Notion could definitely have a better onboarding When I first discovered Notion through YouTube videos and decided to use it, I was awestruck but also completely overwhelmed. I couldn't really understand how to use it or how to build operating systems and templates. It would be brilliant if there was a proper, advanced onboarding guide that walked users through the entire app. For example, they could implement an AI voice agent that you can actually talk back and forth with. It would basically act as a personal teacher as you learn how to use the platform. Drag-and-drop reorganization and the ability to toggle between table, board, and calendar views for the same data has saved real time when different stakeholders need to see the same information differently. **What do you dislike about Notion?** The main friction point is performance as databases scale — with a growing dispute tracker, some filtered views and complex relations start to feel sluggish compared to when the workspace was smaller. It's not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. The other is that Notion's flexibility is a double-edged sword: because there's no single "right" way to structure a database, it took some trial and error early on to land on a system that worked well for our dispute workflow, rather than something more opinionated out of the box. **What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before building our system in Notion, dispute tracking was scattered across spreadsheets and email threads, which made it easy to miss deadlines or lose track of where a case stood. Notion gave us one central place to track dispute status, evidence, and deadlines, so nothing slips through the cracks. The bigger benefit is visibility: anyone on the team can check a dispute's status without having to ping someone else or dig through email history.
