"Ultimate All-in-One Workspace for Work and Study"
What do you like best about Notion?

The best thing about Notion is its incredible flexibility as an all-in-one workspace.

It's not just one tool; it's a set of building blocks (like text, databases, calendars, and code) that lets you create a single, custom hub for everything.

For Job: I can manage complex projects, create a team wiki, track tasks, and take meeting notes—all in one place.

For Study: I can build a "second brain" to take class notes, organize your research, track your assignments on a calendar, and plan your thesis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Limited Native Charts: The built-in charts (bar, line, donut) are very basic. They lack the advanced customization that tools like Excel or Google Sheets have had for decades.

Clunky Workflow: You can't edit data directly from the chart view; you have to go back to the database.

Slow & Limited: Charts based on complex databases (with many relations or rollups) can be extremely slow to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Data Management and Access with Notion"
What do you like best about Notion?

Notion is a cloud based work space for our business that helps us in storing all of our business data through tables and advance Excel sheets. This platform helps us in accessing our old data of different departments just in few minutes from wherever and whenever we want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

The platform gives best experience whenever we access it online. The offline flexibility of notion is not that good, this software is slow whenever we try to load large PDF pages. Also, I feel that the security of cloud storage is not that strong as compared to Google work space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The tool that can handle it all!"
What do you like best about Notion?

My favorite thing about notion is it’s ability to use databases and create linked powerful views and dashboard views of that database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Since Notion can do literally anything, it feels like there’s almost too much it can do and it’s sometimes difficult to figure out what features of notion you want to use versus what you need to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ultimate Custom Workspace for Seamless Planning and Workflow"
What do you like best about Notion?

Notion works like a "blank operating system" for my work. Rather than confining me to a set format, it allows me to design pages and databases exactly as I prefer. I can start by sketching an idea, develop it into a structured plan, and then transform that plan into a trackable workflow—all without needing to switch between different tools. The flexibility to rearrange blocks, link databases, and create small internal tools makes it feel more like a workspace I've built for myself, rather than just a tool I'm using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Notion tends to become demanding as the workspace grows. When managing a project that involves several linked databases or contains a lot of content, the app slows down more than I anticipated. Additionally, I find it unreliable when working offline, as it often fails to load all the necessary information, which interrupts my planning sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Collaborative Powerhouse with Streamlined Features"
What do you like best about Notion?

I love using Notion for its extensive and well-designed board that facilitates collaboration while keeping things simple yet structured, which is vital for my sprint planning and developer documentation tasks. The platform's ability to organize my to-dos with a structured priority system significantly enhances my work efficiency and ensures transparency when collaborating with my team members. Additionally, I appreciate Notion's new autocomplete AI feature, which is incredibly compelling. It helps me complete technical documentation quickly by predicting the next exact words, streamlining my workflow. I find the platform's integration capabilities with tools like Jira for attaching tickets and Google for scheduling meetings particularly beneficial, which enhances my productivity. The initial setup of Notion was impressively simple, requiring just signing up with my Google account, which made it easy to start collaborating with my team promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

I believe the free plan restricts the use of some features, which I find to be a downside despite understanding the reasoning behind it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fully Customizable but Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Notion?

I like that Notion is fully customizable, allowing me to tailor the platform to meet a wide array of needs both in project management and personal productivity. The flexibility to organize many different projects acutely in the short term while also keeping long-term goals in perspective is unparalleled by any other app or planner I've used. Furthermore, I appreciate the large community resource available for templates and various types of tools, which significantly enhances my experience by providing a powerful toolset without a hefty price tag. Notion is not just a tool for managing individual tasks; it is a comprehensive system that can be molded to fit complex needs. This adaptability, combined with a rich community offering resources and templates, simplifies processes and boosts my productivity in a cost-effective way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

I found Notion to have a steep learning curve when I first started using it. Initially, I found it difficult to understand what it was designed for, particularly because I hadn't used a project management system before. This led to my giving up on it a few times before returning to it based on a recommendation from a teacher. Additionally, setting it up was quite challenging and required dedicated time as it felt like a very front-end-heavy process. Although I now find it smooth to use, I believe that having a guided tutorial on the hierarchy of organization within Notion would be beneficial for newcomers. "Unmatched Customization and Ease of Use in Notion"
What do you like best about Notion?

