I like using NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability because of the real-time analytics and packet-level details it provides, which help me pinpoint root causes and reduce guesswork during outages. The end-to-end visibility is crucial when handling critical apps, and I find it valuable to clear paths during downtime. The ability to analyze traffic beforehand helps me a lot in managing traffic spikes and slowdowns. Mapping applications and tuning alerts are pretty easy, making these processes less tedious. Plus, NETSCOUT has more features, better visibility, and enhanced troubleshooting capabilities, which were factors that prompted my team to switch from our previous tool. I find the Dashboard and UI lacking. I wish there were separate views for NOC, app teams, and management, as well as better widget customization and a unified timeline graph. The cost is also a concern; it'd be great to have improved licensing options and resource optimization. While mapping applications and tuning alerts were manageable, they weren't entirely effortless. We had to spend time validating traffic flows to ensure the right services were grouped and correlated properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
