## NetBeans Reviews
  ### 1. Great software for programming in JAVA

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matteo T. | Buon prodotto, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2019

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

It's intuitive and easy to use.. I've tried several software, but this is the best! I think it's worth recommending it to anyone!

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

I feel great. Of course, it can always be improved with new features, but it's quite a complete software.. it allows you to do everything.

**What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No one. I can read the programs without problems and analyze any bugs that occur.

  ### 2. Some of the Best IDEs for Java, Ruby, PHP, Python...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

The best thing about Netbeans is its autocomplete plugin, which works brilliantly for application development in Java and PHP languages. (These are the ones I've tried, I don't know how it works in other languages). Additionally, the great ease of creating user interfaces (UI) in Java because its designer is very intuitive and offers different layers to Create the forms. (It also has support for MigLayout).

And, without a doubt, the best feature of Netbeans is the management of databases; honestly, it is the IDE that best implements and manages MySQL databases, which is very useful if you have to handle your project with any language, whether it be PHP or Java.

Finally, recognize that the community plays an important role in making Netbeans so popular due to their contributions in plugins, as well as in documentation and help or support for new IDE users.

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

I will never understand how it is possible to create such a complete IDE and neglect such an important aspect as the visual. The default interface and the chosen font, as well as the icon theme, are literally ugly and look outdated. The icons do not describe at all the action they represent.

Unfortunately, this is something very common among IDEs and I don't understand why it is so difficult to use more up-to-date graphic libraries.

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

Easy and intuitive development environment

**What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using Netbeans for a long time for my projects, especially those I program in Java because its UI designer is very comprehensive and works without glitches or failures. I mentioned failing because it is very common in other IDEs that they cannot drag objects within the form.

  ### 3. NetBeans is a free integrated development environment.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** freda L h. | Administrador , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

A Netbeans is much more than a text printer. The NetBeans Editor implements lines, matches words and pins, and exceeds the source code syntactically and semantically. In addition this preserves an accurate description of large applications, with hundreds of folders and files, and hundreds of lines of code, is a daunting task. Rapid development of the user interface.

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

what displeases Netbeans is that by its slowness when running applications is very tedious as it sometimes takes to load the software, the bad thing is that it requires an interpreter.
Some implementations and libraries may have sophisticated code. also having a bad implementation of a program in java, can result in something very slow.
Some tools have an additional cost.

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

This makes life easier for us to create software, although it seems a little difficult as there is to be knowledge of programming but the main and important function is to serve as a tool so that they can be like who says run the programs.

**What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Netbeans offers or gives us a wide range of tools to all programmers and this way helps us to write, compile, debug and execute programs. It is written in Java - but it can be used for any other programming language.
This makes life easier for us to create software, although it seems a little difficult as there is to be knowledge of programming but the main and important function is to serve as a tool so that they can be like who says run the programs.

despite being an open source tool, it usually has some add-ons or libraries for some plugins or tools that are paid and must be paid for downloading it. It also tends to be slow when executing several projects at the same time, although there is little documentation about its libraries and use are efficient tools.you may need some applications of java tools.

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

I recommend the use of this tool to software developers because it is useful to develop php and java system in an easy way where you can interact with its interface, in turn you can execute the application and the tool is responsible for reading the code to identify if This has some error or line of code. also the generated file of this tool can be executed both in proprietary software as free software implementing its integrated tools such as the database or some other.

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

I like the most is that it has a multi-stage language. The code that is written in java is perused by a mediator, so your program will deal with any stage. What it deciphers is essentially that the Netbeans stage can be utilized to build up an application you can reuse the modules notwithstanding permitting the utilization of the Update Center Module device incorporates layouts and Wizards and has support for Php likewise has or is straightforward establishment and update which streamlines the entire establishment it is extremely valuable. I like the cross-stage of Netbeans that permit it bolster many programming dialects like C/C++, Java, PhP and others in programming advancement.

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

I think the most noticeably awful thing that NetBeans has is that is overwhelming. It needs a ton of time to instate and here and there is moderate code with it since it requires long investment to demonstrate the anticipate the code you need to compose.

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

On the off chance that one is searching for some cool and adjustable Java Development IDE, at that point Netbeans is a standout amongst the best IDE to be picked. Its intellisense will lessen the coding time and feeling of anxiety to ideal dimension while structuring the product. I recommend.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven B. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2019

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

I have used Netbeans for 3 years (maybe more) and I think it is a great IDE, which offers flexibility and speed for programming in many languages, especially the language that is best handled is Java.

Netbeans, like the majority of IDE is very customizable, fonts, themes, colors, position of the widget etc ... all this can be configured to the user's liking.

Technically it is a mature software, with several years of development so it is very stable. By default it has features such as autocomplete, syntax highlighting, search and replacement with support for regular expressions and database management.

To summarize, the positive points in my opinion of Netbeans are:

- As with most open source projects, it has great community support.
- Multiplatform, Windows and Linux
- Support third-party plugins, some very useful as Gradle support or better Git
- Possibility of adding external themes created by the community that greatly improve the experience.

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

What I did not like about Netbeans:
- I did not like the interface, it's too old and many users give importance to this point.
- The themes that come by default are not beautiful or current.
- The default fonts could be changed by other open source that look much better like "Noto Sans"

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

I recommend Netbeans if you are a Java programmer and you are looking for a stable IDE with a powerful debugger. In addition Netbeans has no additional licensing costs.

