## Navan (Formerly TripActions) Reviews
  ### 1. Higher Prices, Limited Options, and Unhelpful Support

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I like that I can see everyone's itineraries in one place

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Costs of flights and hotels are often higher than booking directly, and there are times that not all flights or hotels are available through Navan. They also offer hotels through other discount sites (Expedia, Hotels.com, etc) which are frequently non refundable. We are charged a $30 fee for every trip, but the admins end up doing all of the research and work. It is hard to get assistance from Navan support staff, and when we do, it is frequently rescheduled, or we are told that it must be something we are doing wrong but not offering any help or guidance

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this time, it is more of a hurdle than a benefit.

  ### 2. Event Feature Shines, Setup and Support Need Work

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabio G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I appreciate how Navan (Formerly TripActions) helps secure flights and accommodations for me and my employees. The event feature stands out to me, although it needs a bit of tweaking. It’s really helpful for organizing large group flights, especially since we do a lot of group trips as a company.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

customer service, the speed at which problems/bugs are resolved, sense of urgency from account management, overall customer experience, the painful initial setup, and the booking feature not working. The team assigned does not seem interested in doing business with us, lacks interest in proactively solving issues.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan helps secure flights and accommodations for employees and organizes large group trips, though the booking feature has issues and not timefuly address creating a poor experience.

  ### 3. Great UI and Ease of Use, But Disappointing On The Ground Experience

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Ease of use, UI/UX. There's a wide array of options to choose from but I believe they're not particularly vetted to suit multicultural Business Traveller needs.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I had a very unpleasant experience at Keavan's Port Hotel, primarily because of the actions of one Duty Manager. The situation escalated to the point where I had to involve the police that night to address the issue with this individual.

I have already posted a detailed review on Google Maps describing what happened, and I am now following up with the J D Wetherspoon Group to request an internal investigation. If necessary, I am prepared to make a formal police complaint with my lawyers.

While people may hold personal prejudices against certain nationalities, such attitudes have no place in a professional environment, especially when dealing with business travellers in a diverse, multicultural city. Sadly, this kind of behaviour seems to be becoming more common in Dublin these days.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has definitely made our travel bookings much more efficient.

  ### 4. Inflexible options- not user friendly

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Transport and accommodation in one place

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Clunky technology meaning that you have to start your entire search again if you only want to postpone your train by a few hours.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me raising expenses for travel

  ### 5. Smooth Setup, but Limited Rewards

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** andres T.

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I like that with Navan (Formerly TripActions), I don't have to handle my expenses separately, which makes things simpler for me. Also, setting it up was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I don't get the points for the car rental, hotel, or flights to my personal accounts.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that I don't have to do my expenses separately.

  ### 6. Traveling made easy ?

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John S. | Regional Sales Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

If you have an easy trip, there is no issue. If you have to change/modify or adjust than the process becomes very difficult

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Difficult with anything special, and wait times for customer service are very long

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was easier before

  ### 7. High Flight Prices and Extra Fees Diminish Booking Convenience

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It's easy to control group book and set restrictions

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The prices of flights are much higher than buying elsewhere, plus there is an extra fee for all bookings.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Travel management/booking

  ### 8. Good for company travel, but not personal.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle I. | Business Development Coordinator, Utilities, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I can understand why my company wants to use a service like Navan. I like a one-stop shop when booking accommodations for work travel.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

We are encouraged to use it for personal travel, but the prices are not competitive. I have not used it for personal travel as I have always found my own bookings to be cheaper.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is company mandated.

  ### 9. Avoid if you can

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I haven't really found anything to commend it

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Unreliable - often fails to complete a transaction, or completes without confirmation (which is even worse)
Unable to modify a booking once it's made - making it hard to use in real-life situations.
Customer support via chat is remarkably slow (I downloaded an airline's app, created an account, made a booking and paid for it - all in less time than it took to get a first response from support)
Often more expensive than booking directly
Usually much slower than booking directly
Unable to integrate bookings outside of Navan (unlike, for example, Tripit / Concur)

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not solving old problems, but it has created a whole raft of new ones.

  ### 10. It's good but I've seen/used better

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aurelian Z. | Embedded Linux Software Developer (Networking - Linux Embedded, C++), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It has a web application as well as a phone app. Both present the same information, but in proper ways for each device.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I had issues when trying to visualize the plane ticket details. I had issues when trying to visualize the hotel details.
I had issues with the hotel payment, maybe here there might be a company policy issue, but still, it wasn't clear when the payment was going to be performed.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't know, for me was the first time using it.

  ### 11. Mediocre product at its best, exasperating at its worst

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Easy to login.

Not much else.

Negotiated discounts.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Terrible interface for changing flights, choosing seats and making quick decisions on par with the sites of airlines and hotels themselves.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business travel

  ### 12. Needs Development

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marian G. | Head of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The business travel platform is very good for domestic travel. It simplifies our travel policy.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The expense management solution needs a lot of development

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A single travel, expense & spend solution, better control and visibility into spend proactively, less manager interaction and increase policy compliance

  ### 13. Amazingly just OK.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I love how easy it is to onboard new users and get them to start booking travel and tracking expenses. It is very easy to book travel, and very easy to use the website as well as the App. I like that as an admin I can see all the details about when/where my team is going.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

