## About Nextpoint
Nextpoint is a cloud-based legal technology platform that helps mid-sized legal teams manage the full litigation lifecycle, from ediscovery through case building and trial preparation, in one unified solution. The platform combines document review, data processing, depositions, and transcript management, and presentation tools with on-demand expert services, giving legal teams a single system of record from discovery to decision. Built for attorneys, paralegals, and additional legal professionals, Nextpoint replaces the patchwork of point solutions and outside vendors that legal teams have traditionally stitched together or avoided entirely across the case lifecycle. Firms can upload and store unlimited data without fees, accelerate document review with intuitive workflows and AI-assisted search, organize evidence and flag key witness materials, and move directly into their final argument without exporting between tools and risking the security of privileged client data. Nextpoint moves your matter forward with both software and an in-house services team of attorneys, legal technology experts, and data specialists. When the case calls for it, engage Nextpoint's experts for data uploads, productions, review management, or full case oversight—scaling support up or down as matters evolve with no commitment. Key capabilities include: •Unified ediscovery and case-building workflows: Process, review, produce, and present evidence on one platform, eliminating data migrations between discovery and trial. •AI-powered features built for litigation: Surface relevant documents across large case sets with natural language search or generate instant summaries of deposition transcripts — reducing review hours and accelerating case analysis. •Predictable, all-inclusive pricing: Unlimited data uploads, processing, hosting, and user seats for co-counsel, experts, and external collaborators are included in every plan. •Expert services on demand: Flat-rate litigation support packages and legal services through Nextpoint Law Group are available when internal capacity is constrained. •Dedicated Client Success and white-glove support: Get started fast with extensive product support, on-demand self-paced training modules, and live office hours included in every plan. Nextpoint serves law firms handling commercial litigation, employment, mass tort and class-action, construction, insurance defense, and IP. The platform is designed for firms that need enterprise-grade ediscovery and trial preparation capabilities, reliable security, and unlimited data hosting without the tech-savvy staffing overhead, multi-vendor coordination, or unpredictable invoices typical of legacy technology.

## Nextpoint Reviews
 ### 1. Nextpoint for Construction

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marisa P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The cost structure allows us to effectively and efficiently litigate our case without the concerns we have had regarding the size of data on platforms that bill per GB. Given the nature of construction litigation, cases tend to be document intensive and the documents themselves are very large (drawing files, CAD files, schedules, etc.).

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Three areas for improvement are:
1) It is challenging to upload produced data from the opposing side but they are developing an import tool to assist.
2) There are some limitations in the searching and sorting functions as compared to other providers.
3) Tagging is more cumbersome than it is on other platforms.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Relativity does not have the flexibility that we need as a firm to litigate our cases efficiently and other e-discovery providers were simply far too expensive when you factor in both the per-GB cost and the cost of project support for every single call/question. We have been able to upload more cases and more information to Nextpoint and to efficiently access and share that information in a way that was never fully enabled in the past (documents were only available via VPN, for example).

 ### 2. User-friendly and time saver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint is an amazing user friendly e-discovery software that we use daily in my field of work. Working as a paralegal at a law firm, we are constantly receiving client documents which can include emails, spreadsheets, word documents, Adobe PDF documents, in addition to, receiving productions from opposing counsel and/or other third parties. Nextpoint gives us the ease of being able to review these documents in an efficient and organized manner. We are able to review, mark, and produce documents with just a few clicks of a button. I have personally sampled other e-discovery software platforms but none compares to Nextpoint, not just the interface, but also with pricing.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I would like for them to be more available for answering live questions instead of guide us to the videos on the support site.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

The software is extremely user friendly and they have unlimited data storage at no additional fee.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Document production is a major part of a paralegal's job. Nextpoint has made it easy for us to upload, review and produce documents which would otherwise take paralegals hours. They also are very helpful with trial preparation. The software makes it easy to review deposition transcripts and prepare deposition designations in addition to plenty of other features. They even have components that allow you to clip certain portions of the deposition transcript and link them to the video transcript if you have it available for presentation during trial.

