## Notion Reviews
 ### 1. Flexibility Shines, Integration Falls Short

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar A.

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I use Notion for both work and personal organization. It helps keep my personal to-dos organized and serves as a knowledge repository for my company. I really like Notion's flexibility, especially in creating charts, databases, sorting views, and so on. The initial setup was easy, and it works well for creating dedicated spaces for new projects.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

It doesn't do great with MCP. They don't have an MCP server for Claude to talk to. My team is trying to switch to Confluence because of this.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion to keep my personal todos organized and as a knowledge repository for my company, with every new project having a Notion space.

 ### 2. Easy Doc Collaboration and Great Formatting, but Navigation Can Be Confusing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

the formatting and how easy it is to collab on docs

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

navigating it sometimes can be a bit comp

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ppl can easily comment and format stuff w/o giving the vibe of a google doc

 ### 3. Solid Team Collaboration, Needs GUI Improvements

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nada H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like Notion for organizing tasks with my team. Having the chance to add notes and comments and allowing others on my team to add their comments is really beneficial. It helps in task assignment and knowing who does what and when. The initial setup was easy with the training provided by my company.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find Notion's layout unclear sometimes, and the functions could be cleaner and easier to use.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion for task assignment and progress tracking, allowing me to organize tasks with my team efficiently. Adding notes and comments helps us know who does what and when, enhancing collaboration.

 ### 4. GAME CHANGING AI IMPLEMENTATION -- ALMOST PERFECT

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawna M. | Community Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

It gives a broad range of options for organizing any aspect of life. I signed up almost exclusively for the AI automations and really love the deep integrations offered. I have it connected to Claude and have been using it via my desktop terminal to design my own second brain template.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

UI customization is super limited which frustrates me because I want to make optimizations that help my neurodivergent brain. Also, the AI will delete pages and I don't understand why.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its serving as a master database for my brain. This helps me drop anything and recall it later, especially with the robust filter and property options added. Its solving the platform switching since it now offers Email and Calendar too.

 ### 5. Feature-Rich Yet Buggy Experience

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Utkarsh S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I love Notion because it offers an incredible variety of formatting tools and different types of blocks that can be utilized creatively. My favorite features are the notion blocks like collapsible sections, to-do lists, and signature blocks, which allow me to craft complex and interrelated notes. This flexibility in formatting really enables me to organize and structure my notes in a detailed and interconnected manner, tailored perfectly to my specific needs, whether for personal or work-related documentation. I also appreciate the delightful interface and user experience it provides for taking and creating well-documented notes. These features collectively enhance my note-taking and organizational tasks, making them not only efficient but also enjoyable.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find Notion to be quite buggy overall. The undo and redo functionalities don't work perfectly, which can be frustrating. Additionally, the Notion AI is very slow and inconsistent in its performance. There are many rough edges in the platform. When Notion grows large, it becomes problematic, slow, and cumbersome to use.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion for taking personal and work-related notes, writing documentation, and sharing company-wide docs. It offers a user-friendly interface and rich formatting tools, enabling me to create complex, well-documented notes.

 ### 6. Complex Setup with Promising Features

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corbin H.

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

For some reason it's the only tool we've tried for product management for which we've gotten full team adoption. This is crucial, as getting everyone on board with a tool is a battle in itself, and Notion has accomplished this. Additionally, the inclusion of Markdown syntax as a feature is a real advantage. It's not only helpful but also remarkably easy for non-technical members of the team to learn and use.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

* My biggest feature request is to be able to reorder a database arbitrarily. This was I can keep a prioritized backlog for my team without maintaining a priority column which I have to keep updating with arbitrary length decimal values to get things ordered just how I like. I want to be able to just drag items to the intended spot. * I should be able to get friendly links to my pages, for example if I have a database page with a specified short id I should be able to link to "notion.so/company-name/database-id/page-id" * Page comments need to show up in search more clearly. Without this it can be very difficult to find intended pages again. * PDF export should have page breaks and links should link back to the Notion pages * I want to be able to update properties on a page conditionally within an automation * I want to be able to exclude areas from our workspace in search * In publicly published pages (such as visible on the web), it would be nice for headers to show as anchor links (like GitHub does with markdown)

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion for project and product management.

