Like having a database of project emails that all have access to as long as they are actually filed. **What do you dislike about Newforma Project Center?** Really hard to update links to project files on the server, if the location of the files in the folder has changed. It can be done but just very mechanical. Has a steep learning curve to attaching files and pathing back to project server. Easy to miss checking all the right boxes on the exchange. Could be easier to search for emails... like being able to search for specific words that might be inside an email but not in the subject line because sometimes subject lines are very vague. **Recommendations to others considering Newforma Project Center:** Be patient learning the software. I also appreciate the fact that it records transmittals and saves them electronically which reduces the need for physical paperwork and allows for electronic tracking of sent information. I also like how not everyone needs the Newforma platform for large transfers and you can track who has downloaded the files. **What do you dislike about Newforma Project Center?** Newforma and its interface can be a bit complicated and tricky to understand for first time users. Though it does track submittals and issues transmittals, it does not provide a clear timeline for these things. I believe it is an intuitive software; however, the interface makes it much more complicated than need be. But with that, we purchased the program in an effort to file everyone's email automatically and make it easy to find specific emails by using their amazing search options in the database. This also solves the issue of losing emails belonging to employees who have left us as their emails are also on the server, preventing any lost communications or email exchanges that needed to be found later. **What do you dislike about Newforma Project Center?** The look of the platform itself is a little mundane and plain. I would love to see it look a little more user friendly and intuitive for the everyday person to make it a more approachable program for everyone in the company to be on board with. **Recommendations to others considering Newforma Project Center:** If you do get Newforma for your company, consider having someone give a tutorial on the functions you want your employees to utilize. No need to teach all the functions unless you need them, but of course they could make your life easier. **What problems is Newforma Project Center solving and how is that benefiting you?** Like I had stated earlier, we had purchased Newforma to solve our email filing and search problems. But beyond that, it makes transferring files a breeze with not only a paper trail of who it was sent to and when, but if the recipient has opened and even downloaded the email and file! Another useful feature is that it will create transmittal sheets and will keep a easy record of when they were sent! ### 33. There’s no more tracking people down for answers on issues that have already been resolved. ### 34. I was able to accomplish sharing folders and keeping track of who edits or adds which is great but it has limits such as how streamlined it is to view the folder. **What problems is Newforma Project Center solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use newforma on a daily basis and it is linked to the whole network and outlook accounts. We are trying to implement newforma in the tracking of submittals and files for our in house projects. Instead of manually tracking these items via excel spreadsheets that have to be constantly edited. ### 36. Many features are built in that promote information sharing and management across teams, clients, and activities specific to projects. Searching abilities are powerful. Very welcomed by PMs. **What do you dislike about Newforma Project Center?** Not an easy learning curve. The search capabilities, although extensive and detailed, lack a global search found in Outlook. It is a very flexible and useful platform for businesses where logging and tracking of information with client is part of the daily workflow.