 ### 3. Nextpoint is great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint is intuitive and easy for our users to use. The adoption rate in our firm has increases since switching to Nextpoint, as a result. The developers at Nextpoint are very responsive to feedback and are continually improving the product and implementing requested feature enhancements.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

There isn't much to dislike about Nextpoint. There are some features available in other review platforms out there that aren't available in Nextpoint. However, many of these are actively being worked on by the developers at Nextpoint.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize Nextpoint across all of our firm office locations. We house historical data that is referenced over and over again in our toxic tort practice. We also use Nextpoint for general cases as a traditional review platform. We have increased user adoption across our firm, and have been able to increase collaboration on cases due to the cloud-based nature of the product.

 ### 4. Great ease of use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

ease of use
fast uploading speed
strong ocr capabilities

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

export function can sometimes be a little difficult

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to review significantly more volume of discovery in an efficient manner and keep organized.

 ### 5. eDiscovery at its finest

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nancy K. | Sr. eDiscover Paralegal, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The ease of importing is second-to-none! Customer service is personable and professional - over the top!

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Not much to dislike. Converting conventional load files can be a little cumbersome, but easily solved if document productions are received with a csv load file - make sure to request this in your meet and confer.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiently and effectively getting data imported and getting productions out the door, not to mention eliminating the need for a middleman to manage the backend details. Next Point has made the entire process seamless. Every aspect of this platform is what every person managing eDiscovery has dreamed about!

 ### 6. The Nextpoint Team has been great to work with.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yolanda S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The coding panel is easy to set up and I am able to locate documents fairly quickly when searching. We were able to run large productions on our own without having to pay the extra service fees. We were able to export a working set of the produced documents into another database without being charged an additional data import fee.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I can come up with workarounds for the few issues I have come across.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have two complex document intensive cases. Some historical documents were produced without metadata but we were able to create a workaround to assist with searching through these documents.

 ### 7. Nextpoint Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carol P. | Senior Real Estate Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint is easy step 1, step 2, etc. It makes use of the software quick and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

After documents are uploaded into the database and we begin too review, if we get out and go back later, the documents are rearranged. It would be simpler if the documents remained in order rather than constantly changed on the document review section.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Doesn't take a superior education to learn the program. It is a simple program that allows for time efficient assignments

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discovery maintenance and storage. Quick access to specific documents making use of time efficient.

 ### 8. NextPoint is the most customizable eDiscovery tool I have ever used.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick G. | Associate Attorney, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The ability to customize everything. Search features are also great and the customer support is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Certain portions of the system cannot be changed. I would like to be able to change portions of the system so that I could more effectively use NextPoint for projects that might not traditionally fit into eDiscovery software. Subfolders would be helpful in certain situations.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used NextPoint to organize and review several large document productions. We have also used NextPoint to help with case/claim management related to high volume litigation on behalf of a larger client.

 ### 9. As a paralegal, I utilize this program in a document intensive litigation.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2016

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

I best like the foldering system and which cuts down on duplication and creates an easy avenue between related documents, in addition to the automatic OCR'ing which makes these documents easily searchable.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I am not a big fan of the timing it takes to upload a voluminous set of documents, nor do I care for the redacting system.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Though it is slightly time consuming on the front-end, the program has made coding and searching for documents so much more efficient. Things are easy and quick to find, saving valuable time, especially during such events as depositions and deposition preparation. I also enjoy being able to pull certain documents that are coded in multiple folders based solely on what is needed.

 ### 10. Nextpoint is a great e-discovery program.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie T. | Human Resources Compliance Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

I love that the billing structure of Nextpoint allows us to offer it to our smaller clients and not just our larger clients.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I wish that the folder structure was more usable and that we could have folders within folders.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Do plenty of training prior to implementation and continue to do training so that your users are using it correctly.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Document management for our litigation files is much easier and more organized than if we put them in our document management system (imanage). We are able to search our documents and organize them better for productions.

