MyUnlimitedWP and Creative 7 Designs, Inc engaged Newswire at the end of 2019 for broad PR services for a new company offering, unbeknownst to all of us what 2020 really had in store. It has been hard, period, for all of us. Newswire came along side our business, went the extra mile, added value after a rough start, and helped keep us heading in the right direction as we all navigated this completely awkward time. Thanks to the team at Newswire, we have appreciate our association in 2020. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be hard to push to much negative dislike towards newswire considering the year that 2020 has been. Our conversation rate was very very low. But I think to many factors played into it this year to necessarily be a true reflection of your services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I started using Newswire because it offered more value than other PR distribution tools for our campaigns. I could get the same or better distribution at a better cost. What's really kept me is how responsive their team has been. They've helped me clear last-minute changes to a release and been very responsive to any questions I have about getting something published or using their add-on tools.
Here are the things I like:
- Good value
- Responsive support
- Easy-to-use, intuitive interface
- Solid reporting and performance tracking Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have any significant negatives to highlight.
One small note, if you're going to use their media database or do outreach around a release/campaign really make sure you are driving value to reporters otherwise you may not see much additional pickup. Not really a negative, just a lesson I learned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Newswire is extremely affordable, especially when held against its peers in the press release space. These services at their core just submission aggregates, they absolutely have a place. Mostly because they have built the submission algorithms to very quickly get your article on all of the automatic acceptance release aggregate sites and in the Google News rotation, which is where the real value lies. Like most press release services, your press release isn't going to wind up magically creating value for your SEO profile. Most of the backlinks created are nofollow. A large majority of the ones that aren't nofollow are on websites that inherently pass through very little backlink value because they are just content farms. The configuration and upload of press releases are easy and intuitive. It is simple to follow the process and add additional features and improve the potential reach if needed. Therefore, the customization of each press release is possible to tailor it to individual needs. Good distribution across most popular and industry specific media. One thing to highlight is the excellent customer service that replies very fast and is highly supportive. Additionally, the provided analytics allow good performance insights and help to understand to overall reach and impression of each news distribution. For all the service provided, the price is reasonable and can be customized based on the features and reach needed for each press release. Since we are a small company, this flexibility is highly attractive to us and suits our needs. Overall, we are very happy with the provided service and features that helped our company to get the first interaction with different media and editors globally. Sometimes I receive email messages/ replies from their distribution partners after they shared our news with them. Such as "Thanks for sharing but we are not interested", or out of office notifications. It seems that these are replies on the original messages sent from newswire employees to spread our news.
Additionally, we are experiencing some issues with invoicing after each press release distribution. Our company is based in Germany and for our invoicing process, we need an official invoice that contains more details, such as company name, full address, if possible also the VAT number and the items or services with details about the quantity and single price. After each press release, I have to reach out to the customer support to request the detailed invoice for our system. It would be great to offer this service in a download portal for each customer since we also need it as pdf version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love Newswire for its ease of use & flexibility. Set up different media rooms for each company you represent. Build out press releases, link up their social media platforms, add images, video, supplemental material. After you have submitted your release, editors turn things around quickly and can help if you run into trouble or need to make a change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you have multiple clients, pay attention to which newsroom you're working in. You don't want to post in the wrong media room. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very straightforward to make and edit your PR. The Newswire team will respond quickly if your content doesn't meet editorial guidelines so you can make a quality press release. Extensive pickup and distribution of your press release. It still up to you to make a quality presentation, but if done right, they have a solid rep for picking up and distributing your PR. Well, if anything, it's the price. I wish it was lower. The baseline submission is pretty reasonable. The options can add up. It's hard to tell if the lower cost services would provide equivalent coverage as Newswire. But, I do think they present a professional news service feel vs. the other options. The only equivalent alternative would be business wire which has certified timed releases for public companies. I think Newswire is a better value if you're not required to meet public mandates. First off, the price! At $199 for their Digital tier, Newswire is very affordable compared to other press release sites - it's about half the cost and has all the tools I need such as Analytics, SEO, and more! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like everything about Newswire so N/A. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Newswire is always quick to respond and assist with any discrepancies. We have never had one issue with their site or any individual on their team - this overall drives home trust and efficiency knowing our campaign is in the right hands at all times. Ease of access to review analytics at any moment is fantastic when reviewing an active campaign. We can rely on Newswire to review, edit and adjust things as needed or catch spelling, grammar adjustments as well. Being able to depend on a program and partner like Newswire establishes a major form of trust that we rely on tremendously. Especially when it comes to publicly announcing a major change within our company or industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not found one thing that I dislike about NewsWire. The pricing can seem daunting, but it is well worth it in the long run, especially when you see your analytics. Newswire allows you to view your analytics at ALL times, which is more information than I can ask for not only during the campaign, but after as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been very pleased with Newswire's process of first getting to know our company, values, key objectives, target markets and customer types and then really getting to know our services and offerings. This level of understanding and curiosity has been key delivering high value campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a significant time commitment to make the most of the EMAP and to get the desired results from the media and outreach campaigns. That said, we believe this is a necessary investment up front that will pay off over the course of our engagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about newswire are the interface and the user experience. The layout is easy on the eyes and forgiving for someone new to the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I cannot reflect on anything negative in terms of my overall user experience with Newswire. They make it easy for me. After developing the content and submitting it, the rest falls in place as you would expect. Are you guys, mindreaders!? All good stuff to say. