"Nickel: User-friendly, Free, and Construction-Specific"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

I truly appreciate that Nickel provides a fee-free service, which is particularly advantageous for handling finances without incurring extra costs. Its specificity to the construction industry enhances its relevance and utility, making it an ideal choice for my accounting firm serving construction clients. The platform simplifies invoicing and payments, allowing me to effortlessly create invoices and receive payments even in the absence of financial software like QuickBooks. I love its integration with QuickBooks, as it enables seamless synchronization, ensuring invoices show up almost immediately in the system. The use of Nickel payment links instead of QuickBooks payment links eliminates additional fees, providing a cost-effective solution. Automatic payment reminders sent through Nickel are incredibly beneficial, ensuring timely customer payments. Additionally, managing subcontractor and vendor payments has been vastly simplified. Nickel's intuitive and user-friendly interface makes it easy for clients and other users to execute transactions smoothly. Furthermore, the swift population of bills from QuickBooks into Nickel highlights its efficacy and time-saving attributes, ensuring tasks are conducted efficiently. What do you dislike about Nickel?

I find it annoying that you can't have multiple logins to Nickel if you have multiple businesses on Nickel, which complicates managing multiple clients at my accounting firm. The work around I've been given is to use our email "+" some identifier and then our domain name ie: jane+company1@domain.com. It's worked in the sense that it allows someone access to multiple businesses on Nickel but it's really annoying. I'm also frustrated by the inability to control what other users I add to my Nickel profile can see. If I add employees to my firm's Nickel account that is the admin for all our client's Nickel accounts, they have access to all my firms' internal invoices and bills, not just those related to specific clients. That means anyone can see your internal invoices and bills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient, Cost-Effective Payroll with Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

I love Nickel's simplicity, making it incredibly easy to log in and manage employee payments efficiently. Its low-cost operations save me money compared to traditional banking. The two-factor authentication secures my transactions and the helpful support team enhances my experience. I also appreciate the ease of adding new employees without any limits, streamlining my payroll process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nickel?

I find the lack of a mobile app problematic as it restricts my ability to conveniently access and manage payroll on my phone. This limitation can be quite inconvenient for managing tasks on the go. Additionally, there are security-related concerns that need addressing, which might be why the mobile app is not yet available. I would also appreciate the ability to add multiple accounts, as this would enhance flexibility, allowing me to pay employees from different accounts depending on the needs of the business. What do you like best about Nickel?

The think we like most about Nickel is how well it works with QBO. The support is great and has assisted us with any issues that have come up. We tried many other payment processors and Nickel has been the easiest to use and offered fantastic pricing. We've been very happy since switching over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Boosts Cash Flow Efficiency Effortlessly"
5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

I like how Nickel improves our company's cash flow efficiency and reduces the administrative burden. The payments are faster, and visibility is improved, making the overall customer experience smoother. Setting up Nickel was very easy and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nickel?

I find the templated follow-ups to customers not very effective. They seem to just default to the invoice number, and I would prefer to have a standard message attached to each follow-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple and efficient way to get paid via ACH invoice"
5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

I have been using Nickel to send invoices for our services and it has been very easy to use. Customers pay their invoices easily without help from us. It's one of the few aspects of our transactions that never seems to require any intervention on our end for the user to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nickel?

It's not 100% free but nothing good in this world is free, right? In this case instead of a per-transaction fee of $1+ there is a monthly fee. You can do the math to determine if you send enough invoices per month to make it worth it. For us, it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable, User-Friendly System with Noticeable Savings and Great Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Nickel?

Their system is reliable, easy to use, and their team has been professional and responsive every step of the way.

We’ve definitely seen noticeable savings on our credit card processing fees and ACH transfers compared to our previous provider. The platform is both secure and user-friendly. It's clear they genuinely care about helping businesses keep more of what they earn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nickel?

I’m disappointed that certain features available in QuickBooks invoicing don’t carry over from the Nickel system. For example, I miss being able to see when an invoice email has been opened and viewed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
