## Nectar Reviews
  ### 1. Great Rewards and Flexibility, But Reporting Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew G. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like that I can instantly reward team members for their efforts. I also like that my team can choose company swag and numerous gift cards with their earned points.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

The reporting is pretty simple and difficult to use. As a finance leader, I need to account for all these transactions and the reporting is not robust enough for what I need. I find using the platform login is difficult and annoying to get into. I avoid it as much as possible.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think employees always want to reward others for cross-function collaboration, and Managers want to reward employees for going above and beyond. This platform help with immediate recognition/reward for employees, and reinforcement of company values

  ### 2. I think Nectar is pretty great!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like the variety of activities that can earn you a reward. I find myself volunteering more in my community to earn points.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

It's kind of hard to upload picture proof of completion.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me connect with my coworkers by incentivising me to give out points each month!

  ### 3. Rewards Take Too Long to Earn, Despite Nice Coworker Shout-Out Perk

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trevor H. | Site Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

After a few years, you may earn some points that you can redeem for giving a shout-out to a coworker who’s been doing a good job.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

It takes many years before you can really get anything out of it.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing that I can think of at the moment.

  ### 4. Great Rewards and Shout-Outs, but Points Feel Too Limited

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

The rewards are great, and I really like being able to give a shout-out to a colleague.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

The point system/currency isn’t given out in sufficient amounts.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only issue I’ve noticed is that people sometimes forget to use it. On the plus side, it’s nice being able to redeem your points for gifts.

  ### 5. Easy Post Creation, But the Shoutout Feed Needs Better Filters

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like the idea of a recognition and shoutout feed. When creating a post, the UI is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

The shoutout feed is so cluttered. It would be very helpful to have more filters available, like to include/exclude birthday or anniversary announcements.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides employees to recognize not only other team members, but non-team members. It improves collaboration and connection.

  ### 6. Great Coworker Interaction, but Needs More Live Hashtags for Recognition

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick P. | Office Manager | Senior Landscape Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like the positive interaction it provides with coworkers.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I want more live hashtags to use to recognize different accomplishments!

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I probably haven't used it long enough to see all the benefits.

  ### 7. Nice for Shout-Outs, but Feels Like an Unnecessary Extra Step

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I find it to be an extra step in my job that is not necessary

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I find it to be extra work. I can send shout outs and "thank yous" without a program or incentives.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not applicable

  ### 8. Helpful Recognition Reminders, But Feels Like Another System to Monitor

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

Helpful to have reminders to recognize employees.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

Another system to track and monitor amongst other systems.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employee recognition. Nectar helps by somewhat gamifying the process through points assignment and usage.

  ### 9. Slack-Like Feel with Rewards, But a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

It feels like the Slack platform, but with rewards included.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

It took a while to figure out. Not the most intuitive platform out there.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a new hire, it’s helping me connect with colleagues who work in satellite offices or remotely.

  ### 10. Encourages Engagement but Lacks Variety

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like Nectar's ability to earn points that can be turned into swag or gift cards. It provides an incentive to provide kudos to others, which helps in enhancing employee engagement.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

It's the same people providing the same kudos to the same people each month.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nectar for providing kudos to coworkers and it provides an incentive with points that turn into swag or gift cards, enhancing employee engagement.

  ### 11. Fine concept, but I don't think it's really used as intended

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

It's nice to be able to recognize coworkers for their hard work or for helping you out with something.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I think people think it is a bit hokey. I hear a lot of jokes about how people spend their nectar points. I don't think people always use them as intended to recognize positive behavior/effort at work. It is often people just trading nectar points with one another.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't think it really helps solve any issues we have because of the way people use it. I don't think people use it to promote positive work. In some ways I think that is a good thing because then doing a good job or being a good teammate becomes transactional instead of a part of the culture.

  ### 12. Helpful for Morale, But Can Be Tricky to Use

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly S. | Teacher Assistnat, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

You can boost someone's morale if they are down.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

Sometimes it can get tricky to use. I am not sure on how to send things out by using my points

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am getting recognized.

