The UI is user-friendly, and it can be connected with Claude for AI. It’s great for work productivity and helps boost performance. It helps me organize every project that’s been assigned to me, and I can easily see all the deadlines in Notion Calendar. I can also create a database about our subcontractors and monitor the RFQs we’ve sent out. Another thing I like is that it can connect to other pages in our workspace, which makes it easier to keep everything linked and organized. The main things I dislike about Notion so far are that it doesn’t have an offline mode and it doesn’t offer a local file directory like Google Drive. If I could keep my local files within Notion, I think it would really boost my productivity.

I also run into issues with table views. It can be difficult to scroll left and right unless I first scroll all the way to the bottom, which interrupts my workflow. Honestly, the thing that keeps me coming back is how good it feels to actually use. The pages are clean and calm, nothing's shouting at you, and moving stuff around is weirdly satisfying — I hit the slash key and the page just morphs into whatever's in my head, whether that's a checklist, a table, or a full write-up. The other big one is that my whole scattered life finally lives under one roof. My documents, my Slack threads, my Drive files, the tasks I'd normally lose track of — they all sit next to each other and actually link up, so I'm not bouncing between ten tabs trying to remember where something went. The flip side of all that freedom is that it can quietly eat your time. The same smoothness that makes building a page fun also makes it really easy to sit there prettifying something for an hour instead of doing the actual work — I've absolutely lost an evening making a page look nice that I barely opened again.

My more practical gripe shows up once I've got a lot piled in: things can get a touch sluggish, and every so often I go hunting for a note I know exists and it takes longer than it should to surface. Little friction, but it adds up on a busy day.

And I remember the early days being a bit daunting. That blank page is freedom, sure, but when you're new it's also a "…okay, now what?" moment, and it takes a minute before the ready-made starting points and help actually click. There's a learning curve. The cost is the other honest one — once you fold in a few teammates and the extra bells and whistles, the number creeps up, so you do end up doing the mental math on whether you're squeezing enough value out of it. There are options to make agents and I actually had one of my micro services coded out and deployed as fully working minimal viable product without even realising that there was an ability to do it. As a Social Media Executive, what I like most about Notion is that I don’t have to use multiple tools and documents everything is organized in one place. I got into Notion after watching people online utilize it to manage their day and honestly, I can't thank Notion enough for helping me get my life back on track. I am easily able to organize all my notes, list and checkoff all my assignments, and make it feel/function exactly how I want. Furthermore it's so fun to use as a journal, plan, and budget my expenses! Notion has so many features that I find truly helpful in the way I work, however the most expected thing that I can say is that larger databases like mine will eventually begin to suffer performance issues, even on powerful computers. Notion's system is also beginning to grow rapidly at the cost of simplicity. A lot of features that I continue to use are tucked away or harder to find now. I work in tech sales for an engineering software company that has become the most popular software in the industry due to user experience, so I rank the important of user experience very high, and I think Notion is second to none in that category. When I use Notion, I feel like someone got into my brain and designed this software specifically for me. It just works the way I expect it to and it still finds a way to exceed my expectations. I wish the data could be shared in more restrictive ways so you could control the amount of properties or details a viewer could see.

1) I wish you cold hide the main page's property column in a database view. This would allow you to share the view of the database with someone without the risk of them digging deeper into data you don't want them to see.

2) I wish you could create an exact clone of another database and just eliminate columns from it while the rest of the columns/rows continued to stay synced. That would be another way to share data while restricting it.

3) You could also assign permissions to properties/columns. By specifying permissions on a column-by-column basis, you could ensure your shared data isn't revealing proprietary information.

The other thing that bugs me is the inability to create a rollup of a rollup. I understand that this limitation probably exists to limit performance issues, but I think I should be able to have an exception if I choose to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
