"Effortless ACH Payments Without Hassle or Fees"
5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

No need to have customers verify their bank accounts or use microdeposits like on Stripe. My customers hated that about stripe. And Nickle is free for ACH.

very easy to implement, and change the branding so it shows my company name instead of my personal name on their bank statements for clients.

incredible easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cost-Saving and Efficient Payment Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

I love using Nickel because it allows me to process ACH bank transfers without any charges, which is a huge savings compared to my previous solution, Quickbooks Self-employed, where the fees were taking a percentage from my earnings. I appreciate that Nickel automatically adds a 3% processing fee for credit card payments. This has vastly simplified my invoicing process by eliminating the need for manual adjustments and saving me time and effort. The intuitive and straightforward interface keeps things simple and avoids confusion, which is another aspect I greatly value. I also admire the ease with which I can keep track of all past transactions and include my branding in the invoices, maintaining a professional appearance for my business. The setup was remarkably straightforward and quick, allowing me to be up and running in less than 30 minutes. Moreover, the service's value is enhanced by the lack of any subscription requirement and the continued offering of free ACH bank transfers, making it a financially viable solution for my business. The pass-through of credit card processing fees to clients offers transparency and provides them with options, which has improved client interactions by reducing unnecessary payment discussions. Nickel's ability to handle business-to-customer ACH payments without cost is particularly beneficial, as it aligns perfectly with my business model and helps me maintain profitability. What do you dislike about Nickel?

Oh, it could really use an iOS app. Currently, I use a web app instead for my iPhone. It doesn't display well on my phone. So I have to mostly use it on my laptop. That's my biggest complaint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Payment Processing with Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

I find Nickel particularly remarkable for its ease of setup. It's the simplest setup I've ever experienced with any payment processor—no extensive paperwork, interviews, or credit checks involved. I just selected a few preferences, added our bank account information, and uploaded a logo, which speaks to its user-friendliness. Nickel stands out for its financial policies too, with no fees for ACH payments—a significant benefit for our business. Moreover, the ability to pass credit card fees directly to customers without unnecessary hurdles is incredibly beneficial. I enjoy the flexibility Nickel offers, such as sending invoices or providing a payment portal link to customers. The customization of credit card fee rates is another valuable feature, allowing us to split costs with customers if desired. Notifications for payments and deposits keep me informed, streamlining our financial processes. The customer support is stellar; responses are prompt and helpful, with a chat feature that avoids hours of holding on the phone. The clean UI makes the platform easy to navigate, enhancing overall satisfaction with its usability and support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nickel?

I find the turnaround time between customer payment and when the money actually hits our account could be better. It's a bit longer than usual, which can be inconvenient. I'd also like the ability to move payments from one invoice to another, a feature we've wanted several times. Additionally, we've encountered an issue where a payment was reversed quite a while after it was initiated by the customer due to account name and number not matching, which could have created problems if the customer hadn't been proactive in resolving it. Finally, noting a partial payment from a source other than Nickel would be a helpful feature that's currently missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cost-Effective Invoicing with Easy Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

I have been using Nickel since June primarily for invoicing my interior design clients, and I found it through a Google search when I was looking for a more cost-effective solution after QuickBooks pricing almost doubled per transaction. Setting up Nickel was straightforward; the process involved answering questions that were easy to find, such as bank account information, and nothing was too technical or difficult. Although it took a couple of tries to figure out email notifications for payments, I was able to resolve it quickly. One of the biggest benefits of using Nickel is that it eliminates the need for paying numerous transaction fees that I faced with QuickBooks. With Nickel, I saved about $1300 a year since it offers the same services without any charges. Additionally, I find sending out ACH requests through Nickel particularly useful, as it matches nearly all the functionalities I used to get from QuickBooks. While Nickel is free and easy to use, allowing money to go straight to the bank efficiently, the cost advantage is the main reason I chose to use it. The platform is simple, efficient, and incredibly advantageous in terms of cost savings, earning it a recommendation rating of 10 out of 10 from me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nickel?

Sometimes I find it hard to locate an invoice I am looking for. I think it is user error though and I need to figure out a better way to label my invoices so that I can tell which one is for who besides just looking at amounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nickel?

I appreciate Nickel's quality invoicing system that is easy for my customers to use. I like its intuitive interface, which I found easy to learn, resulting in minimal calls from clients having issues. I also value the ability to disable credit card payments, as I only take ACH payments. Additionally, the option to disable partial payments is crucial for my setup. "Efficiency at Zero Cost for Nonprofits"
5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

I absolutely appreciate the way Nickel allows me to pay my employees at no extra cost, which is a huge benefit for our small nonprofit that cannot afford expensive ACH services. The setup process was very easy and intuitive, making it simple to get started quickly. I find the bill payment feature incredibly useful as it significantly reduces the time it takes to process payments. What used to take an hour can now be done in less than 10 minutes, and it also saves me the $3 per payment that I used to spend with my bank's external transfer feature. The ease of use and functionality of Nickel are exceptional and make it a reliable tool for handling employee payroll. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with Nickel and would not change anything about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
