I really like how simple Netwrix Endpoint Policy Manager is. It does one thing very well without needing complex configurations. I appreciate the fine-grain controls that let us choose what users can escalate. The logging function is another feature I value because it allows us to verify user actions. Netwrix Endpoint Policy Manager allows end users to escalate privileges without IT support, essential for users who are offline or working after hours. It allows you have all GPO settings, ADMX etc applied to windows endpoints that are Azure AD joined. This helps eliminate the need to use Hybrid Azure AD. I have not run into a problem with PolicPak. There helpdesk is always available to help you solve any problem you may encounter. Recommendations to others considering PolicyPak: PolicyPak allows you to convert GPO settings that can be exported and depolyed via MSI installers to your endpoints that are Azure AD joined only. Applications that are created to run under a users context, we use least priliveaged manager to block these types of applications. We can easliy run powershell scirpts, ADMX templates with ease. I don't know how it works, but it works! one of the most straightforward tools to set up and deploy and it starts working instantly! You do not need to be a Group Policy expert to get up and running with deploying policies, so it's also easier to bring in other IT professionals to share the management load without digging through the jungle that is Group Policy settings. The Least Privilege manager Pak is a security professional's dream come true, being able to lock down administrative rights but still allow the user to install and run already safe and proven applications. The Browser Router Pak is a devilishly easy way to avoid end-user frustration and reduce phone calls to support just to tell them "use a different browser." I could go on and on, but the Paks sell themselves with their name and what they do, they allow a full product free 30 day trial, so there is no reason to give them a try. The cost can start to climb if you have a lot of VDI pools you want to manage as you have to license every computer in your selected OUs. I think they could accomplish the same thing with a block or tiered pricing as the hard part to sell to the budget committee is the "per end device" pricing can feel like it has no upper limit on how much it can cost. Compliance confidence is much higher, as is our workstation security, instantly locking down potential threat vectors before they happen and controlling privilege creep is huge. We are using PolicyPak Cloud to manage both office and remote workstations. My favorite features are "Least Priviledge Manager" that allowed us to completely eliminate users' admin rights at workstations, and "Remote Work Delivery Manager" for distributing files to remote workers. We're also using "Administrative Templates Manager" and "Preferences" to push necessary settings to remote workstations. Documentation is very well written and very detailed, including a lot of videos. Support often responds within minutes after I post a question! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about PolicyPak? Sometimes it is still necessary to create a GPO and then import it into PolicPak Cloud, but most of the configuration can now be done right in the cloud. With PolicyPak Cloud we were able to quickly deploy more than 50 mobile devices to remote workers and support them with very limited staff. Network Administrator Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) 7/16/2019 "Great for Configuring and Controlling your Windows Environment!" 5/5 What do you like best about PolicyPak? The ability to easily push users to use certain browsers with certain web sites with Browser Router. That is the best thing but this has so much to offer it is hard to list everything I like. The other nice thing is it ties so nicely in with your Active Directory Group Policy environment that you don't even need a server to deploy it. Also the upgrades after testing are so simple that you put the new setup file in a folder on the network and the Client Side Extension takes care of updating itself. PolicyPak can do so much that they have to have a boot camp in order to teach it all! There was one issue we had with Firefox, ForcePoint and PolicyPak the issue resolved itself so not sure what to say about that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering PolicyPak: if you have it, spend the time and go to the bootcamp and take all the training from PolicyPak it is worth the time and most of the training is free! Being able to push a user to use a certain browser with certain websites. I can control software a lot easier then the default Microsoft Group Policy and you can control a LOT more software and even create your own software control Group Policy Object. Group policy is complicated so while the tool enhances the delivery of group policy it still requires testing and sometimes testing some very technical configurations. Pre covid we had 20% of our computers roaming, off-domain, with no way to add, change or modify group policy, post covid that increased to 30% to 40% of our PC's we know can manage all group policies regardless of the PC's location. PolicyPak allows us to keep a uniform look across our windows 10 devices and a consistent policy for almost every application we use. Going a step further, we can now set windows apps that are allowed or disallowed to ensure that no users are installing apps that our department does not approve. Least Privilege Manager has been a cornerstone in our security policies. We have removed all local admin permissions and still allow programs to run that require elevation. In a smaller shop, Policy Pak has saved us countless hours in setup and management with how easy the policies are to create and maintain. PolicyPak allowed our orignation to go Azure Ad joined and not have to use Hybrid AD joined. We used PolicyPak to convert any GPO's that were not in Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
