Newforma indexes all of our project data no matter where its located. It provides email management for all of our projects by making it easy to file project emails for future reference. It provides secure and fully-trackeable project inofmration file transfers. It does not require you to change the location of your project data. We utilize the Construction Management portion of the product to handle all of our RFI's, Submittals, and Document Manangement for our construction projects. NPC is a central platform for our firm, it is helpful that whether you're on the team or not, you're able to get into a project and research what you need. One of the popular features is the "Search Project Contents". The meta-data columns are also helpful to help filter the information in logs to exactly what a PM or any team member may be looking for. I wish that users could not create multiple contacts for one external person's email address! We have had a lot of users add external people to their project teams by creating new contacts instead of searching for them in the contact directory first. Convenient to have access to all project information in one location. Newforma has drastically improved the CA process at my organization, especially the deadline notifications. Newforma does three things very well. Email management, file transfers, and searching. One of the biggest project delivery challenges is tracking what is sent and received. From the standpoint of information arriving via email, the Project Email activity center is the most useful feature. Following very closely behind, File Transfers and the many ways to do it. Tracking plans submissions and other large datasets is inefficient when doing it through email, FTP, or even other popular cloud file transfer services. Having every transfer, trackable, through the Info Exchange activity center is worth its weight in gold. Finally, searching. Whether it's email, files, RFIs, Submittals... Aside from two user interface refreshes in the 10+ years I've been involved with Newforma, very little has improved with Newforma Project Center. I would argue that the user interface refreshes have mostly been color scheme changes. Sure, performance has improved but that is expected. What I really dislike is the move to connectors. There is a plus an a minus. Of course, we all want connectivity but when it's a connector to something Newforma also does such as Contract Management, it shows the deficiency of some of Newforma Project Center's activity centers. Newforma Project Center can do a lot, but it does not do a lot very well or is not the top choice for the task. I would like to see Newforma make their bread-n-butter features much (much) better both in Project Center and the Mobile Apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The email filing is really quite easy. Sending and receiving large documents are also very simple. (I especially like that they added personal transfers a few versions ago so you can use it for ad hoc items that aren't necessarily project-related.) The calendaring feature could definitely use some more work. It hasn't been updated in quite a while. Site reports are also not quite as nice and easy to use as they could be. Those are two features that we do get some complaints about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
