However, from a professional performance standpoint, I have noticed that bulk INSERT and DELETE functions are not as highly optimized or performant as other competing enterprise tools on the market when handling large datasets. The user interface is exceptionally intuitive. The administrative functions are well-designed, not overly complex, and strictly follow the industry standard, which shortened my team's onboarding curve. Its native support for all major relational and non-relational databases on the market allows us to centralize our operations in a single pane of glass. However, there are a few professional constraints that affect daily productivity. First, the macOS version contains a persistent bug that randomly prevents the automatic completion of table and column names while writing queries—a major bottleneck for developers. I have already opened a formal support ticket regarding this autocomplete bug but have not yet received a technical response. Second, the platform lacks modern AI-powered functions to assist with automated query writing, optimization, or error debugging; Navicat currently does not feature AI integration, which lags behind today's market standards. Navicat 17 is a one stop tool to do everything and anything you need to do with a database. From MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQLite to numerous cloud databases. There truly is no other tool that compares. I have been a very long time user of Navicat. Every release gets better and better. Believe me, I have try pretty much every DB manager out there and Navicat is hands down the best and easiest to work with. One of the first benefits is that it does not matter what platform you are on. Whether it be Windows, macOS, or Linux, Navicat Premium 17 is available for all of them. With this Major release also comes a brand new design that improves usability and accessibility. The GUI interface is clean and extremely intuitive. You could easily just dive right in and start using it without have to read a single page of the manual. I really like the Data Generator. One of the problems with creating a database from the ground up is having real data to test with. With Navicat 17, the problem is solved. Navicat also comes with a built-in Chart Generator. What is great about this is that it connects to any data source. Excel, Access, or ODBC, it doesn't matter. Chart generation works for all of them. Whether you use Navicat from home or the office, the Connection Profile lets you create any number of profiles each with their own settings. Once you connect to your chosen data source, Navicat's new filtering feature allows you to easily drill down through your data to get exactly the information you want. Another great feature of Navicat is the Query Builder. This is something I find myself using quite often when creating complex queries. In a single window you can create and run your query. The summary tab provides detailed summary when you run your query. There are so many other features one could write a book on Navicat. With only few clicks you can edit and commit changes to the database. This is its strongest side. In addition to this, Navicat easily integrates itself with almost any SQL applications. My formal programming and database management training dates back to the early 90s and I used very little of those skills for many years following university. In 2014 I took on the management/development responsibility of a not for a profit website. Needless to say I was more than rusty and the search began for a tool that was easy enough for a beginner and still powerful enough for advance DB management. In 2015 I found Navicat and my life went from sinking fast to success over night. There was nothing like it at the time and bet there still is not. I haven’t looked elsewhere as there is no need. In less than an hour I was set up and had fixed problems in that evening that would take days without this great tool. It was so easy to use I almost couldn’t believe how fast I could fix things and I found myself going to the site to verify things were corrected. They were. I had to move our site several times since then and Navicat made that process very easy as you can open several databases on many servers at the same time and work between them seamlessly. I use Navicat almost daily now for everything from backups to table maintenance and everything between. The design is professional and logical, being able to filter records with ease is great and the additional tools are make like a whole lot easier. Especially the Server Monitor. Taking the time to explore Navicat and learning it's shortcuts adds to the experience. You can also create direct procedures in the database to be executed later from another programming language to perform a specific task.
