The combo of freeform pages + databases is what sells it for me. The performance is very good. **What do you dislike about Notion?** There are a few things I don’t like about Notion. First, I think there are still parts of the interface that could be more intuitive. For example, when I’m writing a long document with toggles, I sometimes lose track of whether my cursor is inside the toggle’s content or outside of it. The visual hierarchy between the toggle and the surrounding document is so subtle that it can be confusing while writing and organizing long-form content. My biggest frustration, however, is the subscription experience. I feel it’s too aggressive. If there’s an issue with your credit card or you stop paying for any reason, Notion blocks access to pages that should still be available under the free plan. That felt unnecessarily harsh to me. It wasn’t just that I lost premium features. I temporarily lost access to content that I would expect to remain available on the free tier. The pricing model also doesn’t fit every type of user. The only reason I upgraded was because I wanted to create a personal workspace to organize my wardrobe by uploading photos of my clothes. I didn’t need AI, team collaboration, or advanced business features. I just needed a little more storage. At the same time, the free plan feels too limited. Today, with so many competitors offering generous free storage, being unable to upload even a handful of photos without paying for the Business Plan feels outdated. For my use case, I’d happily pay for additional storage, but not for an entire bundle of features I don’t need. As of right now, notion is the data bank of all our e-commerce operations so it’s very helpful. Notions UI is straight-forward and easy to understand. I do feel like it could be more optimised for iPad, since I use it a lot on the iPad. The integrations are key: I have connected all my AI agents like Manus Ai, Claude AI and even ChatGPT to Notion, which saves us a ton of time. Performance wise -> Notion does the job, however the speed can get quite slow once a database or a page is filled with information, files you name it. Pricing is fair, very fair actually. When you have a bigger team using the same database, I'd like to limit certain properties to specific teammates, so only specific people can see particular columns or properties. Currently, this isn't available. I can't lock opening pages to some teammates either. For example, I want my logistical team to see only logistical details and the accounting team to view only the financial parts, but now everyone can see everything. Even if I create views and lock them, anyone can open and see everything, which is a huge limitation for business. Also, the integration with ChatGPT is still not properly optimized. The initial setup was quite complex and takes a learning curve. Formulas in Notion are not intuitive or diverse enough, which I find challenging.
