What do you like best about .NET 4.5?

The thing we like the best is the security it offers as we integrate into our application. It has a great ability for backwards compatibility within all our applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about .NET 4.5?

One thing that we tend to dislike is the actual upgrade process within our application, but I don't think that has anything to do with the .net framework itself more on how we architected each application. Some business benefits is .net's ability to handle many of our business processes, one of which includes the ease of deployment across all our applications. Many additions were made on .NET framework 4.5, among those asynchronous calls, Workflow foundation, WPF, WCF, networking, web.

.Net 4.5 paved the way for massive changes in the framework ultimately leading to 4.7 and to .Net Core (which I love). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing I really dislike, the 4.5 version of the framework just feels a bit cumbersome in some places now with the improvements in 4.6, 4.7 and Core Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a vast and powerful framework but do not be intimidated by its size or complexity. Once you learn the basics, it is easy to pick up the time saving shortcuts. A quick web search usually leads to many others with similar questions on usage or problems Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