  ### 13. Harder Code Redemption Leaves Rewards Sitting Unused

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

My favorite thing about Nectar is being able to receive rewards for hard work recognized by coworkers

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I dislike that it is suddenly harder to redeem your codes. This may be my job's fault but I can't log in to my work email outside of my work computer and I cannot access the redemption link so now I have money just sitting

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nectar is solving the problem of employees not feeling seen by giving shout outs.

  ### 14. Balanced ratio of recognition and rewards

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

Nectar allows you to receive recognition from your coworkers, supervisors and others in the company. It also allows you to receive points with this recognition that can be redeemed for real-world rewards, such as a cash payout through PayPal or gift cards that can be picked out and used at your favorite places.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

Visa gift cards can't be added to a virtual wallet to use as a payment method, can only be used for an online purchase. Sheetz isn't available to select for a reward. Locally-specific options not more available.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides the ability to give others recognition for anything, ranging from someone helping on a project to celebrating a work anniversary or birthday.

  ### 15. Easy, Fast Reward Redemption—Web Design Could Be More Colorful

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

Ways of recognizing the employees and it benefits me because I get rewards.

  ### 16. Easy to Use, Nothing to Hate

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elliot S. | BDE, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

easy to use and fast speeds when loading app

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

nothing in particular is there to dislike

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is helping work commraderie as we all compete and work together for points

  ### 17. Great for Earning Points and Sharing Shoutouts

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth S. | Assistant Principal, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

Nothing. It is a great tool! I enjoy all of the features.

  ### 18. Shout Outs Made Easy, But Limited by Employer Guidelines

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like that it allows me to give shout out and also provides recommendation to make my shout out better!

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

So far, nothing on behalf of Nectar. Just guidelines set forth by my employer.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to better shout out the people I want to thank now rather than having to wait until a once monthly meeting.

  ### 19. Nice Recognition, but the Value Feels Too Nominal

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Relations | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

It is nice to get a shout out for good work.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

The value seems very very nominal. It seems like it would take a lot of shout outs to make this worthwhile.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have only been employed for 2 months so I am not sure yet.

  ### 20. I think its fun to award people

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heidi B. | Virtual receptionist Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I think its fun to see what others send points for. My favorite reason to award my personal point is for birthdays.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I dont love that we have to use the company goals. I wish there was more reasons.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the bonus getting taxed. If we use the points for PTO they don't tax the points.

  ### 21. Easy to Use, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Textiles | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

It is easy to use and gives immediate recognition.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

It can be difficult to recognize multiple employees with different point amounts.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped increase motivation and employee attendance.

  ### 22. Nectar-It depends on your company set up if it works for everyone.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

It gives people who interact with everyone in their company a way to be acknowledged and increase reward potential.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

If you are in a department that does not have responsibilities or interactions with everyone, you will not get the opportunity to get the recognition and increase your rewards.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My opinion is that it helps staff members recognize other coworkers. It enables them to say thank you and give a reward when otherwise it may go without.

  ### 23. Nectar: A Sprinkle of Appreciation to the Inner Circle

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

The intent. Giving employee a secondary outlet to voice their appreciation for their colleagues publicly.

The Incentive. As "Love languages" go, gift giving is seen as a way to show appreciation/gratitude/support. By providing "gifts", or Nectar points in this case and is backed by research to boosting morale.

Ease of use. Yes

Ease of implementation and integration. I adapted fine to the interface.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

Post formulation. I wish there was a way to incentivize quality, genuine and thoughtful posts. If you take the time to provide a colleague a well thought out acknowledgement, that should be just as praiseworthy as the support given. Words of affirmation and acts of service are just as boosting as gift giving.

For example, writing a generic post like "@BobRoss +25 Colleagueship Thanks". Bob Ross likes happy trees, not bear branched trees. To improve moral even more encourage co-workers to give Bob a more noteworthy acknowledgement, not just a coat to cover. Therein, nourishing the branches while looking stylish in the coat. Rather than stylish but still malnourished.

