You can import directly from platforms like trello and asana and use them in Nifty. You can also switch views to what is most efficient for your project. The ability to create secondary tasks, have milestones, just the way the whole thing is set up. I can't say enough about it. You can also easily switch organizations within it without having to log in and out which makes life so much easier! **What do you dislike about Nifty?** It is still a newer platform so there is the occasional glitch, the biggest one I've experienced is having to reconnect zoom multiple times. (Yes, it integrates with zoom and you can directly go into a meeting with someone you're in a chat with!) **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has created a whole new level of clarity with project management in terms of streamlining. I LOVE the milestones and ability to put multiple working parts into each milestone with different deadlines, different people assigned to, the ability to use the Nifty docs, etc. It's also helping to see exactly where time is being spent with the time tracking feature. ### 3. The discussions on project, milestone, task and item level allow us to really target our questions and replies. Nifty is keeping us connected not only as a team, but with our collaborators around the world. Also, their team is incredibly responsible to feedback. We do everything in nifty, from assigning tasks to employees and freelancers with work with around the world, to planning and producing content for our blog, podcasts, web shows, and social media. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** Nifty is still young. There are a lot of small details that they are working on. Better recurring tasks, better project/task templates and more. I'd love to see them moving a bit faster with development in these areas. **Recommendations to others considering Nifty:** I can only say, "check it out." It may fit your needs, it may not, with the things still yet to be developed. . It's very easy to find what you're looking for. Our most used modules or (tabs) are the "Discussion" and the "Tasks". They're literally one click away once you access Nifty. Besides the great UI/UX that Nifty offers, I like how fluent is the communication with a client. You can invite your collaborators as guests to any projects, where they can join the discussions, complete or create tasks, but they have limited privileges, so the project management is all yours, no one can do any damage. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** Nifty is still in its early days, you might find some bugs here and there, but the team is always very fast to respond when you report something or if you send a feature request. Regarding its interface, there's nothing to dislike. I think Nifty is headed in the right direction, it just needs a bit of time to mature, but in the meantime, it's perfectly functional and does what it says, making project management easy. Also, it would be nice if it would integrate better with invoicing tools. **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** We collaborate with our web design clients using Nifty. We can eliminate long chain-mails or the problem of file sending. It's also super easy to track your projects' status with Nifty, so your clients will always know what they can expect. Great project management full of features that can be turned off if not required. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Fredy P. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2020 **What do you like best about Nifty?** I've tried different project management software and found nifty to have all the features we need within a good entry price. - I like the workload feature that allow us to quickly distribute our work, we are a small team so it is important for us to be as efficient as possible. - Milestones are also good to glimpse the state of each stage of our workflow. - The portfolios are also great to organize our projects separated per client or department while keeping all pendings within reach. - The idea to centralize all our workflow within nifty is what made us make the switch, we certainly still need other software to complement our process, but we are working into integrating as much as we can within Nifty **What do you dislike about Nifty?** - Eve thought it currently has good integrations (zapier) would be great to be integrated with integromat as well to allow us a better workflow. - There's no option to personalize the project emails (an email used to add information into it) as currently generates automated address that make it a bit difficult to remember which address belongs to each project. - Would be great if we could integrate it within our conversations through email with our clients, like a CC that registers what was said without the need to clear the subject in order for nifty to understand it is part of a discussion. **Recommendations to others considering Nifty:** Give it a try if you are looking for a good project management with a good entry price (per tier, instead of per user) but consider that there's no "free forever" version of it just a 1 week trial at least for now. **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are in the process to replace multiple tools we are using to organize our workflow with Nifty, we still need a lot to do but so far so good. You can assign a column to a person! The moment you do this, every new task on that column will be assigned to that person. This feature itself won my heart.💘 I can also see all the tasks everywhere and all the dependencies that I am waiting. There’s also a calendar view, and I can connect my Google calendar to it. Besides all those amazing features, there is one more I never see anywhere. While on chat with your client, if for some reason you can’t come clear on what to say and want to hop on a call pretty fast, just to clarify something, well… you can zoom your client right there!! 