 ### 11. Nextpoint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deborah P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint is constantly updating the software and adding new features and is user friendly. The support staff is very responsive and knowledgeable.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I would like some basic features that were available in our previous document review platform and sometimes Nextpoint is very slow.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to add additional documents or productions to a Nextpoint database which our previous software did not support. Also, we are able to load large data sets more quickly than with our previous software.

 ### 12. Nextpoint has enabled us to manage larger cases more easily.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurie W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The ease to upload documents and folder for review.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Importing load files that need to be "tweaked" to be recognized by Nextpoint. Setting up the exports for production or to share with expert witnesses.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Nextpoint's customer service is outstanding. They are very responsive, particularly when you are under a time constraint.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our biggest problem has been managing the receipt of large document productions. Nextpoint enables us to organize and review documents quickly.

 ### 13. Nextpoint is great to organize and review data.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The organization of document, templates, and filters.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

The Nextpoint articles are great and informative but it would be extremely helpful to see each step in a numbered list in one single document, listing each step from beginning to end. Then the user can go to the articles for each step's directions. An overview of the steps would invaluable. We requested this list months ago.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

You won't be disappointed with Nextpoint. My advice is to take your time learning the program and practice first.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving valuable time in documents review. With searches, nothing important gets missed. Setting up our own templates for our clients review.

 ### 14. Nextpoint Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint has been extremely helpful during trial prep and especially helpful when trying to find a document out of thousands.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I don't have any dislikes about Nextpoint.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

I would really recommend to do the online 5 week training to become an expert in utilizing all Nextpoint has to offer.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized that if I am trying to find a section in the trial transcripts or in a deposition, I can easily do an advanced search and find all the locations my key word is located to minimize my searching efforts.

 ### 15. Nextpoint beginner user

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denise K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The ability to handle large productions without having to handle all the paper!

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

It is not intuitive to me, so when I do not get to use it often, when I go back to it, it takes me awhile to remember where things are and how to do things. Plus there are usually upgrades that I haven't used yet which is a plus and minus at times.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Large document productions, large document review is done more easily and with having to be remote now, it is a great benefit.

 ### 16. Platform is super easy to use and an essential tool for our litigation management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

We can customize and organize our files, videos, documents, and all relevant materials quickly and easily

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

What I personally dislike the most is uploading files, but it is a necessary function

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Nextpoint is an absolute invaluable tool for organizing, maintaining, and sharing any and all materials related to ongoing litigation case management. Highly recommend

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One universal place where ALL relevant materials on a specific matter can be quickly and easily located by anyone in the firm from anywhere in the world

 ### 17. Outstanding product that continues to evolve and improve

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The clean and uncluttered user interface is fantastic, but the customer service can't be beat. The company continues to reach out to users to seek feedback in an effort to improve the product.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

The technicalities of working with load files are difficult to manage. That said, we know Nextpoint is actively working to address those issues.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're addressing workflows of document ingestion and production. We've seen significant improvements in efficiency at reasonable prices.

 ### 18. Makes Work Life Easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

My favorite part about Nextpoint is how easy it makes searching through large volumes of documents. I also really like how helpful everyone is. If there's is something I don't know how to do, they are very quick to answer my questions.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

The downside is that sometimes the process of importing and exporting can take longer than expected time.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

It makes having to review and produce documents easier.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The loadfile has saved me a few of times when identifying documents.

 ### 19. Ok for non-complex cases

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Cost is very reasonable for amount of data we need to store long-term

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Many features you would expect to have in an eDiscovery tool are not available in NextPoint.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Thoroughly vet your specific requirements to ensure the tool fully meets your needs. Some functionality is in the planning stages and not yet available that will make it easier to use the tool for more complex cases. Ask ALL questions about what you can do yourself versus what NextPoint must do and the cost for them to do the function. Their per hour PM rate is outrageous.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NextPoint solves a cost restriction issue we have related to storing 15+TB's of data long-term that is only ocassionally used.

