion is that meeting transcription doesn't support Hindi or Hinglish. A lot of my day-to-day conversations mix both languages, so when I rely on Notion AI to transcribe meetings, it either garbles the mixed-language parts or drops them entirely, which means I still end up taking manual notes to catch what the transcript missed. For a tool clearly investing in AI features, this feels like a significant gap for non-English-first teams.

Sometimes the search can be a bit inconsistent, especially in large workspaces. There are times when I need to revise something specific but can’t remember where it is, so I rely on search and I notice the inconsistency. It doesn’t happen so often that I’d really complain, but it’s something I’ve felt from time to time. Other than that, I don’t have much else in mind. What I like most is the flexibility — the fact that you can customize almost any system: from a simple to-do list to a whole database of projects with filters, links between pages, Kanban boards.

I like that everything lives in one place. I used to have notes in one application, a task manager in another, and a team wiki in a third. With Notion, I moved everything there and stopped switching between dozens of tabs.

I also like the block structure — you can drag any element anywhere, nest pages inside each other without restrictions, combine text, tables, images, and codes on one page naturally.

The speed of work is probably the biggest problem. When a page becomes large (many blocks, nested databases), it starts to slow down. Loading is sometimes noticeably slow, especially on weaker internet or mobile.

Offline mode still feels raw. If the internet goes down, it becomes inconvenient to work, and synchronization is sometimes buggy.

The learning curve is also not easy. When you first start, there is a feeling of "what can you do?" - and until you watch a few videos or spend time experimenting, you simply don't use many powerful features (relation, rollup, formulas) because you don't understand how to approach them.

The search is also annoying - in a large workspace with a bunch of pages, finding what you need can take longer than you would like.

I think the most best about notion is that the project management with the help of AI Agents and chat, also automations! As a Campus leader of notion at Institute of management Sciences community i have created a task tracker for our community and i have managed all the tasks and projects that we were working on very very efficiently and greatly ! additionally i have set up an automation of that whenever i assign someone a task they should get an email from me that they have been assign this particular task and all the time and details too !!! One thing i dislike about notion i that at first when i tried to setup the workspace for my community, and the moment i added my members it gave me a block limit ! and i had to buy the notion premium ! i think that was something that i disliked about Notion ! but eventually it the matter was sorted out as notion provides free notion plus for student led communities !
