Having previously used Microsoft Teams, I'm used to going to view a file and then 'launch in browser'. Nifty doesn't do that currently and so if you're in a file and then get a message, you can't view the message without leaving the file. Setup is quick though, so you can always try it out and wait to implement until there are more features. Easy to browse and helps users focus on just the things matters to the user. So you don't need to browse around to see things or to fill forms. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** The worse problem was milestone date limits the task dates. So if you tried to reschedule a task in a milestone that could not be completed in time, you'd be prompt with an error about the milestone date range. Then you would need to browse away to change the milestone date first before returning to the task. This issue now has been solved. The two things left that still bother me: 1. I hope there is a way to separate members of project teams so the members don't see each other. (what if I have a secret team member I don't want others to even know?) 2. Full CNAME support. Right now Nifty only offers a customized hostname under Nifty's own domain name. **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** Both work and personal projects. I actually still use that to track overall projects. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** 1. Cannot organize my tasks every day. I manage 4 different projects and need to work a little on each one. If I go to my tasks, I can't organize the more important task for the day. What I used was Asana and I would drag the most important task to a Section called TODAY, then drag my current task above that and I can't continue until I finish that task. Without that ability, I'm scrolling around. It's too unorganized for me. 2. With my tasks, it organizes it by date. I have something that is due in 2 weeks, but I need to work on it today. So I would reschedule it for every day and title the task with the actual due date. 3. It takes 3-4 clicks to assign a person / date when competitors only take 1-2 clicks. When I'm managing 5 people with 4 projects and a lot of tasks, that doubled my time to organize everyone. 4. If you accidentally mark off the wrong task as complete, there is no quick undo button. It required searching and scrolling through many tasks. This was actually the last straw that made us switch back to Asana. **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were trying to manage website projects and allow our clients in the project. I really like how easy it is to use it and to communicate with the team adding updates inside the task or in a project level. The possibility to add Documents to a project is a +. Also, add external guest to the project is a neat solution, so we can keep our customers and contractors in the same loop. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** I would like to see some improvements on the serer side as far as speed of some loading pages inside the app. **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** I tried other tools before but I had some hoard time to make my team to get use to the tools. All my teams are now more productive after we decided to implement Nifty for mos of our teams. No more messy email threads, lost documents, or breakdowns in communication. Nifty keeps all my conversations and project material in one place, which means I save a huge amount of time that would otherwise be wasted scanning long back-and-forward email threads, uploading and attaching documents to emails via DropBox, and liaising with clients about project phases and updates. It's changed the way I run my business - and my clients love it, because they can see at a glance how their project is progressing day by day. Frequent updates - The Nifty team is pushing out constant updates since I've used it, with a clear roadmap. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** No clear dislike for me. I see the team constantly pushing updates. For example, I had recurring tasks that were not setting a due date in the future - but that now has been updated & corrected. **Recommendations to others considering Nifty:** They have great documentation and videos on how to use Nifty. They are quick videos and are in my opinion, a must in order to get comfortable and started with it the fastest. **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** Project & Task management that isn't bloated or convoluted. I've tried a ton of project management software - they are either extremely complicated and actually reduce your productivity, or extremely simple, and do not let you achieve the granular control you really want on a project. I love the way its all laid out, the milestones, Google doc integration, time tracking per task, comments and discussions on each milestone, its all perfectly laid out for my work which is digital marketing and design so I work on everything from paid ad creation to video production. And this is flexible enough to handle it all. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** I honestly can't think of anything I dislike. This is an excellent platform. **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time tracking, keeping everything in one place with Google Doc and the way milestones are laid out, and so much more. The two I just listed really changed the way I work. Because I have some jobs where I keep track of my time and some that I dont I love that I can just select the time start button if I want to but its not needed. Also how Google docs is integrated sometimes I have to write out longer copy for websites or something like that and this allows me to do it right within the project but share it so seamlessly. ### 25. The features are what I need for running my agency without the bloat of things I don't use, and getting in the way. The UI is fast and responsive. Nifty recently added deeper functionality with connections into other apps. I really like that. I would have to say my favorite part is pretty simple: being able to edit google docs right inside the Nifty app. It keeps things organized and speedy. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** I would like the time tracking to be more easily toggled on/off without having to go too deep into the app. But that's just me. **Recommendations to others considering Nifty:** It's really the right tool for an agency looking to scale. It's neat, organized, well thought out. It's the best UI/UX I've ever seen. Using the tool is super intuitive, and then you find there are even more powerful functions just underneath the surface. Makes it both approachable, easily adoptable, while at the same time being able to scale to meet the new challenges/complexities of your business as it grows. This is the absolute best tool you have never used. Yes it's the best project management tool, but in terms of app design, feature set, quality, interface, customer support and beyond, Nifty is also the best SAAS tool that exists in any niche. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** There is literally nothing I dislike. I found one problem, where I was unable to paste content with bullet points into a Nifty Doc. I reported it, and they already had it as an upcoming fix for their next update. Less than 48 hours later it was fixed. Not only was it fixed, but their support team followed up with me to let me know. I also enjoy the distinction between a team and guest - a team license is for your project management team and project administrators; everyone else can leverage the free guest license. Calculating licenses every time a new project is required adds an additional overhead and can possibly become a roadblock. You also have a workload timeline for checking if you have empty people or someone is overloaded. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** Even if it's really solid, nothing is perfect, so here some points that would help to improve it: - Zoom integration is cool, but there are better options out there. Webhooks for integrating it with Integromat and our desired service would be the best. - Adding a "help" icon/button in each task/subtask would be fantastic. We could link that button to our own documentation. That documentation would explain the process of how to accomplish that task. That's especially useful for letting new employees how to accomplish something without needed to micromanaging them and also for not so usual tasks where forgetting details is easy. - Emojis are cool, but please add gifs to the chat. - Need an easier way to go back to the projects tab from settings. I haven't found the way of doing it, so I need to go to my main URL into the browser tab. Maybe I'm missing something, but if it's that way it's annoying. - Add task groups and task templates, not only project templates.