 ### 7. Clunky Editor and Unhelpful Databases Hold Notion Back

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eve H. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I used to like how Notion allowed me to work with text with an AI support resource.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find the text editor to be clunky and difficult to use. I find the databases to be largely unhelpful since they are also very cumbersome to work with. I think Notion has lost track of its user. The Mail and Calendar apps are weak. I feel like the use of agents is more a fad than actually solving a real user problem.

When it comes to working with AI, the problem I have with the AI chat apps that I use, like Claude, is that they don't have document management support. I think that Notion could easily have gone that direction of allowing people to manage their documents with AI support. I just think a lot of features have crept in that aren't helpful.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have stopped using Notion and switched to Obsidian, which has fewer features but allows for more direct file management by my AI systems that have MCP tools that allow them to update the file system. Since Obsidian allows file edits, this integration actually works quite well.

 ### 8. Great Meeting Notes & Summaries, but Needs Better Automation and Page Organization

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

what i like best are the meeting notes and their summary

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

lack of automated orgniazation and number of pages

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i mostly use it for meetings

 ### 9. Highly Customizable, Overwhelming Options

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthieu G.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like the design and how I can create exactly how I envision it in Notion. I can create a table with chips, link data from one table to another, and connect pages, which means everything is connected. The initial setup was very easy, which made getting started straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

There are so many options so sometimes I get lost. It's kind of coding so sometimes I tell myself I'll do it later but I never do.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion for documentation at work and managing personal finances. I love its design and the flexibility to create connections between tables and pages, making everything interconnected.

 ### 10. Powerful AI Search, but Project Board Formatting and UI Need Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Everything is powered by AI, and it makes searching for information quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Formatting project boards and charts feels difficult and more time-consuming than it should be. Overall, the UI/UX isn’t very user-friendly, which makes it harder to navigate and get things set up the way I want.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like having project boards and related information stored all in one place, which makes it easier to stay organized and find what I need.

 ### 11. Great Multilingual Meeting Summaries, but Recording Can Be Unreliable

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Dispute Resolution | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Summarize meeting, recording in multiple languages

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

App crushing, missing to record important meetings sometimes

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to start with, good at responding questions

 ### 12. Organize and share documents

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin D. | Qa Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like that everyone in my organization can share all their thoughts and we can easily fellow them to slack and also publish them to our website blog and AI is really helpful for finding other people's documents as well

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

There are a couple of formatting features that I miss.Since i'm used to using stuff like microsoft office and word and excel, being able to do a little bit more robust rearranging of things like make it look pretty or be better organized within a document be helpful

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Within our company, we use it to create and publish our own documents to share proposals within our teams. And also to leave comments. So no she gives me a platform where I can deliver my own ideas and share them with my team

 ### 13. Easy to Use and Understand, with Room to Grow

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer W. | Post Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

It’s easy to use and understand. The cards are pretty straightforward, so it doesn’t take long to get the hang of them.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

There's alot of clutter. I think that means the UI isn't that simplified to take advantage of the extras.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its easy to collaborate with others and make it your own.

 ### 14. AI Meeting Notes Useful but Hard to Extract

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Agustin T.

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I find Notion incredibly valuable for creating our own internal wiki, which helps organize and centralize information efficiently. I love the AI meeting notes feature, which allows me to hit play and get a comprehensive recording of the entire meeting. This feature provides a reliable source of truth for what was discussed in meetings, enhancing clarity and helping in documenting discussions accurately.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I am frustrated with the AI meeting notes in Notion. Although the AI feature seems promising, it struggles to identify who is speaking during calls, limiting its usefulness. Additionally, extracting notes information through API is not very effective. These limitations make the AI meeting notes less helpful than they could be. Furthermore, the initial setup of Notion was challenging, and that difficulty impacted my overall experience with the product.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion to create our internal wiki and record meetings, providing a valuable source of truth, although extracting AI notes isn't easy.

