The platform is user-friendly and highly customizable. The customer support is amazing - the team at Nestor always helps us adapt the system based on our needs. The skills hub area is a great way for us to be confident about the capabilities we have at an organizational level and is a transparent way for our employees to self-evaluate their skills, get feedback from their colleagues and see their progress over time. Would be helpful to be able to self-customize all the emails we send to our employees. What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you? One-stop shop for skills, objectives, surveys, and reviews. The functionalities are well connected and the data we receive in our dashboards and reports is actionable. It also helps us increase the transparency around the strategic directions we take and the skills gaps we have at an organizational level. Our employees see their own skill gaps so that they can act on them, and identify easier what learning or career development opportunities would be suitable for their future growth. Nestor helps us understand our OKRs to which we can track progress. When Microsft acquired Ally, we refused to install Microsoft Teams. We evaluated many options but, when the dust settled, we decided to use Nestor. It's easy to be able to create the OKRs, and you aren't forced into the metrics that they want you to pick - you can run your organization with "reached/not reached" metrics, while also being able to do goal points. It's a little harder to create Annual/Half/Quarterly objectives - it's getting there! I would also say that the feedback we give turns into product changes that have improved the experience. We were using Ally.io before but then Microsoft acquired it and put it inside of Microsoft Teams, which is a terrible product. We refuse to use Microsoft Teams because it's nowhere close to Slack in terms of quality, and Microsoft is not an OSS supporter (as much as they claim to be). Nestor helps us align around our OKRs and be an effective team - without Nestor, we would be tracking this, unsuccessfully, in a spreadsheet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Great way to have a high-level view over what are the skills within the team and how to best out of it. It also helps that I can easily see how they progress and what a manager can do to better impact the trajectory of each individual. It also helps that the team at Nestor are always quick to respond to feedback and work with you to implement features that would make your life easier as a manager. I think once you have gone over the onboarding period you get used to them and can tweak them to work around your use case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. As a small team we don't have time to find the time to go through complicated tools to manage skills, track performance and run routine things like 360 reviews and team pulse checks. So Nestor fits right in doing all that and then some. Helps manage all these processes without too much headache and you get to see the progress in real time. The platform is a well-designed way to connect employees' objectives, development feedback and plans. The customer service is also excellent. The system could use more UX focus to ensure that it is intuitive for users, but that will likely come with more development time. Also, the administrator functionality is still limited and sometimes requires intervention from the Nestor team to complete tasks that would be helpful for admin to be able to do on their own. Nestor has been helpful as a feedback mechanism to get input on what strengths team members have as well as their opportunities for improvement. Really nice and easy-to-use tool to track objectives and improve my skills. I find it very handy as it helps me stay focused on my quarterly objectives and keep track of my progress. I love how you can comment on other peers’ goals using emoticons and the variety of options I have to quantify my goals: milestones, units, or percentages. Besides the goals feature, I also like the fact that I can rate my skills level, get skills reviews from my manager and other peers, and discuss the ratings with each other.
