The team responded promptly to my web inquiry. Within 24 hours, I had a response and an appointment. I was immediately helped via remote maintenance. When a small error was still present, I received an additional 30 minutes of support with remote maintenance for free (!). Now everything is running smoothly. The appointment took place on time. Very friendly service. You almost feel guilty for the free support.

I was also offered to download the new invoice form. I did that, but the data structure didn't fit. A field had to be added to the invoice table and the invoice form had to be adjusted. Since I programmed databases myself 15 years ago, I was able to make the adjustments to the layout myself. After the support ended, I made various changes to the layout, including adjusting the number format, so now I have a completely customized database.

Ninox offers some templates for databases, so many users can acquire a ready-made database for very little money. For example, there are databases for an address book, for appointments, for events, for invoices, for inventory management, for products, for time tracking, for projects, for real estate, for accounting, and for contacts. You can also create a database for your own CRM or an empty database for individual programming. For those who have some programming knowledge, Ninox offers an excellent foundation. The flexibility of the software allowed me to start with a simple database to support my son’s customer focused business, which is Tree Surgery, and to refine it later into a more complex model.

The system now includes his customers, work lists, risk management, invoicing and accounts.

A simple dashboard gives accurate up to date information, vital for work planning and financial management. We use the calendar, with colour coded text for daily work planning and emails linked to buttons for quotes, invoices and receipts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The calendar can get cluttered and the facility to have more than one calendar available would be useful. If individual calendars could be created for example for quotes, work lists and plant maintenance due dates, would add a potentially very live feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have no coding background at all, but nonetheless I started using Ninox a few years ago because they claimed this was a no-code platform. And it was indeed. Soon I started creating my first database for clinical purpose (I am a psychologist and I run a consulting studio in the neurodevelopmental diseases area). To start from scratch yourself really requires some investment in knowing the tool. It's like Excel, I would say, in minutes you can do great things, but if you want to program your own macros and forms that could take some days of learning and experimenting.