 ### 15. Powerful Generative AI Agents, but Integrations Need Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

AI Agents for Business Operations. I like the generative capabilities a lot

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Lack of integrations, which could be an issue at my org's level

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AI Agents for Business Operations

 ### 16. Works well but isn't customizable or as in-depth as I would like.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I plan to use Notion extensively for technical writing, order management, habit tracking, and journaling. It's been invaluable as a prototyping tool to discover what works in my workflows, but its limitations are clear.

What Works Well:

Claude AI Integration - The ability to interact with my Notion workspace through Claude is genuinely transformative. It accelerates documentation work, helps with organization, and adds intelligent automation to my workflow.

True Cross-Platform Access - Native apps on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android mean I can work seamlessly across all devices. This isn't just web access—it's properly implemented native experiences.

Workflow Discovery - Notion excels as a rapid prototyping environment. I can quickly test organizational structures, documentation approaches, and workflow patterns to figure out what actually works before committing to a more permanent solution.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

1. Markdown & Table Formatting Issues

Pasting markdown tables either fails completely or produces messy, malformed results that require extensive manual cleanup
Tables lack critical features for technical documentation: no merged cells, limited formatting options, and poor handling of complex data structures
This significantly slows down documentation workflows when migrating from other tools or working with structured technical data

2. Rigid Design & Layout Constraints

Page layouts are extremely limited—you're stuck with Notion's predetermined aesthetic
No ability to customize UI elements, spacing, or create truly custom page designs
For professional technical documentation or client-facing materials, the lack of design control is a dealbreaker
Everything looks "like Notion" with no way to create a unique, polished visual identity

3. Database Filter Limitations

Cannot toggle filters on/off without creating entirely new views
This clutters workspaces with multiple views just to see different filter combinations
For use cases requiring frequent filter changes (order management, habit tracking), this adds unnecessary friction
No quick filter panel or temporary filter options

4. No Task Nesting or Subtasks in Tables

Cannot create hierarchical task structures within database tables
No native subtask functionality—forces workarounds with relations or separate databases
Makes project management and complex task tracking cumbersome compared to dedicated task management tools

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion is being tested as a tool to rewrite and format old powerpoint instructions to a more digestible and digital format. I am additionally attempting to replace a few different applications for habit tracking, task management, and order management with notion. It serves as a good tool for those habits. The more I use it the more I find it is intensely useful if I dont need anything complex from it.

 ### 17. Powerful Organizational Tool with a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher W.

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I find Notion invaluable for organizing both personal and professional projects, offering a unified system that I hadn't found with other services. Having everything stored in one place is particularly beneficial, as it helps streamline my workflow significantly. I appreciate the AI assistant feature immensely; it's a great tool that simplifies navigating and executing tasks within Notion, especially when I don't have the time to manually figure out complex actions. I also enjoy the templates that Notion offers, albeit some come with a cost. Despite that, the templates provide structured frameworks which I find quite useful to kickstart a variety of projects. Overall, Notion's flexibility is a standout benefit that makes it a worthwhile service for me.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find the learning curve for Notion to be challenging and overwhelming, even with my technical background. Setting up the platform was difficult, and I had to rely heavily on external resources like videos and the AI assistant to understand the platform's functionalities. Despite using Notion for months, I still feel I haven't fully grasped it. The onboarding process seems cumbersome, and existing tutorials aren't intuitive enough, which makes integrating and utilizing all features daunting. Additionally, the necessity to purchase templates without a preview or trial feels odd, as it forces me to spend money on something I might not fully utilize.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion helps me organize my book and projects both personally and professionally, centralizing everything in one place, and offers an AI assistant to streamline tasks.

