"Remove data in a breeze"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Nightfall AI?

Setting up Nightfall was simple, fast, and straightforward. It didn't take very much to have it up and running and took little lift on our end; but does require making sure there is an administrator and service account for each platform you are connecting to are available.

It's easy to use and straightforward, integrates with Slack, so I am notified about new alerts and violations when there is data sitting around; but most importantly I am aware the data exists and where to find it.

We found interest in its ability to detect API Keys but have not delved further into it yet.

So far, we have it connected to a few systems and it's been working well. I haven't been using the system long enough to tell you our ROI.

From a security standpoint, the team has been very responsive and forthcoming with policies, and information so I can conduct a security review. Their SOC 2 was made available upon singing a NDA. I reviewed the documentaiton and still have more questions so they are taking the additional questions and having those answered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nightfall AI?

Nightfall is still a relatively newer product, so the team is still building out additional integration and features.

We currently have it integrated with a few systems and look forward to seeing more. We hope to see an integration with Asana. I wonder if it would be able to check Gmail? I don't have insight on the pricing model so I cannot comment on that.

One feature I pointed out to the team that I think is unnecesary is having to press on the "Expand all" function on each violation; all the information should just be available and appear without having to click.

Another downside is not being able to assign a user to a violation and not being able to write a note for a whole violation.

Another piece of feedback is being able to take action on a violation in Slack, so a user doesn't have to go into the dashboard.

It's a downside there is another dashboard to check, but perhaps the developer tools can be used to bring in centralized logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive DLP Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Nightfall AI?

I really like how the violations are managed. Nightfall makes it easy to redact items that violate your company's policys around protecting PII, PCI, Secrets and creditentials. I use the tool daily so the dashboard, and violations help support my information security needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nightfall AI?

I wish that when items in Confluence show up as a violation, that Nightfall provided a link to that Confluence page. Same as when a link to a Jira ticket that has been detected as a violation, there's a link to the Jira ticket from the violtation profile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pain free DLP compliance with NightFall"
5/5
What do you like best about Nightfall AI?

Nightfall has been an excellent addition to our company's tech stack. The installation and onboarding process were a breeze, and we were impressed with how quickly we were up and running. Nightfall integrates seamlessly with all of our native cloud tools, including AWS, GCP, and Slack, which has made our work more efficient and secure.

What has really stood out to me is the software's effectiveness. I accidentally triggered an alert myself and immediately saw how the software works to prevent data loss. It's not just box-ticking compliance - it really works! Our team has limited resources, but we were able to get up and running with only one person's time, which is impressive.

Overall, I highly recommend Nightfall to any business looking for effortless compliance without the need for a lot of effort. The software is easy to use, effective, and integrates with all of our cloud tools. For sure we made the right call going with nightfall Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nightfall AI?

As the market leader, we found Nightfall a little on the spendy side compared to some other solutions, however, when you consider the effort we've saved having such a seamless tool, the ROI is clearly higher than competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nightfall: Overall a strong and useful tool for protecting sensitive data"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Nightfall AI?

It use some impressive machine learning algorithms to scan and classify sensitive data across a range of cloud services and on-premises systems, but it also offers some really cool integrations.

For instance, Nightfall can be easily integrated with Slack, which means you can receive real-time notifications about potential security risks and take action right away. And if you're a Google Workspace user, Nightfall integrates seamlessly with that as well, so you can easily scan and classify sensitive data across your entire organization. The integration with Slack has been critical for our use case, as it's allowed to catch a number of pieces of sensitive data and manage them before they even reach a user.

But it's not just the integrations that make Nightfall stand out. The user-friendly interface and customizable workflows mean you can tailor the platform to fit your specific needs. And with real-time alerts and automatic remediation actions, you can trust that your sensitive data is well-protected from breaches. In short, it's a very strong platform overall. What do you dislike about Nightfall AI?

Nightfall is primarily designed to protect specific types of data, such as financial transactions OR PHI/PII, and may not be suitable for other use cases. This means that you may need to use additional privacy tools or workarounds to protect other types of sensitive information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Cloud-friendly option around"
5/5
What do you like best about Nightfall AI?

Nightfall is easy to implement and is very friendly to cloud-based companies. We leverage them for 4 different products (Slack, Jira, Confuence, and Zendesk (in early beta currently)) and have found their service intuitive, fairly accurate, and I love their easy response to alerts in Slack. They also export logging to a SIEM very easily and their team is engaged, quick to respond, and the product is developing rapidly. When they say they're building something, they mean it's coming soon and it's really appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nightfall AI?

My problems with Nightfall aren't really with the company itself, but more the limitations of technology. You can't "auto-redact" in a PDF, image, or attachment, which means the auto-redact rule will simply not work for those types of findings. I've given them the feedback of following different alerts for different finding types, which they've responded well too -- so there's yet another plus for them! "Dedicated Data Discovery > Home Grown Heuristics"
5/5
What do you like best about Nightfall AI?

Nightfall allows teams to identify and respond to the potential exposure of sensitive data within internal communications platforms, customer service platforms, and code repositories. Integration into our platforms, such as GitHub and Slack, was straightforward and completed within minutes; once integrated, Nightfall immediately started to protect our coding and communications platforms.

Alerting is timely with a Slack integration allowing for constant monitoring in a dedicated channel without navigating to the Nightfall UI. Jira integration is excellent, so we can utilize our current ticketing system instead of managing alerts in 2 separate locations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nightfall AI?

Bulk actions are not possible in the UI, at times this would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nightfall AI?

One aspect that could be improved is the user interface, although functional and intuitive, some users might find it slightly compex to navigate initially, however, with a bit of getting used to, this minor drawback becomes negligible given the powerful capabilities of the platform. "Excellent cloud-native data loss protection service"
5/5
What do you like best about Nightfall AI?

Cloud-native with Slack-based workflows that fully engage our workforce in real-time. This real-time approach helps us achieve quick visibility and remediation of detected violations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nightfall AI?

I don't really dislike anything about this very good product. However, it really needs a Bitbucket (Git) integration to cover all our core use cases. I believe this is on their short-term roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
