What do you like best about NetExplorer?

In my experience, NetExplorer is very useful for Document version control. Even it is not the main usage, it adapts to control the Document management workflow, from the draft to the approval, and the maintenance/update process. However, it is a file-sharing software and includes features such as backup, data synchronization, and file sharing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetExplorer?

I would like to see more integrations, maybe the new versions have them. But in our case the integration with project management tools was necessary, but we couldn't handle it straight from the suite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering NetExplorer:

It's very important to evaluate what you really need. Maybe a few years ago this was an outstanding tool, but right now there are many options. So the first you need to do is do that prior evaluation, then go for it. This is a good tool, has good support, and most importantly they offer training from themselves. If you have enough time to evaluate a Demo, try it so you can make the best decision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NetExplorer solving and how is that benefiting you?

The need to handle the Document management workflow in different places all over the country. These documents were part of the ITIL implantation plan for the IT organization inside the Oil and GAs national company. NetExplorer has been a versatile software tool that allows for collaboration between internal co-workers and external business partners. It has the ability to backup and synchronize documents. We have improved revision control and security/permissions for people to update and modify documents. There is better collaboration between people working on the same document and being able to input their content.
