"Excellent tool for goal tracking and continuous improvement"

5/5

What do you like best about Nestor?

I use Nestor to create and check in on my quarterly objectives. It’s very useful because I have many options to measure my progress towards the achievement of the goal. I also can invite my manager or other colleagues to contribute to my goals and also leave comments. My favorite thing is the emoticon functionalities, which I find very cool and fun. Another thing I love is the ability to self-review alongside the managers’. These skills reviews which usually take place twice a year, make room for open communication with my manager, which is great. Afterward, we can decide on a future development plan focused on developing or improving my existing skills. Although in the beginning I was a little bit distrustful about this practice, I soon realized it supports my continuous development and I can always keep track of the new requirements for my role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nestor?

Too many notifications over email.

The app is super easy to be used on mobile, but a mobile app would be really nice to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nestor is a very useful tool. The goal-tracking option keeps me motivated and focused on the outcomes, and I also can see how other members of my team are performing. This is really engaging from my perspective. From the very beginning, it was very easy to use and not difficult at all to navigate through it. Our performance review processes got a lot easier and efficient, saving many hours of preparation, for both me and my manager.

The section for documenting feedback is something I like very much as well because I can access it easily, whenever I want to, and go through the comments left by my manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The easy way of assessing skills and how their level of proficiency is displayed on each profile

The possibility to create growth plans centered around acquiring new skills and developing the existing ones

Easy way of identifying and visualizing skills gaps for the current role

New functionalities and improvements released each month

Short time of implementation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nestor?

Sometimes the notifications are overwhelming especially if you are a manager having more than 10 direct reports

Nothing else to add here Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Identify if our people have the right skills according to the level required for their job role

"Awesome product for tracking and assessing skills"

5/5

What do you like best about Nestor?

- Flexible skills and capabilities database

- Ease of use for both employees and managers, high adoption in our organization

- Easy way to assess skills during performance reviews and 360s

- Multiple ways of visualizing skill gaps (Employee Skills Profiles and Skills Matrices)

- Speedy implementation compared to other platforms and great support from the team

- Usefull integration with Slack Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nestor?

Absolutely no complaints up to this point. A mobile app would be amazing to have in the future, but it can be used from your mobile pretty smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nestor helps us gain an objective understanding of the skill gaps existing in our organization.

What I like most is their thorough assessment process and the opportunity to tap into multiple perspectives (manager, self-review) so we can have the most accurate outcomes.

As self-ratings can sometimes be biased, we need to get managers involved in this process and collect their feedback as well.

Nestor provides us with multiple ways of visualizing skill gaps. You can identify gaps at the individual level for both your current role and future desired job. Managers can also identify skill gaps within their teams and balance strengths and weaknesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Skills and Career Management Tool to develop critical skills and competencies"

5/5

What do you like best about Nestor?

We are currently using Nestor to make sure our employees have the right skills and competencies needed to perform their roles accordingly and to assess their evolution twice a year.

Nestor has been a trusted partner in the process, providing our HR department with customized recommendations to meet our needs and get started smoothly. In the first phase, we mapped out the skills and competencies of some critical departments with stretch assignments and a need for upskilling from a leadership perspective.

We managed to identify what the gaps were and the next step was to set personalized growth plans for each individual. Nestor’s growth plans were very useful in this direction as we could assign very easily skills that need to be developed and also growth objectives. Tracking employee skills has turned into a straightforward and transparent process ever since, with benefits on all sides: HR, managers, and employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nestor?

By this moment, I couldn’t find any cons, maybe except for the fact that a mobile app will be quite useful in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nestor helps us tackle many of our internal challenges related to the lack of visibility of the critical skills and competencies employees need to develop according to their roles to perform better and be more engaged.

With Nestor, we can support in an agile and ongoing way our employees in the path of growth and gain real-time insights about their progress and how this progress contributes to meeting their operational objectives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing else to add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful talent management solution that boosts skills development and performance"

5/5

What do you like best about Nestor?

The thing I like best about Nestor is its straightforward processes for HRs, people managers, and employees alike. The setup is very quick and I can easily define job roles and skills repositories so we can have a clear view at each point about the skills and talent available in our organization.

Further on, we can easily assign skills and competencies to jobs, effectively manage performance expectations and identify individual strengths and areas for improvement for each individual. Also, the feature that allows me to search through the database for a particular skill has been very useful.

From my viewpoint, having job roles, skills, and performance management all together it’s a great win. By using OKRs templates, we ensure alignment at the organizational level, and through regular performance reviews, we can assess skills from multiple perspectives (self-assessment and manager’s assessment) and identify actions for future growth. It’s like putting all the pieces of a puzzle back together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nestor?

We work closely with the Nestor team and there’s nothing I would add at this point. The solution has been smooth and user-friendly, regardless of your digital proficiency. Still, for maximum adoption and regular usage, it’s important to get onboard and engage your leadership team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?

For us, as an organization was very important to give people from the very beginning clarity about their performance expectations and about the skills and behaviors that can help them achieve their goals and lead them forward. We see performance and skills as two interconnected processes and Nestor has been a game changer in this direction.

