"NetX -- a DAM with great features, capabilities, and support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about NetX | DAM?

The onboarding process was great, it was really informative and customizable to our needs. We also found implementing / setting up the DAM to be relatively intuitive and user-friendly. Additionally, when we've needed support, NetX has been quick to respond to our requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetX | DAM?

There are certain features that I hope NetX develops in the future, particularly adding advanced search options to the portals and also adding the functionality to highlight the search term when searching text within documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, fast and full-featured DAMS"
5/5
What do you like best about NetX | DAM?

It is full-featured and intuitive. It's easy for end-users to figure out with minimal training (the online resources are fantastic). The onboarding was extremely good. Support is responsive too, although I don't have much experience which also speaks well about NetX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetX | DAM?

I can't think of anything which may be hard to believe. The few requests we've had for changes have already been implemented in the 15 months since we started using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetX | DAM?

Filenames should be visible across the board Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Dan Savickas of NetX | DAM

Hello,

Thanks for your review. Filenames are visible across many contexts in the NetX system. I would suggest you reach out to your Account Manager to learn more. We would also love to hear what you think is basic about the system. There are a lot of very powerful features and functions in the system. We'd be happy to set up a call to hear some use cases you need help in solving!

"NetX - Excellent DAM and Great People"
4.5/5
What do you like best about NetX | DAM?

Their team is very responsive and they communicate effectively (and professionally). I like that if I have an issue, I know that the NetX support and engineering teams are eager to help. They cultivate a strong sense of community among their users who help them decide on new upgrades. They have a first-rate DAM, which is highly intuitive, easy to use, and has dynamic options for multiple workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetX | DAM?

There's not much to dislike. A few of NetX's add-on applications could use upgrades to make their interfaces more responsive/dynamic but I'm happy with them overall. It's nice to know that when you have an issue, that you are supported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent system for consolidating and sharing images"
5/5
What do you like best about NetX | DAM?

NetX solved our institution's problem with isolated images on multiple desktops. We were able to consolidate all of our resources in one place and make them searchable and accessible to all who needed to view. NetX is customizable and met our needs. The customer service is exceptional too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetX | DAM?

It can be slow to upload large numbers of images. However, it is great to get these images off our desktops and into a web-based program. It would be helpful to search by the user who uploaded the images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use DAM for people of all levels of experience or technical capabilities"
5/5
What do you like best about NetX | DAM?

The Netx user interface is very clean and intuitive which allows people of varying technical experience to quickly learn how to use Netx. The brand portals are especially great and make the DAM look and feel like a website. Even the least tech-savvy people will feel at home using the Next brand portal interface. What do you dislike about NetX | DAM?

Internet Explorer is not a supported web browser. I know Microsoft no longer support IE, but a lot of our users still have IE as their default browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NetX is a powerful and flexible image archive tool"
5/5
What do you like best about NetX | DAM?

The NetX DAM is very flexible and customizable. Their support team is very attentive and open to new ideas -- including a few that have helped streamline our processes. The team's onboarding process is extensive and very helpful.

We were with another popular platform before switching to NetX and as the administrator and an end user, I am confident we made the right move. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetX | DAM?

One thing I would like to see improved is how the folder structure is shown. It can be difficult to see the different layers of the tree when folders are opened. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Dan Savickas of NetX | DAM

Thanks for your review, Bruce. We would love to capture your thoughts on the visibility of folders and how they can be improved and the current limitations you're experiencing. Please be sure to submit your idea to the NetX Ideas Portal and our Product Team can reach out with any questions!

"Great DAM with excellent customer support"
5/5
What do you like best about NetX | DAM?

It's easy to use, both for administrators and end-users. We were using a (much) older version of NetX that our employees found confusing, but I've only heard good things about how easy it is to use the filters and save custom searches. There are ways for people from outside of your organization to view and submit assets, as well.

The online guide is comprehensive and I've always heard back from the service rep quickly if I have any additional questions. He's always taken the time to train me or do a walk-through if it's a complicated situation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetX | DAM?

These may only apply to the on-prem version but I have to go through IT to make some changes that I hoped would be easier to do, such as remove some of the standard filters and re-order them in a way that would make more sense for our organization. It's possible, but not with basic admin rights.

We've also had a long-standing issue with people sometimes not being able to login immediately. IT and NetX are working on it, but it's frustrating. People also need to use Google Chrome to log in, as they are unable to with Microsoft Edge / Explorer.

The last thing is with permissions. For the most part, they are great. It's easy to change individual permissions or add a person to a group for generalized permissions. When you order the permissions, you need to put them in a specific order with the strictest permissions on top or the more permissive permission would override it. The help guide does mention a hierarchy but it's unclear that it means it in a literal way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