 ### 18. Clear UI, But Quite Pricey

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason R. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I appreciate Notion for its clear and concise interface, which provides a good user experience. The ease of use really stands out to me, making it simple to track my daily life and manage events without feeling overwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

It's pretty pricey.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion helps me track events I might miss and keeps me on track of things.

 ### 19. Easy Document Tracking, but the Screen Layout Feels Confusing

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Easy to track documents and find where you saved them

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

It can be confusing, for some reason things start mid-screen instead of left-justified

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It doesn't solve any for me specifically. I think for my company it's just the one place to keep all documentation

 ### 20. Aesthetic Note-Taking, But Forced Sign-Ins Get in the Way

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

It looks aesthetic/minimal and is good for notes.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

It keeps having me sign in, I want to use it without logging in.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It stores documentation that is easy to reference.

 ### 21. Versatile but Challenging for Beginners

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ciara B.

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I find Notion incredibly easy to use for my brain, especially with dyslexia and ADHD, due to its layout and customizable settings. I love that I can use everything on my keyboard without needing to switch to a mouse, which streamlines my workflow. The Notion AI is a fantastic feature; it helps me automate the creation of databases, conduct research, and set up calendars with deadlines, which has been invaluable for my academic pursuits. I also appreciate how it can transcribe notes, allowing me to have both digital and handwritten records, which is particularly useful for writing papers and understanding lectures. Notion serves as a central hub for all my notes and personal projects, making it much easier to manage creative writing and PhD application tasks. Its ability to assist with research by connecting my Notion pages enhances the breadth of information I can access quickly.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find Notion difficult for new users due to a challenging learning curve. While I got used to it, introducing it to others has been tough since people aren't willing to invest the time to learn it. I also think it's geared more towards businesses now, making it more expensive and less accessible for students or personal use, which might affect my continued use, especially with higher education in mind. Sharing pages and collaborating with others can also be problematic; it's often easier to switch back to Google Docs, which is more user-friendly and cost-effective. Additionally, I wish for better integration with other tools like Google Calendar and Gmail, which would streamline my workflow significantly.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion assists me with organizing personal tasks and PhD applications, accommodates my ADHD and dyslexia with its adaptable features, and simplifies note-taking with AI, enhancing efficiency.

 ### 22. Clean Design, But Lacks Intuitive Navigation

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amogh J.

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I really like Notion for its simple design which initially attracted me to the platform. The setup process was smooth and straightforward, particularly due to the use of Single Sign-On (SSO) by my company, simplifying account setup. I appreciate that inputting documentation is quite easy, and the tables feature is both neat and visually appealing, which adds to the organizational aspect during the RFC and design phases of software development. The clean look of Notion is appealing and is a factor that would make me consider using the tool again.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find Notion to be kind of difficult to use. It's not super intuitive, particularly when it comes to finding links or navigating tasks. The user interface could be more straightforward. I wish the clicks were more intuitive and that pages were more accessible, as it's not always clear how to navigate or create new pages.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At work, Notion centralizes our documentation, but its UI can be unintuitive and hard to navigate for tasks. I like its neat tables and ease of inputting documentation, aiding our RFC and design phases.

 ### 23. Great Search, but Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shehzad H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like the search feature in Notion to look for things I can find. The initial setup of Notion was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find Notion a bit hard to understand. I struggle with understanding note-taking software including Evernote and OneNote too. I feel like I'm not really using Notion to its full potential. I don't understand the whole database thing in Notion.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion for recapping meetings and keeping track of information.

 ### 24. Smart Markdown Notes, But the UI and Product Roadmap Need Clarity

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

A smart, quick way to take notes in Markdown.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

it doesn't have a cleau UI and product roadmap. it seems want to be the swiss knife for everything (AI, notes, writing, summary, meeting notes)

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

simple notes, not other usage

 ### 25. Versatile Tool for Organization, Limited by Data Location

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stein-Otto S.