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is easy to use and the site is attractive. Generally, we've had no issues with downtime or usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thus far, our press releases, which deal with mergers & acquisitions that we facilitate, mostly wind up on what appears to be generic websites built specifically to be press release clearinghouses. These sites seem low quality. When we choose state distribution, we have not been picked up by any relevant state media in Michigan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Newswire was easy to use with no hidden fees. We were able to receive huge amounts of interest and re-posts. We also love the analytics that Newswire provides so that we know where it has been published. We also like the consulting services that they provide around each press release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing that we really disliked or would change. We do feel it a little pricey but it is same as all the competitors but has much more services behind it. Also the personal consulting is very beneficial and helps to justify the price. We have tried a few other services and Newswire is definitely number 1 for a reasob. Flexible, easy to use, preview feature, and share with your team to cooperation
The formatting tool is easy to use, and similar to the wyswyg editing.
Lots of options with pricing, from entry level very low price, to additional options, depending on you intended for the PR.
If you use Newswire often, you can get package deals that provides additional discount and benefit.
Separate from the ease of use and all that, Newswire provides good customer services, and quick to respond, and speedy support -- only used it once, as I messed up on one of the PR I was working on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downloaded the preview page (PDF export feature) does not have the same web looking when the PR is released.
I like the 1 page option for PDF, but some people who are more "visual oriented" likes to "see how it looks" before click the publish -- thus might be good to have 2 options for PDF export: 1-page & Web-view as option will be the next release? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The team I've been working with for a year has been really professional and results-oriented. Right from the get-go, they dug in to understand our industry, our business, our audience, and most importantly, our goals. This is so important and has led to a lot of great outcomes. I have always had fast responses and turn around times on everything we execute with the newswire team. They are on top of it! No matter what project we do with them, they always keeping our goals in mind, offer unique ideas, and implement them very well. Newswire has gotten us lots of great coverage in industry journals, media websites, mentions and even articles in mega publications like Forbes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing that I dislike in our partnership with Newswire. One area we could improve the Concreteness of language in PR drafting.
What my company does, and our technologies are pretty esoteric and complicated to talk about. As a result, writing a good press release for our audience can be very difficult. Even for someone who works on my team directly. Newswire has written a few of the press releases for me, and overall the work is good. They are concise and well-formatted. However, sometimes they lack the concreteness and correct language that will resonate directly with our customers. The draft is usually good enough for me to make a handful of edits to and get it on the wire. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI is very nice — modern, intuitive, and easy to use. Also their review process is very quick. We've been able to get press releases published within a few hours of submitting them. Pricing is also competitive and the ability to pay per release is budget friendly. Overall it's a simple and smooth process for getting press releases out the door across a number of different publishers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No complaints. It's everything we expected and hoped for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Newswire is very easy to use and is exactly what you'd expect from a wire distribution service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's a bit of a 'nickel and dime' feeling from the add-on options, but this is also helpful to keep costs low and approachable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is very simple and allows you to customize everything on one screen. The press distribution lists really make this service a cut above. There are a lot of good contacts that can be acquired. The analytics portion is helpful and the visualizations for all of the different reports are worthwhile. I also like that the distribution stays region specific. On a lot of other wire services, the release is posted but most of the traffic comes from out of the country or region that it was posted within. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not a whole lot. We switched to another service for a year and came back to Newswire. We didn't know what we were missing until we didn't have it anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like the ease of use with Newswire, once I joined it did not take long to have my press releases uploaded in out to the audience that I wanted to reach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I did not like about Newswire was the billing structure, it was a little unclear and a reminder that my yearly subscription payment was getting ready to be charged to my card would be nice. When contacted, they did make this right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A media agency that already has already checked all the boxes on basic, expected tasks and processes. Leaves more time for strategic thinking. Also having a media partner who has solid contacts in each of the publications and distribution silos that apply to your business is a great benefit. And they are not shy about using those contacts to further your company's exposure. Rare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Have not found anything to dislike as of yet... and do not expect to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