**Official Response from Brad Myers:**

> Hello Reviewer. Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to hear that our platform did not meet your expectations on complex cases. We greatly value constructive feedback like yours, and we’d love the opportunity to speak with you to understand your specific issues so we might propose alternative workflows to help achieve your objectives.

Nextpoint has been successfully supporting attorneys with complex cases for nearly two decades, ranging from large, multi-stakeholder construction litigation matters to large mass tort MDLs. Every case is unique and brings with it a particular set of data and workflow challenges. We appreciate that Nextpoint may not have had the functionality you desired, but I’m confident we could propose a solution. And as you mentioned, we do have a robust product roadmap with additional features rolling out each month.

In terms of pricing, we’re happy to hear that you are taking advantage of our unlimited data plans. Nextpoint does not charge to process data; Nextpoint does not charge to host data. Our professional services team does bill if/when a client needs to leverage our support, but we have benchmarked our rates and believe they are market-competitive.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Management of document production, redactions, and notes

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Can be cumbersome to quickly review large data productions.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Very good product. Wish they would improve the ability to cycle through documents more quickly on initial reviews.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A

 ### 32. Great at first, then small issues came

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Doc review. I have cases with thousands of produced documents, which is nearly impossible to review and organize in a usable fashion. Nextpoint makes doc review and issue tagging extremely easy to do and to use. Also, Nextpoint is extremely receptive to feedback or requests, and are constantly evolving their software to client's wants and needs. That is hard to find!

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

The "Prep" database for reviewing transcripts. It seems to me that this database is in its infancy or that Nextpoint has focused its time and attention on the "Review" database. First: many of my txt transcripts uploaded without proper page breaks, making it impossible to review and issue code or designate transcripts. Nextpoint offered to "fix" the page break problem in the txt files, which would cost us about $1500 for 8 transcripts. Then I discovered that the txt files did in fact have the proper page breaks, and loaded correctly into Summation. We exported the transcripts from Summation and uploaded those into Nextpoint, and viola! It was fine. This tells me that there is something wrong with Nextpoint's software, and they wanted to charge us hundreds of dollars to "fix" the txt files. Second: the transcript designations export options are almost worthless to us; if I wanted a list of designations by issue (for which there are 20-30), I would have to export each issue separately, as opposed to having an option to export designations by issue. Because of that, we began using a different platform for our transcript review. However, I will note that Nextpoint has been made aware of these issues and are receptive to adding new designation export options, so this review may be obsolete in a few months (except for the txt upload problems, they never said they would look into that issue).

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Don't be afraid to let Nextpoint know of any issues or any requests in features! They are very responsive and open to evolving and implementing changes to the software. They want to hear from you to learn how to make their software better.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again, doc review is streamlined.

 ### 33. Nextpoint Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint makes it extremely easy to filter through documents and flag pertinent material. It also makes it easy to move documents into various categories after the relevant documents have been flagged and allows all individuals with access to that particular count to easily view flagged material and comments by others.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I have not had the easiest time extracting pages from a larger document for review. I am not sure I am comfortable with extracting pages because the original never gets deleted and then you end up accumulating duplicates of various documents. I think I would like it better if you could edit the original documents and select whether you want to keep the original or delete it, so that you don't end up with multiple of the same thing.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves a lot of time when reviewing large volumes of documents and allows various users to access the material at one time which makes it easy to use for a large group project. It is also extremely efficient to add various tabs while you are using it and to add attorney comments for others to view.

 ### 34. A good product for small sized firms

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The database is pretty straightforward, and when you do have problems with it, their support center is easy to reach. The layout is conducive to document review and I really appreciate that it allows you to search for hidden texts within a document when reviewing. Using this database definitely shortens the amount of time you would spend when producing documents.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

The product is still being developed so there are a lot of features other e-discovery products have that Nextpoint does not yet; this sometimes requires you to complete a task in a roundabout way. One feature that I hope they add soon is the ability to create subfolders.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During the discovery stage of a case is when Nextpoint is most helpful. I like that Nextpoint is able to read many different file formats. In fact, using a Mac OS Software I am unable to view certain documents that were created on a PC, I have different applications to deal with this problem but Nextpoint makes it easy because it recognizes many of these files in their database.

