its in dotnetcore which is one of the best technology currently and best thing is its open source. it uses best of the software design principals. we were having hard time customizing a well known php based ecommerce applicatoin, luckily got to know about nop commerce and created and modified our store in very less time from scratch. best thing is its very organized(uses very good architecture, easy to maintain and work), light weight and fast. its easy to customize and lots of features are already available, now in 4.3 version we can use MySQL database which is open source and dotnetcore can be hosted on any cheap linux server.
