"NVMe Storage"
What do you like best about NetApp AFF?

NVMe is more faster than flash storage. It's more efficient to transfer data from NVMe Storage to server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetApp AFF?

Freshly written data to NVME are fast to read. But over few months to year they gradually slower to read. When you refresh them it is fast again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NVMe fast and reliable"
What do you like best about NetApp AFF?

The NVMe storage is the second generation of the SSD which comes after the hard drive. The NVMe is much better and faster than the HDD and the SSD. There is no mechanical component that moves which make it more durable in case of handeling shocks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetApp AFF?

From my point of view, i don't see downsides for the NVMe. It is fast reliable and has low latency. The only thing that can be pointed to is that it is expensive. More expensive than the SSD.

Also, it is not compatible with all laptops, if your motherboard isn't "new" you might face compatible issue Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick and Reliable"
What do you like best about NetApp AFF?

NVMe storage is much faster than the previous solutions I was working with. It's also quite reliable in the fast that I can do other things while information is writing to the drive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetApp AFF?

There aren't a lot of downsides, but I do not think I can use this in all of my builds. It depends heavily on the other hardware you're working with. I would like for more compatibility across both new and older hardware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Optimum storage for performance intensive applications"
What do you like best about NetApp AFF?

The stability of the software and hardware components over a long period has proven it's a good base to build a service platform for the business needs both now and into the future. It serves the performance requirements for heavy databases as well as applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetApp AFF?

Even though the AFF series have faster drives and computing, it struggles with high block size traffic that's generated from SQL and Oracle DB instances. Also, it needs improvement in terms of patch management from the vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Editors choice winner entry-level flash storage from NetApp"
What do you like best about NetApp AFF?

NetApp AFF A200 is an entry-level array for small organizations that are either looking to begin with or migrate to all-flash storage, or as a nice option for remote/branch offices. The A200 is a dual-controller platform powered by six-core Intel Broadwell-DE processors and upward of 64GB of memory. From a capacity perspective, the A200 has 24 2.5” bays for SAS flash drives. The array supports up to 15TB drives, bringing a total raw capacity up to 367TB, although effective capacity is much higher with data reduction. Moreover, NetApp offers a guaranteed storage efficiency reduction of 4:1. The A200 also can add capacity through a DS224C expansion shelf. The array runs on NetApp’s ONTAP operating system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetApp AFF?

The virtualization performance is a little slow

Missing a 1.92TB SSD option to hit the price gap between the 960GB and 3.8TB configurations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
