The drag-and-drop IDE and the data binding that Neptune provides really speeds up the development process. As a developer, I was amazed on how easy and quick it was to create such applications. Also, Neptune provide great frameworks to build mobile clients with Cordova and external APIs **What do you dislike about Neptune DXP?** As a developer, the worst part is the old IDE, that runs in SAP. It's clunky, and it must be used unfortunately to create app extensions. The WEB IDE is wonderful, but I wish it was possible to create extensions using it **What problems is Neptune DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Neptune, we are able to transform old processes and make them mobile, by creating applications that can run on portable devices and even without internet connection ### 42. But more and more we and our customers are experiencing and using the new features in the Open Edition of Neptune to build more easily and especially outside the SAP world quasi bridgeless apps and thus integrate the best of several worlds. With the very powerful API Factory within Neptune, virtually everything from the classic SAP cosmos can be exposed and connected to any source via REST API from the Open Edition. Of course, the boundaries are fluid when it is a low-code approach, but in any case, it is much easier and better to handle with Neptune. With the Open Edition and the adaptive framework, on the other hand, we see a true no-code approach, which is currently supported even more strongly and very professionally around the AI App Builder. Whether drawn "mockups" are uploaded automatically or you want to build wizard-supported from scratch apps, the classic power user or "citizen developer" will feel at home here. **What do you dislike about Neptune DXP?** Personally, however, I always see a clear demarcation up to where it makes sense to let "non-developers" develop apps - and to support this approach - and at what point it no longer makes sense for someone to invest time in something for which they are not actually deployed and responsible in the company. Installed and managed is very easy and very simple. Concerning the SAP edition, ABAP developers could realize simple applications quickly. Additional to that, it's possible to use it in a low version of SAP Netweaver (7.0) without any update. **What do you dislike about Neptune DXP?** Concerning the SAP Edition, inability to call external APIs **What problems is Neptune DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We weren't able to build a Fiori portal without upgrading our systems and/or adding hardware infrastructure. We were therefore able, thanks to Neptune DXP SAP Edition, to offer an SAP UI5 portal to our customers without any version upgrade or additional hardware. Thanks to this we have been able to offer many new applications giving access to new information and functionalities to our customers. ### 44.