 ### 35. Nextpoint used for deposition designations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2016

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The color coding always look great when I need to designate a lot of affirmative designations, counters, objections, etc for trial.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

In my experiences I cannot think of anything that I dislike, I very much enjoy using the product whenever I can.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an attorney I often have to argue with the opposing party about testimony that was given in depositions and in court. I use nextpoint to highlight issues and objections regarding those statements. It makes it very easy for us to quickly understand where the issues are that we need to get resolved.

 ### 36. Just getting started

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

I am just getting started with NextPoint, but can already see the ease of use, especially with importing documents, which I found cumbersome with our last e-discovery software. I have a lot to learn, but the staff has been willing and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

There is a lot I still need to learn. I think that the best way to really retain is through trial and error so it will take some time to really feel comfortable in NextPoint. Until then, projects sometimes feel like they take longer than they should.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are still in the early stages of using NextPoint, but I think it will be key in large document review and productions, especially with the new NDIL discovery pilot program, which accelerates the discovery process.

 ### 37. Our firm has reviewed numerous documents for attorney-client privilege/business confi and redaction.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2016

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

I liked the metrics that Nextpoint used to display, so that each team member could gauge their production against that of their peers.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

That you can only redact one page at a time. There are seem to be some issues with the de-duping aspect of the program. We keep seeing the same documents over and over.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are removing privileged documents from production to our litigation opponent and keeping an electronic record of what we have done. It helps to keep voluminous production under control.

 ### 38. Great product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg C. | Managing Member, Law Practice, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2017

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

I've used all of the competitors' products. For the money, NextPoint cannot be beat. The interface is easy to use and the NextPoint is very quick to respond to questions and issues. This is a great product.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

If the program could identify near duplicates, that would be a great addition. The competitive products with this functionality costs significantly more though.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a need for document review system that allowed us to work with documents in the cloud. NextPoint filled the role.

 ### 39. Good customer service, not user friendly

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2017

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The customer service representatives at NextPoint are very responsive and are great at responding to any issues no matter how big or small.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

The user interface is not at all intuitive - there are many steps that need to take place for almost every process. A lot of small issues with the layout of pages as well, lots of scrolling up and down the pages to make changes, not a lot of ways to customize things for my needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Fine on a base level. Needs a lot of instruction for use.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having to search through hundreds of thousands of pages of discovery production for a certain name or date has gotten much easier. The advanced search tool is great.

**Official Response from Alex Braun:**

> Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you had some issues with the layout. Speed is a big deal to us, so we'd definitely like to hear your thoughts on how to make things work faster for you. Send some suggestions to support@nextpoint.com and we'll take a look at them right away. (And please do mention that you came from G2 Crowd!)

 ### 40. Easy to use Litigation Support Software and Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brooke R. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint is great because it is user-friendly and easy to use. The software helps our law firm manage & review documents and easily search transcripts.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Less tech-savy users may require more training to use the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

I recommend taking advantage of their training programs for better ease of use.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software makes it easier for us to organize and review documents such as transcripts from depositions.

 ### 41. Efficient e-discovery provider

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Promptness of response when individual issues arise during a production.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Pricing. As a small firm, I originally had a package deal ($X/month for 4 cases to be hosted). Then the pricing increased, which got expensive when I used their services for loading/help craft specific searches for documents.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Try and negotiate a package deal (monthly hosting fee for X number of cases).

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Document hosting (large-scale productions); production services. Saves time (and money) on doc review/production.