I'm not saying make it harder to give points, just that it may improve impact even more to have incentives that promote higher quality acknowledgements and sentiments to their peers than just giving points.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't really see a problem of which is being solved with Nectar. It's more so a secondary way to showing appreciation to those of whom support you and keep morale high.

  ### 24. great idea, could use some tweaks

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** roslyn s. | accounting adjuster, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

i like that Nectar gives us a way to recognize each other for going above and beyond . Its a nice system for showing appreciation.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

The biggest downsize is how long it takes to accumulate enough points to equal something of real value. It can feel like the points don't add up quickly enough , and sometimes they even go to waste because they g to the waste if they aren't given out by the end of the month.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n/a

  ### 25. Reward System That Motivates with Tangible Benefits

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

Prices of 'swag' rewards, unsure if prices are set by Nectar but all items are overpriced.

An easy way to give a thank you or a shoutout at work.

  ### 26. Rewards Are Great, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

it can be boring answering the same questions over and over, i don't find it dynamic

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no sure about this question, i am not award of problems and be solving

  ### 27. Misses mark

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonnell S. | Customer Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

Easy to use. Easy to give points. Easy to get earned giftcards quickly.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

You only get 10 points per month.
Rewards take to long to earn.
Log in process takes too long.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n/a

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I think that the best thing about nectar is the informal praise that is very public.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I think that it is difficult to see what all is going on. My recommendation would be to have a way to filter out offices or being able to pin certain individuals.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are no problems that nectar solves for me.

  ### 29. It's not too difficult to use

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna W. | loan servicing specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

  ### 30. Great for morale!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I love using Nectar, because it is a nice way to encourage team members. It is easy to use, I appreciate that points are given monthly so it does not take hardly any time at all, and it builds morale.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I can't think of anything negative - I love that my organization uses this program!

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't think of any problems it is solving, but offers a unique way to incentivize employees for going above and beyond.

  ### 31. Great for Gifting Recognition, But Lacks Engagement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** G . | admin, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

i like that i am able to gift people for recognition

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

no one responds when you recognize them and i dont like the leader board, i feel like im competing for points

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

engagment/ togetherness since we are a remote workforce

  ### 32. Good idea, but has its drawbacks

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like the monthly reminders when points get added to my account and the options from which to choose from to use points other people award me.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I do not like how Nectar "forgets" my computer between each use so I have to re-verify my computer every time I attempt to log in and how money is taken out of my paycheck to cover "taxes." The benefit options I have to choose from are things I would not choose to normally buy, so I do not like to spend money from my paycheck to cover taxes.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nectar is not solving any problems.

  ### 33. I'm satisfied with Nectar

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cathleen L. | Customer Service Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

To be honest, I only go into Nectar when I get notified there is a reward or if I want to send a reward

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

Downside is that 10 points is a dollar so rather than go in and grab that incentive, I try to let it build a bit before going thru the trouble to go in and redeem it.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None that I know of

  ### 34. The system has a slightly steep initial learning curve, but easy to use afterwards

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frederick B. | Specialty Servicing Account Relations Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

The customer service at nectar was phenomenal when I was having an issue getting a giftcard.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I dislike the notifications sent to my email about my coworkers, as I don't know any of them, so I have no basis on which to award points to them

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have no idea, as I just use the few points i receive to get gift cards.

  ### 35. Nectar is good for morale.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like giving shout outs to people, it's a nice way to say thank you.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I forget to use Nectar and lose my points.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nectar doesn't solve any problems for me, it's just a fun thing to do to recognize a co-worker.

  ### 36. Nectar Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like that I can give a reward to my coworkers for a job well done. I like that points that you are awarded don't expire.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

When I first started using Nectar I was told that your points expired and would use a small amount of points for small items. I didn't understand how I would ever be able to get a larger reward until I accidentally didn't use mine one month.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we are a virtual school, we do not get to have staff get togethers. Nectar helps to bridge some of that gap.

  ### 37. Fun Point-Sending Feature, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

Getting to send my friends points for being awesome at their jobs

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

That the gifs do not populate when I am searching and I just have to HOPE I am choosing an appropriate one.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

employee recognition.

