We only get reinbursement payments once a week and it usually takes a day or two from when Navan sends the reinbursement funds for them to register in my bank. I know this isn't something fully on their end but would be awesome if that transaction was more instant and I didn't have to wait until every Monday for funds to be reinbursed. Some configurations are inconsistent between different types of policy (discretionary, on trip, off trip, etc.). There are too many notifications for approvers, and it doesn’t seem possible to configure them properly. It’s also not possible to set up validation steps: the primary and secondary approvers are notified at the same time, but my CEO wants me to review her team’s expenses before she does. I really like how Navan keeps the booking process clear and easy to understand. It lets me browse and filter to find exactly what I need, like near location, free breakfast, and free parking. Plus, I can easily compare costs with competitive hotels and read reviews right on the platform. Another feature I love is the customer support chat; anytime I have questions or concerns, there's always an agent ready to help, which makes Navan stand out from the rest. I think the largest issue I have had with Navan is with getting the Credit Card Authorization form to be recognized and processed by the hotel before the guest arrives to check in. There have been many instances where I book for a client via Navan Liquid Expense card for CCA, and the guest's personal card gets charged instead. This affects our professional image with prospective clients, as they expect no issues with check-in. Resolving this, even with Navan's helpful support, sometimes takes over a month of back-and-forth with the hotel. I think one way this can be improved is if Navan had some formal relationship with hotels to ensure CCA forms are acknowledged and checked before guest arrivals, as support mentioned that some hotels don't seem to check for these forms even though they receive emails for them.
