What do you like best?

Support staff is a big plus on a day to day basis. Support is a big issue especially when you are learning a new system. The Nimble 'app' built on Salesforce works great. Occassionally we come across a bug but Nimble is always right on top of it to get the fix out. Another PLUS.

Updates come 3 times a year right after Salesforce's. Nimble makes the updates easy, easier than any other system I've worked with. (But you are alway still beholding to Salesforce.)

I have worked with other AMSs before, the one feature I love is the Express Pay URL. What's so special? When your membership belongs to a company and employees are members by default, your main contact may be the company owner. If you send an electronic renewal invoice the owner, he/she will most likely pass that along to the A/P department - who is NOT going to create an account and log in and may not even be able to see the invoice directed at the owner. With Express Pay URL - you send the link to the owner, he/she forwards the email and ANYONE can pay the invoice online w/out logging in. All they need is an active credit card.

Nimble is always ready to hear how they can improve their product and with each release there is something that either works better or is new. They do not let their product get stale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The person - account setting is fine, works great. But it does present challenges when you try to work with 3rd parties who 'integrate' with Salesforce. The person-account is something they need to understand and handle, which evidently is not common. You cannot 'create contacts' directly from an API, you have to let Salesforce create the person-account, which will automatically create the connected 'contact' object and be properly linked. This is Nimble's problem only because Nimble uses the person-accounts setting of Salesforce.

The basic Nimble license (based on a Salesforce PLATFORM license) does not include several objects that Salesforce itself might include if it were a regular Salesforce license. (Campaigns is one example). You may need to make sure you have the correct licenses for objects you will need.

When we first went live in 2017, Nimble didn't have a lot of hands on training for those who would be administering Nimble and Salesforce. I believe this may have improved since then. I wish they had short 'how-to' videos for super-users/admins. They have great documentation, but I am the "show-me" kind of learner.

Understanding that they are not the Salesforce guru for you & their best expertise is their own product - at the beginning, not being already a Salesforce guru myself, it was painful figuring out what was Salesforce and what was Nimble. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our complex online join needed us to tweak the Community Hub, but is working great. We reduced all physical paper needed to be submitted in order to be considered as a member. We do not let anyone join automatically w/out a human review, but the process is so much better now.

The member web interface is almost out-of the box. It is easy now for our members to buy products, register for events, and edit their own data online.

The annual renewal is done with payments online using the Express URL featurer after the bulk renewals are run - No more mailing of renewal notices and hardly any checks have to be processed.

Easy way to manage committees, new events, and manage the relationships of people to companies and companies to companies in rosters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Highly recommend NimbleAMS! After an in-depth analysis, we chose NimbleAMS because they are a leading Salesforce AppExchange Program Partner.

As an organization, we’ve also been able to work with NimbleAMS to educate our staff on the power of real-time reporting and the visual appeal of dashboards to quickly identify key performance indicators. The effectiveness of an analytics dashboard is tied directly to how easily staff can implement and maintain the Cloud-based reporting.

What do you dislike?

Eagerly await new product releases throughout the year which follow similar Salesforce rollouts. There are typically three seasonal releases each year, and each comes with an in-depth overview prior to the release as well hands-on training offered at their annual conference. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

One of our biggest challenges was system upgrades. Although necessary, upgrades also resulted in breaks in database structures, internal processes, and increased spending just to restore functionality. As a NimbleAMS customer, we receive continuous upgrades and support – at no additional maintenance costs.

Although we transitioned from IMiS to NimbleAMS in 2014, the product’s biggest strength has turned out to be the ease with which we were able to seamlessly transition our association management staff to a distributed workforce model during the COVID-19 pandemic. What do you like best?

Nimble AMS is Cloud-based, flexible, secure and always up to date. We have been using NimbleAMS for over three years and it continues to pay dividends. The staff has detailed membership information on one screen and no longer must drill down endlessly, saving time and increasing productivity. What do you dislike?