  ### 38. Not easy to earn

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela G. | Advocate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I enjoy that you can exchange points for gift cards.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I dislike how hard it is to get points when you work from home

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not applicable

  ### 39. I use Nectar because my company uses it to incentivise us.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudia L. | Office Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

Easy way to reward my colleagues for a job well done.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

Difficult to use gift cards that are only electronic.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves the issue of employees giving other employees the recognition they deserve.

  ### 40. Easy to use & actually fun

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Individual & Family Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I really like using Nectar--it makes shouting people out feel natural and not forced. Super easy to use, and it's actually kinda fun to see what everyone's recognizing each other for. The rewards are a nice touch too. Overall, it just makes work feel a little more connected, which I appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

One thing I've noticed is if you're not getting recognized by your team, there's not really another way to earn points--which can be discouraging. It might be cool if Nectar could check in with people who haven't gotten recognition in a while and just say, "Hey, we see you--thank you for your hard work." Little things like that can really go a long way. Also, the Amazon gift tab could use a little glow-up. Some prices are kinda steep, and the reward options are... interesting. I mean, if you've been grinding all quarter and your big prize is a cyan toner cartridge--that's a plot twist I wasn't ready for.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's made team recognition feel way more consistent and effortless. Nectar makes it easy to give people props in the moment. It really helps the team feel more connected, even when we are remote. It just adds some good energy to the workday.

**Official Response from Ian Elmer:**

> Thanks so much for the feedback. Managers do in fact see who is and isn't receiving feedback so they can do just as you said. We think its a critical feature.

  ### 41. Shout Outs are fun but...

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

Shoutouts are fun to leave for coworkers.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

The value of points is very low and takes quite some time to even have enough points for a $10 gift card.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems being solved. A monthly recognition or two but value of points is so little.

  ### 42. Flexible Rewards, But High Point Threshold for Gift Cards

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

that you can use rewards at diff locations

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

it takes alot of nectar points to get to enough for a gift card

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it helps with recognizing employees

  ### 43. Great for Recognition, But Needs a More User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I enjoy being able to recognize coworkers when going above and beyond

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I wish the site was a bit more user friendly

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A

  ### 44. Social kudos

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

simple to use and makes peoples efforts visible

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

find it difficult to give points because i do not have any direct reports - i do get assistance from our departments staff but it feels uneven to recognize one person one month while leaving out someone who helped previously

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it does make it easy to recognize contributions across departments not just within direct teams which is how typical recognition programs operate

  ### 45. So far, so good!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I think the biggest benefit I've seen with Nectar so far is the effect that it has on team dynamics. It's been a great way to show appreciation among coworkers that goes beyond the norm and actually carries over its value into the real world outside of work.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

I have yet to notice any downsides with Nectar, although I do think it's user interface could be more intuitive and visually appealing.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nectar is solving problems that tend to appear in many workplaces in the form of employees feeling unnoticed/undervalued or a general lack of camaraderie.

  ### 46. Employer incentive.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

It is very easy to use and give shout outs to coworkers.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

It feels like a popularity contest most days.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A

  ### 47. Newer Employee a lot going on,

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like the idea of creating incentives for employees to perform & helps them build comradery

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

Does seem to incentivize sending points to higher ups to gain favor with supervisors / upper management, rather than benefitting newer employees. It can be slow to login/load at time.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not currently solving problems for me

  ### 48. Not always easy to submit reviews. Rewards hardly worth the effort.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** EileenC C. | QA specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

Encouragement. Assessable from home page

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

Not always easy to submit reviews. Rewards hardly worth the effort.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 49. It's fine I guess

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

It's better than the nothing we had before.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

Point to cents conversion - it's so low getting certain "awards" is almost insulting, a company would have to give 100 points minimum to be worth anything real.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I guess getting a dollar for going above and beyond is better than a "kudos"

  ### 50. Platform not user friendly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Nectar?**

I like the ability to recognize peers for achievements.

**What do you dislike about Nectar?**

In my opinion, the platform is not user friendly.

**What problems is Nectar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None
