Netwrix Identity Recovery gives administrators granular, timeline-based rollback across Active Directory, Entra ID, and Okta environments. It can revert individual attributes, group memberships, Group Policy objects (GPOs), and DNS entries to a known-good state, or automate full Active Directory forest recovery after a cyberattack or corruption event. Full change history and one-click rollback let admins pinpoint and reverse a specific unwanted change without a broader tenant or domain rollback. Role-based access controls let organizations limit which actions each Identity Recovery admin can perform, and console access can be restricted to specific ports and HTTPS-only communication. When an identity system goes down, business operations stop, so Identity Recovery is built to minimize that downtime and the risk that comes with it. By enabling granular-object or -attribute recovery instead of broad rollbacks, it prevents accidental or malicious changes from causing wider disruption, and it overcomes key limitations of native tools like the AD Recycle Bin, which doesn't cover GPOs, DNS records, or cross-platform recovery across Entra ID and Okta.
