From an IT administrator’s standpoint, what I like most about Newforma Project Center is how it centralizes project data without adding overhead. It integrates with Outlook and our file servers, so users don’t have to change the way they work. The search is a lifesaver. People can find their own emails and files, which cuts down on helpdesk calls. No duplicate storage, straightforward AD permissions, and overall it saves both IT and end users a ton of time. What I dislike about Project Center is that the client can be a little glitchy at times, and with all the horsepower it brings, it can feel heavy when working across a VPN. That said, the tradeoff is worth it, once connected, the depth of features and centralized access to project data more than make up for the occasional hiccup.