I love the customization capabilities in Notion — using it for SOP documentation, project management tracking, calendar tracking, etc. It's incredibly easy to use but has the ability to incorporate advanced features and components for more complex builds. It also integrates seamlessly with a lot of other tools that we use regularly as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Sometimes the search functionality doesn't display all of the relevant pages, so it can be a bit difficult to find specific documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Yet Powerful, But Needs Better Writing Tools"
What do you like best about Notion?

I have been using Notion for around a year to organize both my personal and professional life, and it has proven invaluable. One of the things I appreciate the most is its ability to record long, dense meetings and effectively break down big projects, outline goals, and visualize concepts. The user interface is another aspect I love; it is simple yet powerful, making it easy to navigate and manage complex information. Furthermore, the incorporation of AI was a decisive factor for me to upgrade my Notion subscription, as it enhances the overall efficiency and capabilities. The transition from Obsidian Vault to Notion was primarily due to its simplicity and the integrated AI features, which vastly improve the workflow. Overall, Notion has made organizing my life smoother and more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

I find the 'improve writing' feature in Notion Mail horribly ineffective. It alters my content by cutting out crucial parts, sometimes changing the language inappropriately, and often making my text much shorter than intended, which reduces its clarity and effectiveness. "Centralized Collaboration Made Effortless with Notion's Powerful AI Integration"
What do you like best about Notion?

I really appreciate having a central space where we can share ideas outside of Slack, making it easy to access, reference, and organize information by team. We rely on Notion daily for everything from keeping track of 1:1 notes to outlining projects. Now that AI is integrated, it's more powerful than ever and supports a wide range of different lines of business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

The product does have a bit of a learning curve, especially if you're new to it, and it used to take some time to really get the hang of creating pages and organizing everything. However, with the addition of AI, we no longer find it difficult to use at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Notion - Huge Help for Efficiency & Effectiveness!"
What do you like best about Notion?

Notion provides a lot of ways to view information without having to input the data multiple times, so it works well with the way not only my mind but also the minds of people I work with work. There are so many options for how you structure things, so it truly is a versatile tool that is both efficient and effective for many people - something rare to find.

I appreciate that the company value privacy and security highly. Too often, I cannot use tools that seem useful due to the privacy and security not being adequate. With Notion, they have clear explanations on the topic that are public and easy to find - and they give specifics and follow through on this value.

Notion is continuously improving and expanding. While scaling is often where companies, and especially tech like this, fail, Notion seems to be doing well with it. They are making existing aspects of the product better and adding new options/features with minimal interruption (seconds) or downtime and issues due to problems in new releases.

One of the features that was new and is still being improved is NotionAI. I have been impressed with it even before the latest improvements. Being able to specify which workspaces it should be looking at within your account for answers is incredibly useful, especially if you use it for your own business and for clients or for your personal life. The meeting notes are great as well, I would say similar to fathom in a lot of ways. For me, Notion AI is the best one that I have used or heard about, so I definitely recommend giving it a try. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

With so many options, it is easy for me to get lost in the weeds of setting things up, whether from me getting too focused on finding as many things as will be useful and interesting or from me getting overwhelmed. Working with someone else who will also be using it has helped me in this regard, as has realizing that if I just pick any of the (free!) templates that look mostly good, we are going to adjust them to fit our uses anyway.

I also get myself confused about where to find things at times, but I think that this is something that is more of a me issue and decreasing the more that I am using it.

Finally, I wish that Notion was integrated with Microsoft. I know that this is something that is difficult and takes a long time for many companies due to how Microsoft handles it and that the Notion team has indicated they wish to get this integration into place. However, I see others I work with using it integrated with their google accounts and want to be able to take advantage of those options to improve efficiency even more!