Nestor helped us achieve a granular view of the workforce capabilities we already have in place, identify gaps, and track performance through a very practical and structured approach. The OKRs tracking options are highly customizable and keep our teams motivated while giving them visibility and empowering them to work together toward a common goal.

Still, helping employees grow and develop their skills along the process is the main advantage we get as an organization by using Nestor. Our efforts to build a high-performing organization are doubled by our constant interest in supporting people to expand their skills, knowledge and develop their careers. And Nestor has proved to be the perfect solution to help us achieve this strategic goal.

Nevertheless, the constant support from the Nestor team and its intuitive interface has led to a smooth implementation of the system and high adoption among the employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Planning for skills has never been easier"

5/5

What do you like best about Nestor?

The comprehensive skills library and the integrated development framework.

The level of configuration and customization, included some small details we needed in the skills framework.

The skills mapping functionality is very useful for employees to manage role expectations.

The possibility for our managers to help their direct reports grow in the company and collaborate on growth plans.

Setting and tracking OKRs and aligning company goals with employee initiatives.

Reporting and high data granularity when using filters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nestor?

There is nothing to complain yet. I will review this area in a few months maybe.

The customer support is excellent. The product team at Nestor considers the feedback received from their customers. This adds a lot to the customer experience, we even had a request delivered and this shows profesionalism and care for their customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?

Enhanced visibility over the skills we have in the company and how we can better allocate them.

The quarterly skills gap analysis that is run across the organization is done using Nestor.

Every employee in the company has a development plan and plan for future growth together with their manager.

Identifying the availability of a needed skill based on data saves time and potential recruiting costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nice platform for tracking skills and help with career development"

5/5

What do you like best about Nestor?

We use the Nestor platform for performance reviews to track objectives and for people development journeys in our company.

The feature I like the most is the interactive profile where I can add my skills, evaluate them and keep track of my evolution over time.

Searching for other people’s skills in the company is something that inspires me and makes me curious.

Asking for a meeting with my manager is easy to setup and after the meeting we can document it.

The feedback forms are intuitive.

The team at Nestor is very responsive if we have questions or we need help in using the platform. I like the fact that they are open to feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nestor?

Before Nestor we used to share the feedback in emails. It would be great if the platform could collect the feedback from email as well.

When creating objectives, a draft mode would be useful.

It would be nice to have a summary email every week with the progress of our entire team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?

Since using Nestor, I have recurring meetings with my manager and this is something that keeps me accountable for the initiatives I take to develop my skills. My bi-annual growth plan is constantly updated and this makes me happy because I’m more focused on doing small steps towards my development. I can document all my actions, including trainings or courses.

Receiving feedback from my peers and from my manager is helpful.

Nestor keeps all the information organized and in one single place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent platform for agile teams to drive a culture focused on results, customer service &learning"

5/5

What do you like best about Nestor?

Overall, the platform looks nice, modern interface and a good user experience. Our team understood the concepts rapidly after just one onboarding webinar.

- it’s great that we can track skills and competencies and we can also link behaviors that we review them on a monthly basis

- the KPI tracking is very nice, with colored dashboards and progress

- the high level of customization

- performance reviews pull a summary for the entire activity, which is time saving for a manager

- the employee skills profiles and the fact that they are linked to the roles and their recommended skills

- one-on-one meetings that can be setup with my direct reports

- interactive dashboards Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nestor?

The support team handles some of the configurations for you and this could be open to administrators.

For the cascaded goals some of the data could be averaged or summed up by default.

Dashboards need a bigger screen for you to be able to make decisions, using your mobile for this is not ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?

The most important thing for me as a sales manager is that I don’t have to enter all the data. Nestor does a good job in making people accountable for their work and the fact that they adopted the idea of regular checkins.

The dashboards are interactive and this makes my job easier when making decisions.

Reviews are just a formality now, because they are 80% automatically filled and it takes less than before.

The growth plans holds people accountable for their career development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-friendly, all-in-one platform that enhances team collaboration and individual development"

5/5

What do you like best about Nestor?

I like it because we don’t use Excels anymore to track progress and some of the information we used to store in different locations we now document it in Nestor.

I have a dedicated space to manage and view my skills and Nestor shows the gaps and the history for all my activities.

The skills chart is informative.

It’s easy to set meetings with my manager or other peers.

I like the transparency over team and company goals. Seeing the objectives of other colleagues is a nice functionality.

For the OKRs, is nice to be able to customize the targets and how the data is organized when sharing updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nestor?

Nothing to add here for now, maybe I will be able to add more in the future.

Suggestions for the future: access between pages could be more linked, two-way calendar synchronization, the Slack integration is good but could use multiple channels functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nestor helps our team monitor objectives and collaborate better. Every member of our team knows that they need to do and how our actions contribute to the overall team goals.

It makes myself more aware that every month I need to checkin and share the progress with my manager and my peers.

Giving and receiving feedback on the spot becomes a good practice in our team.

Knowing my gaps on the skills compared to the job expectations is important to know how I can improve.

Having meetings every month with my manager is helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
