The ability to choose your own table and be able to create almost an infinite number of possibilities. The fact that it is a Cloud system, therefore usable from anywhere. The ease of creating one or more databases is perfect. I am an optician and I have created a file for my eyeglass clients and a client file for contact lenses, and even a loyalty card system. It is really very practical and comprehensive. The email support service is very competent and responds quickly, which is rare in companies nowadays. The first thing I noticed about Ninox is that they put data import and backups (both solution and data) front and center on their opening screen. That was impressive for a cloud solution (I only use their Ninox Cloud option). The second thing I noticed is the way they have made things simple for the developer. Instead of having to setup separate servers for development, staging and production, I can just log right in and start developing - it only takes about 5 seconds. It is truly amazing, and everything is automatically backed up. From then on, things kept getting better. The people who put together this platform made a lot of good decisions along the way. Anyone who has worked with newer development environments knows that documentation is always a challenge. Ninox is no exception. However, there are new detailed videos that do a good job of addressing this issue; along with their excellent online support. I’m still a beginner at using Ninox, but there is tremendous support available BOTH from Ninox and Nioxus.com, a USA partner. The extensive collection of data types let a beginner accomplish a lot without any programming. With the addition of the Ninox scripting language, the user can design a UI that facilitates complete and accurate data entry while avoiding needless confusion. There is not much to dislike about Ninox, but I wish there was more information on its basic design. It is NOT a traditional SQL-based relational database - which has both advantages and disadvantages. From what I seen, using Ninox is easier than using SQL-based queries. However, being a niche database, I noticed that the demand for Ninox developers/programmers in the USA was practically non-existent as of now (late 2019]. This may or may not be relevant depending on whether you can be your own developer/programmer. It bears repeating, great support is available from both Ninox and Nioxus. I like the simplicity. Anything can be amended and I dont have to remember to click save every time I make an update! The Ninox team are so helpful and accommodating as well, nothing is ever to much trouble. I really enjoy being able to change features on the platform - which suits my ever changing buisness needs. The only thing I would say that I dislike (and this is a real reach) is the face that due to the cloud database, when the system refreshes or updates, I have to sign out/re start ninox to carry on working. nothing, i believe that will be much better in the future, with new improvements. The reports, must be more easy to edit. Programming examples, should have more to learn developing ninox. The best part about Ninox is the amount of support available to get you through all the tricky stuff. Appointments are always available.. I have never waited longer than 24 hrs to speak to someone. I also like that the support is done through screen sharing so you can show the person you are speaking to what you want to do and you can then watch how they solve your issues making learning fast and pushing me to become independent with tasks, which makes me feel motivated to push my boundaries further...