**What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazing IDE to code JAVA. It shows perfectly and clearly compile errors during execution. Another thing, it has numerous options that help reduce work time. The interface and the work environment is very customizable, for example in my case I prefer to program with the dark colors instead of clear. It has adequate support for other JVM languages like groovy, scala and such (along with nice support for python lovers)

  ### 20. Good environment for beginnings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

Although NetBeans presents itself as a serious environment and commands respect, from my point of view it is more suited for beginners and small developments. It has a pleasant and simple environment while at the same time offering certain utilities that make you feel like you are working with something serious. Perfect if you work with PHP or CSS (although it supports many other languages).

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

Its main virtue is also its main disadvantage. Very simple and practical but it also means it is very limited in the same aspects. Not very practical in certain tasks and it doesn't have as large a community as, for example, Eclipse, which would be its older brother.

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

I recommend it if you are not a very demanding person and do not need a very advanced environment for your developments. Also, if you are starting in the world of programming or studying, it is a good option. I do not recommend it if you are going to undertake a large project or for business purposes.

**What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used it sporadically. It has helped me review CSS sheets or some PHP files. The use has been satisfactory, but as I said, it falls short in some aspects. When you don't have a development environment or editor at hand, it's a good option and on some occasions, it has been very useful to me.

  ### 21. A great IDE with excellent features for system development.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda L. | Developer of softwares and mobile applications., Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2019

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

Netbeans has a lot of functions and features with which I can perform at work, I like its modular form since I can combine several modules to get what I need, it also has a powerful version control, another of its important characteristics for me, is that Netbeans provides many templates and tools which make my job easier.

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

For the java programming language you need to have your interpreter installed otherwise you can not do anything, besides its interface is a bit heavy when I run or test the software that I develop, I can also say that not all programming languages are compatible with this IDE unless you download an appropriate module.

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

It is necessary to have some knowledge of java to be able to use it and have a good performance with this IDE, however once you can configure it to your liking, it will be a very useful tool on your computer.

**What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Netbeans, in addition to being an IDE, is a platform that helps me to develop complex desktop systems with Java, as well as being very useful for multiple web programming languages.

  ### 22. Netbeans The best java development IDE for simple app development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

Its simple and for easy use and understand ability and for DB connections also it's very easy and correcting compilation errors

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

The interface is a little bit too classical and so that user friendliness is low. Also not very eye resting IDE for long term coding. But in a recommendable level

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

Use it for mini projects but for commercial level projects, its not very applicable

**What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developing simple java projects for my university Projects and for client basis.

  ### 23. Excellent to start in an IDE

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paola S. | IT Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2019

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

This IDE is one of the best or at least I recommend it with closed eyes to start in the world of IDEs. Also this inclue powerful and updated languages to program in, such as:
Java, JavaScript, HTML5, PHP and C / C ++.

I must also add that it is one of the IDEs that are most commonly used at the level of small practice laboratories, universities (in the first courses of Software or Systems) and in small companies. Since the cost of acquisition of this product is very low and as I said before, the programming languages that are based on this IDE are widely used and demanded today.

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

As for what I do not like much of this IDE is that they need to implement more features that help improve the programming in the different languages they have available since even if they have a car help to complete sometimes does not work at all well or at least unlike some who are better positioned, this is missing a lot.

Finally the design of the IDE, I think it should improve. Including your website and ads.

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

I recommend users interested in this IDE. To the point where we can learn to get the most out of it.

**What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able thanks to this IDE to give courses, tutorials, workshops for clients who want their employees to learn to program and for being a very practical and simple, I use it very frequently for these purposes.

A lot of its features make NetBeans the best open source IDE! I love the support for multiple languages (Java, C++, PHP). The code autocompletion feature is great, and it's support for other plugins for testing, and modifying code according to blackbox testing techniques is pretty good too. NetBeans has a very interactive GUI, which makes it very easy to maneuver.

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about NetBeans?**

Of the things that I like the most about NetBeans is its ease of use and easy learning that characterizes it. It also serves very well to perform tests with different languages since it meets the standards in the market. That is, it has good code processing, includes good links with current operating systems.

On the other hand, NetBeans really is not an expensive software, so when looking for an IDE from which the project where it will be used will not leave many benefits to the company we can take it into account without worries.

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

About the features that I do not like NetBeans are: that they do not update followed by what sometimes becomes a bit tedious not being able to enjoy the best versions of some complementary systems. It does not have a great design compared to other IDE (Although the truth is not the worst).
It contains some characteristics that are a little obsolete or that already with other programs that are installed additionally we obtain it and in a more complete way.

**Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:**

I recommend this IDE to make betas, test environments, tests.

**What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to perform more than 20 tests or test environments for different programs and companies with a low cost value for my company, which translates into more profits in the business.

The excellent interface is quite comfortable because it has all the tools in sight and very well ordered, I can customize the font and color to my liking, another feature that I like about this IDE is the possibility of downloading add-ons that incorporate new functions and features , although the strength of Netbeans is that Java can be configured to support almost any type of programming language.

**What do you dislike about NetBeans?**

By default, it is available in English and does not have more languages unless you install them manually, also when installing many add-ons it becomes slower and freezes a lot when debugging my code.
