First thing is the desktop sync client can be resource heavy. On laptops with limited RAM or older processors, the Nextcloud sync client consumes a noticeable amount of memory and CPU. I have seen it use several hundred megabytes of RAM just sitting idle. When it is actively syncing a large number of files, CPU usage spikes and the laptop fan spins up. Some of our team members with older laptops have complained about slow performance. I have had to advise them to pause sync during meetings or presentations. I wish Nextcloud would optimize the sync client to be more lightweight, especially for background operation. Second thing is the mobile app lacks some key features. The mobile app is fine for browsing and previewing files. But I cannot manage shares from mobile. I cannot set expiration dates on shared links or change permissions. I cannot view the audit log. I cannot run the file integrity check. For a manager who is often on the go, these limitations are frustrating.