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

What I like the most about Notion is that it basically gets out of my way. I appreciate its simple system for systemizing information, which we can use for handling our team's meeting notes, Kanban boards, and wiki. Notion serves us well in organizing these aspects without complicating things.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

The only real issue is that it cannot save data in the EU.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion across our organization for notes, meeting notes, and a wiki, systemizing information. It's a simple system that helps handle our team's meeting notes and Kanban boards.

 ### 26. Can I get the AI option off of my screen because it under performs

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lori B. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

The granular permissions and ability to move and copy blocks from one place to the other easily are by far the best features

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

The AI has been virtually useless for me, I hate that it is in a place where I keep accidentally clicking on it. I would like it to go away. I tried to embrace it and found it worse than useless, it took lots of my time trying to make it do things I wanted and it would not generally perform any better than my copying and pasting things by myself.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing client records and contacts

 ### 27. Powerful Custom Agents, But a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

the ability to create agents for what I need

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

It is a bit hard to learn it at first, so not very user friendly

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am currently job searching and it helps me not only tailor my CV and also eveluate if the job description fits my profile.

 ### 28. Great for Cross-Device Reminders, Lacks Advanced Features

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Inès L.

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I use Notion primarily as a reminder across all my devices, which makes it easy to keep track of things. I really like that Notion works across apps and can rephrase a bunch of stuff, which helps me sometimes when I need to write emails or send messages to people over chat.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I think Notion is too basic in some ways for building a portfolio website. I'd like it to make more sense, especially from a picture presentation point of view.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion as a reminder for things. It works across devices and is easy to keep track of stuff, which I find really helpful.

 ### 29. Put your Notion workspace on autopilot with Notion AI

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Notion AI offers a seamless integration into Notion’s existing workflows, enhancing productivity without disrupting the platform’s familiar design. Its ability to auto-fill database properties based on a page’s content is especially powerful, saving time in manual tagging and ensuring consistency across linked databases. AI Blocks allow for highly customized content generation directly within pages, making it easy to draft text, brainstorm ideas, or produce quick summaries tailored to specific prompts. The auto-categorization feature streamlines organization, automatically sorting items into relevant tags or folders. Another standout use case is how Notion AI cleans up pages imported via the Web Clipper -- removing clutter, reformatting text, and turning captured articles or resources into neatly structured Notion pages ready for immediate use.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

On the downside, the AI’s output isn’t always completely accurate or aligned with expectations, even when detailed prompts are given. This, however, is less a flaw in the tool itself and more a reflection of the need to improve prompt engineering skills. With well-crafted, specific instructions, many of these accuracy gaps can be mitigated over time.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization of knowledge, and most importantly activating that knowledge by connecting it to one another through mapping "relationships" between data. It allows me to tap into my brain from years past, to solve problems for tomorrow

 ### 30. Notion released its new ai assistant quite some time back but has fell short in delivering compared to other competitors

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DAKSH KUSHWAH I. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Notion?**

No mew points at the moment, Notion should focus on executing the existing product and bring in meaningful updates in ai capabilities. Things like a builtin plag checker could be good. The only reason I now use grammarly or quillbot is due to the plag checker. Everything else I moved to notion

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Better and meaningful AI capabilities and offline support with proper sync is an absolute must. Hurts to see Notion still hasn't shown a lot of progress on the latter

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a student I need to generate a lot of content/emails/cover letters on a daily basis meant to be sent to recruiters, professors, peers ans such. Notion takes it and does it in a single tap. I've a ChatGPT Premium subscription but I still find Notion much better in the convenience and the UX as a writing assistant. Although Notion can think of integrating newer and better models to users, probably a tiered pricing model as sometimes I think the model does fall short compared to GPT4

 ### 31. Powerful Features, But Needs Improved Admin Controls

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Violet s.

