The embedding models excel at producing high-quality semantic search results, which are important for retrieving documents based on meaning rather than just keywords. I find the platform's visualization tools particularly useful; they help me see how documents and data are related, making it easier to manage document collections and ensure accuracy. Additionally, the integration into AI workflows for RAG applications is seamless, thanks to the platform's clean APIs and open-source ecosystem. I've found it very developer-friendly, which is great for prototyping and scaling AI applications. Finally, the initial setup was very easy. **What do you dislike about Nomic Platform?** Overall, I've had a positive experience with Nomic Platform, but there are a few areas where it could improve. The onboarding experience for advanced features could be more guided, especially for teams that are new to embeddings or large-scale RAG systems. It allows me to create workflows quickly by just describing to AI what I want, and it'll build it for me. I also appreciate that once the workflow is set up, I can immediately start uploading documents to retrieve and analyze information. The platform has been helpful in finding specific details on past projects to ensure I'm referencing the latest work and for standards reviews. It's ability to iterate across multiple projects is incredibly valuable, as it ensures I'm using the most recent projects rather than pulling from the last project I did. Additionally, I notice that they have improved their onboarding instructions and ways to organize files recently, which has made the learning curve much less steep. DISCLAIMER: I am also an investor in Nomic **What do you dislike about Nomic Platform?** I think sometimes you have to force it to iterate over a lot of data, but that's something they're working on. It's finding the balance between token preservation and iterating over a lot of data. Also, because it's more of a generic platform, you have to work a little bit to get the workflows working exactly how you want them. **What problems is Nomic Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Nomic Platform for AI use cases to find information in structural and construction documents.
