The automation and ease of booking the monthly transactions reduced our time spent on leases each month by approximately 6 hours. Moving from an excel based process to NetLease has implemented automated controls in place and timeliness of monthly transactions, including reclass entries. The implementation team did a great job learning to our specific needs in terms of treating certain finance and operating leases, and made sure all of our concerns were answered, and the setup was done correctly. They did a great job prioritizing the implementation process given a short timeline from our end, while still ensuring quality and integrity of information was upheld throughout. There are a lot of reports available, so our team just needs to work through them to see which reports will be the most effective and relevant to our team and our processes. Although we have a smaller lease portfolio, the Company found NetLease was great in consolidating all of the information into one place. The reporting capabilities allow us to review the data in the format required for disclosure purposes and help support the calculations. The fact that NetLease was embedded in NetSuite was the most significant advantage for us compared to the other tools we had demos for implementing ASC 842. The ability of the system to account for the various modifications that can occur during the life of the lease adds an extra benefit with the business decisions being made. The efficient and robust implementation process and support team made the transition seamless. Additionally, the capability of a central repository by lease record makes an audit trail very easy to maintain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is NetLease by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you? ASC842 is guidance required to be implemented by private companies as of a certain date. Previously, we were accounting for our leases manually and NetLease has allowed us to record and track our leases under the new guidance. This includes systematic entries (after entering all data points) for the transition entries as well as the recurring monthly entries. Understanding the accounting behind the entries is helpful and the display of the system allows users to follow the entries and aids auditors in their review of the documentation/support. NetLease by NetGain addresses an important gap in NetSuite, namely ASC842 calculation and reporting. We faced a major challenge in this area when implementing NetSuite and when we asked Connor Group, our SI, for their advice, they suggested NetGain had the best offering. And they were right. A cool feature is that NetGain is so tightly integrated into NS that it really looks like just an extension of NS. On top of all that, the pricing is keen as mustard and NetGain prof services were great to work with not just in getting us set up but with occasional follow up questions. The thing I enjoy the best is the automated month-end journal entries and how we can keep all our lease documents and inputs in one record. The items I dislike are the proposal section, some times we don't have a commence date to base the payment schedule on, and we are unable to submit a proposal until management has one. NetLease is native to NetSuite, meaning you don't need to login to a separate site. This feature is so valuable, as there is no other system to integrate. I disliked the time lag between when questions came up and received responses. I liked having a person dedicated to our project, but it would be helpful to also have a hotline you could call throughout the implementation process if your contact was not available.
