"NetLease by NetGain"
4.5/5
What do you like best about NetLease by Netgain?

Hi, we used the NetLease by NetGain and it really helped our business improve effieciency. We started as a small company with only a handful of leases, but over the last two years we have grown our leases from the handful to almost a 100 leases. We originally used excel but ran into a lot of user error and omissions. NetLease by NetGain helped us significantly improve our efficiency and quality of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?

There is a delay with asking for help with our lease consultants and sometimes a straightforward answer isn't possible so we have to manage workarounds, but overall everything is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NetLease - Helped with our implementation of 842"
4/5
What do you like best about NetLease by Netgain?

This has automated our process in recognizing leases under ASC 842. It allows us to have a schedule of leases that is easy to provide to our auditors. We have been able to quickly get all of our lease amortizations into the accounting system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?

The Short Term and Long Term reclass entries are individually recorded, instead of having 1 entry per subsidiary calculated. This provides a longer time to review and approve all entries. All of these entries show up under the regular Journal Entry Approvals, which is confusing as to where the approvals for these and the other lease entries need to occur. What do you like best about NetLease by Netgain?

The reporting capabilities of NetLease and NetAsset are incredibly helpful in verifying and investigating items. The Netgain team has been incredibly helpful with implementation and answering questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?

There is not much to dislike. NetLease and NetAsset cover what used to be done in a spreadsheet manually, all in one system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NetLease is Great!"
5/5
What do you like best about NetLease by Netgain?

NetLease makes it very easy to manage your lease portfolio under the new ASC 842 standards. Managing your leases manually is impossible due to the complexity of the rules, and NetLease makes it easy. It also makes it easy to amend leases and make changes if you make any mistakes creating your leases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?

It does add cost, but it is well worth the price as it saves the team a tremendous amount of time. The only other downside is the permissions can sometimes be hard to manage as some of them are maintained inside of scripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use/easy to understand"
5/5
What do you like best about NetLease by Netgain?

We are a fast-growing company and we wanted to early adopt the new ASC 842 before the end of our fiscal year and year end audit. We didn’t know how to, or which tools would best support our systems, until we learned about NetLease.

The fact that NetLease was embedded in NetSuite was the biggest advantage for us compared to other tools out there for ASC 842. NetLease gives various reports to help support the calculation and disclosures of the new standard Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?

CONS: None that come to mind at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about NetLease by Netgain?

I like that it is integrated into our Netsuite software so I do not have to log into another site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?

I have not found anything I dislike. It is pretty straightforward software. But then again, we don't have complicated leases, so our experience may differ from others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Product and Knowledgeable and Helpful Implementation Team!"
5/5
What do you like best about NetLease by Netgain?

As NetLease is fully integrated with NetSuite, it is very easy to manage the set of through GL process and reconciliations! The menus are very intuitive and easy to use. I love the subledger reporting capabilities that let you review results before posting journal entries. The implementation of the product was very smooth and our implementation team with Amanda and Rebecca were great to work with throughout the process! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?

Some of the reporting capabilities have room for improvement. I would like to see a full detailed rollforward reports on the ROU asset and Lease Liability by transaction types. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reporting lifesaver"
4.5/5
What do you like best about NetLease by Netgain?

It is beneficial when you set up the leases on the front end. Once you understand the calculations, which are easier in this solution, you can let it run. Honestly, I see the most value in the reporting tools it has once it is set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?

I wish the reporting was a bit easier to figure out. Once I found all the reports I needed it wasnt hard, but at times, it was hard to find. I also wish I could easily edit the out of the box reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Successful NetLease Implementation"
5/5
What do you like best about NetLease by Netgain?

Implementation plan and guidance, and the implementation team is available for weekly cadence calls to keep the project on track. All bundles are already integrated into NetGain (for NetSuite customers this is a no brainer). For NetLease only pay for the number of leases you have and nothing extra (like pre-bundled packages with 100 leases). Prepackaged reporting is good and can be customized as needed however it met the requirements so no additional reports were needed. In combination, these two modules eliminate NetSuites' Fixed Asset Module, which was never upgraded to comply with reporting guidance in (ASC 842 for lease accounting) and can't produce a proper PP&E roll-forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?

Adding rolls and permissioning can be tricky. They must be re-applied twice in sandbox and production environments which can be frustrating for users. However, this is a non-issue after go-live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