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I love having a centralized company source of information in Notion, as it solves the problem of disparate data locations. I appreciate the database relation functions, enabling me to create a personalized dashboard for project management with multiple views. Altering permissions by department and team makes information access easier and more organized.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find it challenging that Notion becomes a vast repository of information with multiple nested pages, making it difficult to clear out irrelevant, outdated, or archived information. This process is very manual, and typically no single person at a company is responsible for maintaining Notion. I believe there should be an automated way to manage and sweep through unused information to ensure data remains accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, there should be more administrative capabilities for creating user settings within a company. It's also cumbersome for new employees to start from scratch in learning how to use Notion effectively without a predefined framework or templates that match the company’s workflow.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion centralizes company information, solving fragmented data issues, and allows for permission customization, providing a clear and organized way to present and access information.

 ### 32. Flexibility with Some Aesthetic Limitations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonio T.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like Notion for the infinite hierarchies it offers, which greatly helps in managing schedules and projects in the commercial sector where I am a manager.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find the layout extremely ugly and not user-friendly, especially when compared to Monday. The tables seem dry and lack interaction. Additionally, the initial setup of Notion was difficult.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion for managing schedules and projects, helping with the control of activities in the commercial sector. I switched from Monday to Notion due to the lack of hierarchies in Monday.

 ### 33. Great for Quick Reference, but Navigation Can Feel Like a Rabbit Hole

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I think Notion is a great reference point for easily finding information I need quickly

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I think there are times I find myself too far into Notion and needing to back up to get back to a searchable page

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion again makes it easy to store all our documents and trainings, etc in one place

 ### 34. Customizable Tables but Lacks Key Integrations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gareth W.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like that Notion allows me to create tables that make sense for me. It's great that I can design data tables and color code them in a way that makes it easier to see the progress of each client on a grander scale. The initial setup was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I dislike the difficulty in integrating with Salesforce.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion helps me keep track of client's progress by allowing me to design and color-code data tables, making it easier to see progress on a larger scale.

 ### 35. Great Layout Tools, But Buggy Experience

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like Notion's layout tools. They make it easy to design layouts.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

The process of laying out a page is a little bit tedious sometimes, and there are a lot of weird finicky bugs. It's particularly confusing to go back to a single column after creating a line separated into three columns.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion doesn't solve specific problems for me but its layout tools make it easy to design layouts.

 ### 36. Great for Organizing Transcribed Notes, but Navigation Can Feel Overwhelming

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

It’s a great database for keeping all my notes that I took using a different transcriber app.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

It can feel a bit overwhelming with so many different pages to navigate. The training resources are also somewhat difficult to locate.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a good place to store your thoughts.

 ### 37. Helpful Checklists, But Too Many Options to Navigate

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Keeping a checklist, organizing my thoughts

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Seems to be almost too many options and things to do but for my work they may just not be necessary

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping my thoughts organized and straight

 ### 38. Great for structured notes, but slow and hard to use on low-end computers

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Structured notes and pages, with good performance and easy team sharing.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

The interface feels heavy and slow on low-cost computers. The AI help is predictable.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

use only as notes

 ### 39. Versatile for Collaboration, Needs Pricing and Printing Tweaks

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joy C.

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like Notion's ability to easily create databases, which is a feature I previously experienced in tools like Confluence and Jira. It’s convenient to have all my information consolidated in one place, making organization and accessibility straightforward and efficient. This capability is particularly useful for documentation and collaboration tasks, helping me manage data aggregation and database issues effectively.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I am discouraged by Notion's failure to implement the startup founder price as promised, which has affected my plans to use it for another app which wasted A LOT of time. Additionally, I am not satisfied with Notion's printing capabilities as it doesn't produce printer-friendly outputs.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Notion for documentation and collaboration, solving data aggregation issues and centralizing my information in one place.