 ### 42. KM - Siskind Boyd Nexpoint Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The customer service and support is great. Anytime I have a question I am able to talk to a real person and get great feed back.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Nothing comes to mind right now - reviewing discovery is never very fun.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Nextpoint, I am able to organize and search large volumes of discovery. This would be nearly impossible without Nexpoint.

 ### 43. Nextpoint is a useful and practical platform for use in the discovery stage.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I have only had positive experiences with Nextpoint.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

Get comfortable and learn by doing!

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use and excellent customer service. It is easy to do advanced searches and filter documents. It is mostly user-intuitive.

Ability to search large volume of digital data.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

efficiency in reviewing documents

 ### 46. Using Nextpoint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

I believe that the strongest feature of Nextpoint is the search capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I waited too long to start entering information into Nextpoint.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had an extremely document intensive file and it was incredibly helpful when we needed to find a specific documents or a specific set of documents.

 ### 47. Great tool. A little complex.

Efficiency.

 ### 48. Very good tool with some improvements needed.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberto S. | Litigation Services Manager of the Americas, Legal Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2016

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

I like the simplicity of the tool. From an end-user perspective, there isn't a big learning curve which helps alleviate concerns about using it. You can get to what you need in only a few clicks, so it simplifies the review process greatly. From an admin perspective, everything is fairly straight forward and doesn't require a lot of database or admin experience to setup and/or use. Their is also some nice customizability that allows for tailoring databases and reviews to the specific requirements of that case. Processing QC is also fairly straight forward.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

There is really only one aspect of NP that I dislike, and that's the way that it processes data. Not necessarily what goes on in the backend, just how we get the data ready for import and such. The drag and drop processing function is really only good for data sets that are less than 1GB in total size. The "cloud" processing option, I have found, is more accurate with processing, but it's very cumbersome to use. Having to go through Cloudberry - an external program - can be extremely slow and I think defeats the main goal of what this tool is trying to be - simple. Using cloudberry is not an ideal way to process and can be especially burdensome when it involves very large data sets. Finding a more streamlined way of processing (see: get rid of cloudberry) would make NP a much more approachable tool. That being said, there are other smaller issues that I would like to see resolved in the future. These include: Remove the 1500 page limit for documents, full customization for coding fields/window and the ability to process and keep nested folder structures (or at least provide the ability to recreate the folder structures). It would also be nice of the Transcripts aspect of NP was more like the review aspect with regards to folder creation and such. Finally, the ability to "ghost" or duplicate the setup of another database without having to recreate from scratch every time would be great.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

If you are looking for an easy to use and administer tool that can handle small to medium sized projects (0-20GB) with relative ease, and something that end-users will find easy to learn and use, Nextpoint is a very good option for you. It's not as robust as other products out there, but if used correctly it can save a lot of time and money for you and your clients. I think that my biggest issues with the product are going to be almost universal with other users as well, but even with it's shortcomings Nextpoint has proved to be a very valuable tool for us - and it can be a very valuable tool for others as well. By fixing a few of the issues though, NP can and will be a big player in the e-discovery industry.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NP has afforded us the opportunity to keep more projects in-house, which in turn will lead to more billable time and will (hopefully) create another profit generating department for the firm. It has also allowed us to get work done faster, which makes case teams much more efficient.

**Official Response from Alex Braun:**

> Hi Roberto,

Thanks for the detailed feedback! We’d heard some similar comments about the 1,500-page limit for document imports, so our developers worked hard to eliminate it without affecting the speed of the program. (Incidentally, that update was in the works before your post and went live a couple days later.)

After this update, using a staging folder and uploading data via Cloudberry is only necessary for document imports above 5 GB or those which contain a load file. It’s to prevent your browser from timing out and canceling the upload—a risk that unfortunately exists for all web-based file processors. However, we’re exploring ways to make the process faster and more straightforward.

We’ve entered your other suggestions re: folder structures and duplicating a database setup to our development queue. There are also some ways to view folder structures in Nextpoint, which we’ll be contacting you about shortly. Would you mind sending us an email elaborating on what you’re looking for in terms of customizing the coding fields?
