It was very easy to set up with its smart user interface that directly pulls from an Excel spreadsheet or allows you to just type in the ticker symbols. **What do you dislike about Nitrogen?** The software has a serious flaw as it's numerical only. It should also create a verbal score of sorts, such as conservative, moderate, or aggressive. I also VERY much dislike how they FORCE contract renewal, even for me, a long time user. I will never do business with a company like this again. **What problems is Nitrogen solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used Nitrogen to quickly assess clients' risk tolerance, appreciating its simplicity, though it lacked verbal scoring options. ### 2. It was a good baseline talking point. I was also easy to use. **What do you dislike about Nitrogen?** Nitrogen increased the cost of the main product by over 100%. The execution on the increase was terrible in messaging. They also became terrible at invoicing. I was invoiced incorrectly so many times, that they even had the CEO email me. The end result was a view of a company that lost its way. **What problems is Nitrogen solving and how is that benefiting you?** They solved the how to show risk to a client in a portfolio in an easy way. ### 3. I first started using it back in the beta stage and as it has been tweeked and upgraded over the years it has become to confusing and too expensive. Now I am trapped in a contract and have to pay when I don't even use their software. The old trick was played to trap me into this contract. I guess I live and learned. The merit of the software does not even matter to keep me as a client. Now I am a client that feels and is stuck paying for something that is no use for me. Companies should not trap you into contracts. You should want to stay with them because you like there service. However thus company does not have that philosophy. **What do you dislike about Nitrogen?** Out dated and old way of doing business. This company will have high turnover of customers as it does contracts i. This stage of the world. Where no one does contracts for software . They have earn your business but this company does not have to earn the business after sign a contract. Bad business model. **What problems is Nitrogen solving and how is that benefiting you?** Nothing. ### 4. It's dangerous to have wrong risk/return numbers when advisors use with ie ts **What problems is Nitrogen solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tried to have it solve presentation need but it did NOT ### 5. Fraud **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** DAVID H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2023 **What do you like best about Nitrogen?** I enjoyed having a platform that remained fair priced to build and manage risk in my clients portfolios. **What do you dislike about Nitrogen?** I feel this business has lost its way regarding customer service; they renewed my account at a 45% increase, picked a new plan for me, and changed my request to deal via phone to email. This became known to me when I inquired about the increased charge and was informed that they emailed me four times in March to discuss. I told them that I had recently moved my practice from Florida to Tennessee during that period and was in my blackout period, awaiting my license to transfer. They did not try to reach out in April or May to confirm that I was on board; instead, they just let their changes go through. Now they are not working with me to try to make things right but would instead leave on this fraud contract at the end . **What problems is Nitrogen solving and how is that benefiting you?** Nitrogen is not solving any issues for my firm but instead is costing me additional money for a service that is not needed. ### 6. Must be desperate for cash flow. Poor customer service. **Recommendations to others considering Nitrogen:** Think before you sign contract. Most companies will let you out if unhappy or unsatisfied. These guys will not. If you have a great product/service this contract would not be necessary. They are rude and arrogant. I think they have hired back all the ex-AOL online customer service reps. **What do you dislike about Nitrogen?** Piece of nonsense software run by a piece of s... company. Dont expect anything. You just need to pay the bills which they believe they are entitled lifetime. **Recommendations to others considering Nitrogen:** Seek anything else. There are so many other choices out there **What problems is Nitrogen solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zero benefits but I made Riskalze rich ### 8. Terrible product in my opinion. Graphs are a joke. When i asked about the graphs being used in the report to show clients, they kept telling me to cut and paste from the program and basically make my own report. Then when I cancelled they jerked me around and kept trying to bill me after they said they would not. **What do you dislike about Nitrogen?** The product cannot produce reports with any of the useful graphs. They told me to cut and paste them and make my own report. Then when I tried to cancel, they started jerking me around. They said I had to talk to their customer service people. I had to do an exit interview. They told me I would not be billed again, and then they billed me again. I told them I had cancelled. Now they are saying my cancellation isn't effective until five months after I cancelled (in writing by the way). DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!! **Recommendations to others considering Nitrogen:** Stay far far away. **What problems is Nitrogen solving and how is that benefiting you?** None.
