It helps me visually see where I need to pause and work on overdue work vs constantly filling my queue. It was very Asana-esque. Really loving the time feature so I can see how much time I've spent. I like that you can "save" some items in the top by minimizing it - makes them easier to find. Would be better if we could pin them, though. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** There doesn't seem to be a way to link tasks easily. While it is similar to Asana, there were some major differences - like being unable to have a task on multiple boards/projects. It's not easy to tell what is still being timed - it's a very small thing in the bottom left corner and more than once I've forgotten to stop a timer so it went on for days. I feel like the UI could be a bit improved as well. It was so like Asana, but then as I started using it some things were more difficult to navigate. Overall nothing that stops me from using the product. There does not seem to be a way to contact support. At least once I felt like there was a bug but had no way of reporting it (that I could find). **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm trying to be more organized without feeling like I'm drowning. We especially like the project milestones feature. The pace of new feature development is also encouraging (they listen to user feedback in the FB group!). The different project views are stellar. The app, organization and workflow is well-conceived and perhaps the best I've seen. They do communicate well during outages--something that other app firms do not. I bought a lifetime license to Nifty a while back when it was offered on Appsumo. Pricing for small teams is quite reasonable. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** The calendar views can become cluttered if you have a lot of tasks. Sometimes the mobile apps can "hiccup". They can also be a little slow to respond to support requests on occasion. **Recommendations to others considering Nifty:** Again: Nifty could be a really good tool. Though I bought an Appsumo lifetime license, their everyday licensing is more than reasonable when doing a feature-for-feature comparison. Sometimes the team can be a little less than responsive, but it may be because they are small and burdened. Right now would not be a good time to bank your business on this product, but if they can get past the reliability issues, it could be a great alternative to some of the big names. **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Nifty to organize my courses and manage other personal research projects--though I plan to use it for small team collaboration. You can keep track of entire projects in different views for the best fit you need. It is not terribly slow but it can sometimes take a few seconds to load. This can add up to several minutes in a day if you live in the tool. We use it heavily in Enterprise deployments to keep the project on track and interactively work on deliverables and deadlines. It is especially beneficial when we work across timezones. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** Nifty is definitely a smaller company so there are some pains in their UI. They are still figuring out how to pack so many features into a tightly packed dashboard and some common shortcuts, etc. do not exist. It really allows you to make your workflow however you choose. Because there are so many options hopping into nifty for the first time can feel a little overwhelming and you can sometimes overcomplicate your workflow but once you dial in what you need and don't need to use it makes the process very easy. It gives me many more options I didn't have before in asana. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** One thing I wish this had was a dashboard for analytics. I would like to be able to see the hours tracked and filter it by person, project, and milestone. This would really give me an easy way to bill clients and see how our employees are handling their workloads by project. I also would appreciate a little more fleshed out windows app that doesn't feel exactly like a browser but that's not that big of a deal. **Recommendations to others considering Nifty:** Spend the time to learn all the features and uses for Nifty and be careful not to overcomplicate how you use it. only use the features that are important to your work **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping track of all tasks that need to get done and putting them into milestones has really kept everything on pace and kept the team on track. It solves needs of 2 or 3 tools that we used I install the movil app and it helps you to see how the team goes :) **What do you dislike about Nifty?** Sometimes the recurrent tasks dosent go so well, they seem to get stuck. You can add multiple portfolios. We can upload files, create docs (that we started building an SOP/Checklist library), Plan out a project with Milestones on a timeline, easily *adjust* those milestone deadlines ;-) And keep conversations tight, having relevant comments on a single card (task) as well as tagging and setting due dates. It's very comprehensive. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** Sometimes software can feel a little bloated. Like Microsoft Office, how over the years, MS just kept trying to add all these bells and whistles only to make the experience more confusing. So that being said, Nifty aims to be very comprehensive however, there can be a bit of a learning curve. I wish the notes (that I can write on a given task card) were more flexible (like Trello, using various characters like # to create bold headers, etc.)… I wish that I could paste a list into a checklist -- and Nifty would automatically divvy out my list items into their own separate items to be checked off (like Trello) And I wish the Docs were more flexible. I could TOTALLY see using these as an SOP library but what keeps us from completely adopting that is the fact that they auto-order themselves (the Docs) according to the last one edited. It'd be really cool to be able to embed *within* a Doc too. THAT WAY, my small team could COMPLETELY set up an SOP system *for* particular clients we have. -- because that's reality: you have clients and there's just no way around it: they have their own special unique way of achieving something that needs to be repeatable and easily passed down to future team members. **Recommendations to others considering Nifty:** I still feel like there's much more to Nifty than I'm even getting to within this review. I'd love to get savvy with tackling the Milestones feature. I'm not one to be especially good at completing things *unless* there are deadlines and someone counting on me. So I can envision Nifty working to help that -- where I add a collaborator (a client) and layout the Milestones (deadlines). The team also has been responsive and open to my hurdles and constructive criticism **What problems is Nifty solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems we're solving: We're getting tasks centralized and keeping tabs on them easier. Since my assistant can comment me in on the particular task, … and can even comment/mention me at various levels of the organization (task level, overall team communication level, project comment level, etc), I feel good knowing that we're not littering another channel (like Telegram, Slack or the email inbox) with little comments that just make a thread bloated and difficult to search through. ### 29. We were able to purchase it through the Appsumo deal, and once we saw how it was working we upgraded quickly from one code to all five. We are actually going to be helping a client of ours who sub-contracts work to us to organize their business. **What do you dislike about Nifty?** It has areas where it needs to catch up with other project management systems. But it's getting better - slack integration added recently. One thing we wanted is the ability for tasks to automatically reoccur, when I last spoke with their team it was in the works but not necessarily something that's right round the corner. As the CEO I've stepped away from the day to day with the system, but its great for me to be able to look at the business and see what tasks are outstanding still. This becomes helpful when sometimes you are you forget to add these when adding tasks. I have my children use it for school to help they stay focused. One of the thing I really enjoy also is the fact that it is very easy to use. I've used other similar products but they were not as user friendly as nifty. Nifty works great, give you awesome notification and reminds you of your tasks. The support is terrific, they get back to you really quickly. When I have an issue or if I'm stuck or just trying to do something, I always contact support and each and every time, they've always help me. For me, you can have a great product but if you don't have great support to back it out, customers/clients will not be happy because when they need assistance, they can't get the help they need.