🤯🤯 **What do you dislike about Nifty?** Nifty docs. You can add your google drive right there, but if you decide to use nifty docs, you go for trouble. It's buggy and I can't understand why. So I don't use it at all. It reminds me very much of ClickUp. It is fast to navigate, easy to communicate, and even has more features that Clickup and Asana, however it is missing some slight UI fine-tuning that would really give the review a 10/10 **What do you dislike about Nifty?** There are quite a few things that aren't the best with this from a UI standpoint. If the team is reviewing this, they can consider this a "feature request", and if anyone else is viewing this review, it will help them understand what they are getting into. - Brand colors can be a bit nicer and more aesthetically appealing - Better search is needed so the search actually searches through comments, descriptions, and any other item related to the task. Currently the search just searches the Task Titles - Maybe better sorting or folder organizational items - Ability to add more custom fields (like Teammate). Currently the custom fields are kind of limited. - Whiteboard, webcalls, or markup features Also, a desktop/web app would be nice **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a very good project management software, and it is pretty streamlined and responsive. The different project views are stellar. The app, organization and workflow is well-conceived and perhaps the best I've seen. They do communicate well during outages--something that other app firms do not. I bought a lifetime license to Nifty a while back when it was offered on Appsumo. Pricing for small teams is quite reasonable. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** The calendar views can become cluttered if you have a lot of tasks. Sometimes the mobile apps can "hiccup". They can also be a little slow to respond to support requests on occasion. **Recommendations to others considering Nifty:** Again: Nifty could be a really good tool. Though I bought an Appsumo lifetime license, their everyday licensing is more than reasonable when doing a feature-for-feature comparison. Sometimes the team can be a little less than responsive, but it may be because they are small and burdened. After trying most of the big players out there I stumbled on NiftyPM. At first, I was overwhelmed with the interface on how complex-looking it is. But with a little getting used to, I began to see how easy it is to set up and maneuver some tasks in the proper category. I love how it offers different views that better highlight the tasks needed. We were drowning in 'email hell' trying to track which client needed what and by what date they needed it, etc. Nifty has clarified workflow and made it easier to track all of the small details of ongoing projects. ### 41. Online essential activities of projects can be effectively delivered, monitored, and control in Nifty. Nifty's progress bar is fantastic. The project members would be able to communicate instantly. The UX and UI designs of the platform are incredibly amazing. When any users faced any difficulties, the Nifty team always offered the communication channel for us so as to reach Nifty staff for any quick help. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** Nifty has done an excellent job in developing the software tools. Not much thing to complaint here. What I dislike is that there is not online tutorials or documentations (even no user manual). With the manual, it helped the efficiency of the delivering the projects. I have to spend time and effort to learn how the Nifty works. I have a group of undergraduates and postgraduates who would like to try Nifty. Any training materials, or video samples (not the youtube), can be sold or gave to the Nifty Fan like myself. Anyway, offering the tools or add-on for reporting functions will be great. **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** I turned on MFA for accessing Nifty account. I used Google Authenticator as the MFA app. When I changed the iPhone from iPhone 12 to iPhone 13 ProMax, the data was transferred from iPhone 12 to iPhone 13 ProMax successfully. Unfortunately, the data in the Google Authenticator, which includes the NiftyPM credential, cannot be recovered. Therefore, I ask Nifty for help. Your Nifty staff immediately caught my problems and report to engineers to see if the MFA can be reset. Well, although the waiting time is long, the problem finally got solved happily. ### 46. I do like ClickUp but it's a bit complicated (maybe I am just a little slow, lol). Trello was the first PM tool I used in my online career, so there would always be some love for it. But I just don't like the workflow especially after using ClickUp. Nifty I feel like takes the best from both Trello and ClickUp and implements into Nifty. This blows Trello out of the water by a LONG shot. I am in love with the UI and the ease of use. It makes me feel like I am right at home :) Nifty offers a lot of flexibility and the best of it all is that they are always improving the platform, which is awesome to see. I DO NOT, want to constantly change PM tools. If you'd done it before, you know exactly what I mean. I truly feel that I found the perfect PM tool for my needs and I highly recommend it to anyone that is on the fence. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** The only issue I currently have is that it acts up from time to time. It gives permission errors when I in fact have the proper permissions. It is also a little slower than I'd like it to be. FIxing the speed would make this tool phenomenal, which I am sure we will get there sooner rather than later! **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating templates for repetitive tasks for our team is a breeze with Nifty. It has helped us be more productive and has helped us meet project deadlines more effectively.
