Once it’s set up, it mostly runs in the background and doesn’t interrupt users much, which is a big win. The alerts and reports are also useful when we need to track what’s going on. EPP helped us securing our endpoint assets as well as cloud servers. It has support of all three major operating systems be it windows, linux and macOs. Installing it was very on our cloud servers as it can be managed by MDM solution. The deep packet inspection of EPP could be improved as it sometimes blocks all internet traffic leading to system breakdown whenever updates are pushed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Since being a healthcare technology company we have to protect PHI and parallely allow the data users to access them. With EPP, we able to create minimal access environment that helps us monitor the upload and download activity on the assets as well performing the deep packet inspection on end assets. EPP's Deep Packet Inspection helps us a lot with restricting sensitive files to be stored or shared by users. Custom groups also help us in allowing a set of permissinons for a specific set of users. We have a lot of users, with different groups requirirng different permission, with EPP's custom groups we can allow specific set of permissions based on their scope of work. Deep Packet inspection allows us to restrict storing or sharing prohibited files based on the company's data protection policy. Custom deny and allow lists are also very helpful for us to block or allow specific files or URLs. It's the solution to a problem for which most companies have few options: USBs! For us, blocking and allowing USBs as needed on a case-by-case basis is a MAJOR solution for a common workplace problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Netwrix Endpoint Protector? There are some license issues that i believe need to be worked out by Endpoint's developers. Aside from that, a big drawback that, if fixed, would make Endpoint a perfect tool is if you could apply their policies to FIPS 140-2 devices OR if they manufactured their own FIPS 140-2 USBs that work with their system. Securing our data against leakage via USBs is probably the best DLP policy any company can implement. That was our problem, and Endpoint solves roughly 80% of that for us.
