The fact that BIMTrack has "plugins" for various applications- but isnt specifically dependent on using those applications and plugins- is paramount, for my team: We are BUILDING models (not reviewing them) while reading and reviewing Drawings in PDF form (where the issues originate). The majority of our BIMTrack issues stem from PDF's, but we can use the Revit plugin or web app to input them, and the Revit plugin while reviewing answers and modeling.

Another large upside (to our specific workflow) is that using BIMTrack isnt dependent on a document or model export of any kind: neither the PDF's nor the Models. We CAN leverage the models (when we are in to actual 3D coordination based on our models), but during the initial (main) design review/validation/reconciliation process, there simply is no upside to marrying the issues to a model. And- because we are issuing questions while we review PDF's that are stored elsewhere- hypothetically forcing us to use an issue system married to documents or models is a detriment we are happy to avoid. The Hub user count and licensing structure challenges us (as a very small company, who often needs very large teams on the hub). But it is a minor limitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As we all know, Navisworks is great with clash detection, but not clash resolution and management. BIM Track allows you to convert those clashes into cloud-based issues that can then be easily managed in the authoring tools for quick and easy resolution. The fact that we can have users scanning and running clash in Navis and I can view those same viewpoints in Revit is huge. No longer looking at the model and trying to verify I am in the same place. Having the clahses assigned is saving time for us to go through all the clashes and rename and place in folders for assigning the resposible or effected parties reduces our time spent on generating reports. If we could generate views for non-clashes. Something that they would like to see modified but isn't a clash would be helpful. But overall this has been very useful not many dislikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Most people treat clash detection as the first line of defense in coordination but it should be the last line of defense. Using BIM Track during design phase you have an exceptionally clear way of communicating a issue with other design team members. Emails and snap shots can be lost and hard to track. Here you see the issue and can track the issue. Use this internally or externally it saves you time and frustration in looking for an issue. Then when you do get in to clash detection you can add those to the cloud, track and see which trade is having a hard time keep up and cause the most issues. Even though I don't currently use the software at my new company, It will be part of our VDC solution here shortly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not to much to dislike. The team is pretty good about helping with issues, even with the time delay from east coast to west coast.
