The thing I like most about Notion is how customizable it is. I can literally create, from a personal notebook to a full CRM system, inside the same workspace. The block style lets us create simple, ready-to-use databases or complex ones. You can literally build anything you can imagine with Notion.

The interface is easy to use, and you can learn how to set up your workspace in minutes. It is fast and reliable and can be integrated with all tools. Personally, I integrate with Drive, GitHub, and calendar most of the time, and also attach some tweets and PDFs to my pages too.

And when connected with Notion AI, it gets a lot easier to connect the dots on the knowledge in my second brain folder.

What I dislike about Notion is that it feels too passive once everything is set up. I can create detailed plans, routines, and task systems, but if I start skipping tasks or lose consistency, Notion doesn’t actively push me to stay on track. I use Notion to organize my personal and professional tasks, especially because it helps me with organization and serves as a base for storing content, references, schedules, and agendas. I really like that in Notion I can create various tabs with different formats, which is super useful in my marketing work to create different moods like a strategic calendar and moodboard for references. The tags are fantastic because I can quickly filter content based on tags. I find Notion really helpful for organizing all my notes and managing tasks. I do wish that there was a way to import PDFs and write on them. I find that the PDF function, especially with my lecture slides, requires a lot of screenshotting to drag them into Notion. I wish there was an easier way to have entire PDFs as a separate file within Notion that I could also take notes on. Also, I miss the fact that when I tag something as done in the to-do list, it doesn't sort of immediately disappear or go down the list. The to-do lists are a little bit clunky. I expect it to make itself available instantly when I schedule a teams call, either for an internal or external meeting. It does not always. 75% of the time it gives me the option to take notes, but 24% of the time it does not, leaving me the responsibility of taking my own notes. I really like the fact that all the pages can be connected. I like the database aspect and the different filtered views. Notion works like a big binder, so I can easily switch from one page to another and find the information I need. The filtered views allow me to manage the data either day by day or on a specific date. Moreover, Notion has made the transfer from Trello easier and has allowed us to greatly improve our system. Notion is difficult to access for novices, especially regarding formulas in databases. Even though I am comfortable with software, I often need AI to find certain formulas and connections. Internal training or tutorials to help understand Notion would be useful. The current AI helps create pages and databases, but not directly for formulas in columns.
