User interface and functionality are basic. Doesn't solve any issues for me. **What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Not really solving any problems for me personally. Enterprise search is cool, but AI responses come back with errors and inconsistencies. ### 28. Changing header types and adding rows are extremely non-intuitive. Unable to embedded specific parts of a larger Google doc which is the other tool that we use **What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Primarily used as a public portol for teams that are not aware of projects and work. I got charged $10 to enable the AI feature, which is basically a Chat GPT. Then I couldn't figure out how to turn off the feature. I contacted customer support and help is soooooo slow and difficult to work with. Support just quoted their policy and wouldn't credit me the the $10. It's really a poor customer experience for an insignificant $10. Sadly, customer sevice for Notion has left me dissatisfied with the product and compelled to write this review. **What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Content creation, information management, and AI assisted editing ### 33. I would love to see some kind of support for TTS. Edit: after using it for quite some time, the app gets errors and glitches, the AI server is not online most of the time, and the customer services are not helpful. **What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem it solves is saving time from organizing and making all notes look similar and help to explain more on a text that is unclear and help in testing phase of the lectures ### 34. The way that our tasks are configured and the number of steps to duplicate a task, plus all the dependencies that are pulled over make it extremely complex. Many people on our team are scared to use Notion for fear that something they do will break our system. It is not a visually simple tool either, like Asana for example. **Recommendations to others considering Notion:** n/a **What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has been helpful for me to be able to assign tickets to people and to collaborate with my engineers on the platform. We also use it as a document resource, so it is helpful to be able to go back and find company documentation. ### 35. The database views and database relations have been very helpful. I also love all the different options of properties within a database, and being able to sort/filter on all of them. The ability to gate access page by page has been a treat. **What do you dislike about Notion?** Improved integration with Toggl (3rd party app), or creating timer property (play and stop button?) in a database item would be awesome. Being able to estimate tasks and have the actual time spent as a property has been one of the biggest pain points over the last year and a half. Basecamp handles company announcements well. I don't have specific recommendations for Notion, but I would encourage them to look at Basecamp Message Boards for reference. Being able to make company announcements clearly to technical and non-technical audiences has been one of the biggest hangups for us from completely switching to Notion. Non-technical folks seem intimidated by Notion at times. Not having direct messages may be negative with Notion. Folks have to use Slack or another 3rd party system until this feature would exist. Overall I think Notion is close to having everything I need to use standalone, but some of the functionality above requires me to turn to other 3rd party options. **What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?** I mentioned earlier, but Notion has helped me tremendously with long-form documentation. I use Notion as a wiki to document everything I do. I really can't stress how awesome the database views are too. ### 36.