We are non-profit but classified as a 501 c6 there are discounts that are not available to us thus the cost is the only issue I have with the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For customers to be truly successful, a software solution needs to be backed by excellent customer service. People who really understand the needs of an Association and are invested in your success. The folks at Community Brands feel as if they are on your team and are great partners to collaborate with. They have infused excellent customer service into their culture. They are not a ‘product’ company but a customer success company.

What do you like best?

My two favorite things about Nimble are 1) the ability for staff (non-developers) to customize our database with minimal help, and 2) the reporting - it is very powerful. Since Nimble is built on top of Salesforce, the sky is really the limit as far as what you can do with it. Taking advantage of Salesforce resources like Trailhead means that you can learn how to customize your system extensively. Nimble has grown very quickly, and the people we are in contact with - while fantastic - are overextended. This has resulted in our projects being repeatedly delayed, requests going unanswered until they are made several times, and frustration on our side. What do you like best?

Nimble AMS is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. We launched a couple of months ago and we are continually discovering how powerful Nimble is. The online training resources are great and I highly recommend administrators dig into the courses available on Trailhead.

We have had one of their trainers come in and conduct in-person training which was helpful in getting all of the staff to buy-in to the new system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There are some limitations that we have run into in regards to reporting and events but we have been able to find workarounds for the time being. Ask a lot of questions. Make sure that your key processes will be supported by Nimble. Clean data is key when implementing Nimble. When you go live, I highly recommend having a Nimble AMS staff member live in your office. We had someone in-house for two days and he helped us troubleshoot. So much! We have streamlined the way we invoice members, administer credits for events, among many other things. We have found countless efficiencies and I'm sure we will discover more in the months to come.

The dashboard functionality alone will revolutionize how we view and share data within our organization. There are also many free tools in the Salesforce AppExchange that we hope to implement. The possibilities are seemingly endless!

What do you like best?

Nimble AMS is very user friendly and easy for those staff members who were not active in our previous system to use the system.

The support provided by Nimble Land is very much appreciated. They reply in a reasonable amount of time and provide step by step instructions that allow me to correct the issue, where applicable.

What do you like best?

Having Nimble AMS built on top of the power of Salesforce means it stays on pace with the newest technology advances. I've also really enjoyed going through Salesforce Trailhead training to get up to speed on how to use our new system. Additionally, the ease of configuration (without always needing a developer or to write code) makes it possible to finally say "yes" much more often to my coworkers when they ask for changes.Then finally, the API and integration capabilities make it much easier to connect our system to third party tools. What do you dislike?

There's some limitations to the reporting tool in that you can't directly join sibling objects (i.e. objects that share the same parent object) together. I've found work arounds that work fine, but it was a bit of a shock when I went to write one of my first reports (individuals connected to orgs who were sponsoring our conference) and found that it was impossible without a workaround. What do you like best?

What do you like best?

As Nimble AMS is built on Salesforce, it doesn't take a technical expert to complete some base configuration, though I do recommend strong technical skills for anyone in an admin role. The out of the box system can meet a lot of business needs, but the system is also flexible enough to meet any customized requirements. The reporting capabilities are great and the support team is very helpful.

What do you like best?

While the product itself is great, the support and assistance I get from the staff at NimbleAMS is the biggest plus. They never try to upsell me, they see themselves as partners with us in solving problems. I trust their recommendations implicitly, and never feel like they see me as just a client and means of revenue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Compared to my experience with previous AMS systems, there is very little to dislike about NimbleAMS. Obsessionally, we've had some support cases drag on, but that's as much our fault as it is theirs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

NimbleAMS has allowed us to better serve our members in a wide variety of ways. Additionally, our previous AMS allowed everyone to self select their member type, which led to people selecting the least expensive option, instead of the proper one. Switching to NimbleAMS allowed us to ensure members joined as the right type, increasing our revenue.