 ### 40. Flexible All-in-One Tool, But Slows Down with Large Databases

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

What I like best about Notion is how flexible it is—you can use it for everything from simple notes to complex project management, all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

One thing I dislike is that Notion can feel a bit slow at times, especially with larger databases or complex pages.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion solves the problem of having information scattered across multiple tools by bringing notes, tasks, and databases into one place. This benefits me by helping me stay organized, reduce context switching, and keep everything I need easily accessible.

 ### 41. Integration Is Handy, But Lacks Intuitive AI Features

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hossam M. | support team lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

that it can be used on the phone and the pc and due to that integration I have my plans everywhere

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I cannot feel any Ai presence in it , may be I am not trained enough for it but the fact that you need training for it does not make it easy to use

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Advanced note taker , planning my daily activities

 ### 42. Great for Organization, Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

As a ghostwriter, I like that Notion is easy to use. It helps me organize my thoughts and allows me to write as multiple agencies, which is really important for me. I use it to organize my emails, my website, and my ideas.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Creating a comprehensive base structure for my overall Notion documents was difficult. There's a learning curve, and I often didn't know what I was doing. There's a lot I don't know, and many features that I haven't fully grasped yet.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion helps me organize my thoughts and ideas, Notion also allowsme to work with a team.

 ### 43. Highly Customizable and Organized, but Formatting Can Be Complicated

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

High customization and great way to organize

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Sometimes complicated to use and have things exactly the way you want in terms of formatting and visuals

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing a lot of notes

 ### 44. Updates Break Formulas and Pricing Feels High, Despite Easy Setup

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Ease of use, free accounts and the fact that there are public and private pages if needed

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Updates that break formulas that have been used in the past, the cost

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are in the midst of moving away from Notion due to the fact that we can use Confluence or MSFT Lists to do the same thing. We had been using it as a Resource Management Hub.

 ### 45. Disappointed

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nela L. | Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I was drawn to the wide range of possibilities the software offers. You can use it for any type of project—personal notes, tracking, or even large-scale tasks. And of course integrations.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I usually enjoy setting up project management tools, but this time I found it challenging. The UX is not easy to get. Content blocks are not sync. For instance, I couldn't find out how to have the same calendar view in every page, even when I connected the calendar to my gmail account. I can't customise background colors, setting up a good layout is impossible...but the most important, I can't find out how to track task with the team. Implementation is not that easy as it promised. Furthemore, templates are not that great. I tried to find Youtube tutorials and some knowledge from experts, but I couldn't find anything interesting.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion meants to track marketing initiatives and campaigns. We need a system to have the team on the same page.

 ### 46. Databases are great, but navigation is difficult for finding pages.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin M. | HEAD of Formation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Database is the best feature in Notion!!

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

When I leave pages, I can't find them again.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having draft pages and the all-purpose tool

 ### 47. Notion for Nonprofits was great untill…

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jane P. | CEO & Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Notion provided a healthy discount for nonprofits and we were excited to sign up. Then less than a year later they forced everyone to the enterprise version with 0 discount. It’s sad when companies force out smaller nonprofits due to their decision to change structure.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

It is decent. It’s not life changing and most can be done with many other options instead of having to upgrade to a full enterprise license to use it.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was to help safe time and increase productivity. While it did some again it’s cost took it out of consideration for a small nonprofit.

 ### 48. Great for Collaboration, But Group Management Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** TANISH MANGLA 2. | Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Notion?**

It is easy to organize notes and add content collaboratively

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

It is such a pain if i have joined a group and i want to leave it there are no options and the setting is too much complicated

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We store our important notes and collaborate on ideas which is easier through notion

 ### 49. Great, searchable docs—but organization and deprecated pages are hard to track

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew W. | Enablement Program Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Community documentation of big topics, comprehensive and searchable

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Hard to keep up with organization, deprecated pages, and who owns what.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to organize documentation about our business and where to find policy.

 ### 50. Smart, Data-Learning AI—But the Interface Could Look Better

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Notion?**

The fact that it has an integrated AI that can learn based on the data we feed it.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I think that it's not very pretty to look at.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion is helping in terms of organization.