- Terrible support team, does not answer support tickets (I have tickets from 6 months ago that they are still "Working on")
- Along with support, my company is not able to send reimbursements through Navan, which was a large selling point, and support cannot assist to resolve his issue.
- Travel expenses do not always show actual recipts, but rather just estimates. This is an issue when the estimate says one amount but the charge was higher. This happens often (2-3 tmes per month) and then we have to contact the hotel, car, flight, and wait for actual invoices. Not a huge deal, but very annoying when needing to submit expense reports and ivnoices are not adding up.
- Canceled flights do not always cancel, we havent been charged, but we get notifications to "Check in", when to board, what carousel our bags are at, etc. but we canceled our flight, so we shouldn't be getting these notifications.
- On multiple accounts, our membership status was not acknowledged and when we asked, the vendor said our account was not attched to the booking, however Navan says "It should have been". Ultimately we did recieve the miles, points, etc. but the perks of having status were not acknowledged. For example, as a Hertz Gold member, typically at check in, members skip the main counter, but because my account was not attached, I had to wait in the hour plus line. As petty as that is, I spend alot of time traveling, so those perks are very nice to not have to deal with, but with Navan, I might as well not have perks. I now book Hertz and other accounts seperate off of Navan, which forgoes the benifit that Navan is supposed to be an al in one travel system.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are now able to have most bookings from all team members in one place. We can now see when/where team members are going, and can usually recieve invoices for travel on our own without the employees needing to send us travel invoices.

  ### 14. Doesn't work as well as it looks, not always

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diogo N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Clean design. How easy it was to receive the travel debit card at home.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Example 1: I have to expense something. The merchant (MoonPay) doesn't exist in the autocomplete. First, we are paying for your service and we don't even appear in the least of merchants... harsh, but anyway. I manually add MoonPay as a merchant. Second, I expense another thing, search for MoonPay, doesn't exist again. So what was the point of adding the merchant before??
Example 2: Create a new expense, select Country of transaction, mark it as having no tax, submit. I don't see any error and the page auto-scrolls up to the "no tax" area. I'm confused, I submit again, no error, same behaviour. Nothing is red, I can't know what's wrong. You're lucky I'm a software tester, so I investigate. I change Tax type to "No specified rate" and type "0.00" as the amount of tax, to simulate what I had selected before. Submit, same behaviour, but this time I notice the 0.00 is highlighted in red, but doesn't say why. So I type 0.01, submit and it works. Now tell me, how would a normal user solve this problem? This is just poorly tested software.
tl;dr Before Navan we used Expensify and I miss it. It didn't look as good as Navan, but it worked, always. And at the end of the day, functionality wins design. What's the point of something pretty that doesn't work? I try to use your product as little as possible, it's a source of constant frustration.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Submit expenses, get them approved by my manager, and get reimbursed. That's the only reason why I used it. I don't travel so I don't use the other features. When I was at an offsite I couldn't use the Navan card, because apparently I was not in a trip, or the system thought I wasn't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  ### 15. Inflated Prices, Clunky Interface

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Not much - I suppose at the end of the day it does allow me to book and manage travel autonomously.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

My biggest gripe is the inflated price of airfare. For example, when attempting to change a flight recently I found one that cost $1,300 on the airline's website. It was priced at $2,400 on Navan however. And that was allegedly included no change fee and the cost of the originaly flight. Also, the interface is clunky and unintuitive.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I suppose it technically does allow me to book and maange travel without needing the helkp of any third party.

  ### 16. Very basic functions for expenses don't work right

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | I, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Simple and straightforward UI. Ability to email receipts into expense reports.

Automation of expense policies is kinda nice -- but the way it applies to credit card merchant categories is too broad (it doesn't actually work as intended in about half of our cases, so we had to undo them).

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I manage a purchasing card for my dept. Charges that come into that card need to be recoded to different GLs/accounts sometimes (a very normal thing). For over a year now, when I recode those fields, the UI accepts them with a little checkmark. But when I leave the page, it loses the changes. It will NOT let me change them.

This results in Accounting having to change it in our ERP system at the end of every month, after asking me where each charge should go. This is very painful and manual. I have had a ticket open for quite some months now and Support is unable to help... they are waiting on the product team to prioritize. I have not heard from them in 60+ days now.

Be careful with this newcomer on the scene - if something doesn't work right, Navan does not have your back.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Travel planning & expense management. It kind of removes the need for expense reports, but everyone still has to file receipts (so it really doesn't - you still need to file /something/ for the expense).

  ### 17. Clunky system for business expenses

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The website looks nice but prioritizes form over function. I like that it offers the ability to look at flight and hotel prices from multiple places on one platform.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I do not like having to wait for business expenses to be reimbursed. Previously I had a business card to put all my transactions on. For example, last year I needed a flight to London and a hotel for 10 days. If this was put on my personal card, this would have been close to my limit, plus having to wait the time for reimbursement. I also had problems with the mobile app not linking to my account the first few times I launched it. I had to

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company forced the switched so actually it made things slightly more complicated for me. I do not have an expense card anymore, and now am forces to put business expenses on my personal credit cards to get reimbursed later.

  ### 18. would only recommend to someone I'm trying to sabotage

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** C C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

- Being able to book your flight and hotel in one place
- Filtering hotel options by saved location (i.e. you can order hotel options by how close they are to the office you are traveling to)
- Built-in budget limits

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

- I booked a hotel through Navan only to find out from the hotel itself that they were fully booked and could not honor my reservation. And I only found out they were fully booked because I called the hotel to ask if I could drop off my bags early. In other words, if I hadn't called -- I would've gotten there and discovered I had no place to go!
- The hotel had been "non-refundable" so they couldn't even cancel the charge. They told me to call Expedia. No idea how Expedia is related to Navan but I had a meeting to attend and couldn't spend another hour in the morning dealing with this.
- I contacted Navan customer service. Their chat function is HORRIBLE. I typed out my problem 3 different times to some shitty automated response. Finally, I reached an actual person (I think) who couldn't even solve my problem. And then their chat feature failed, so they charged me $25 for talking to the person who couldn't even fix my problem because of an issue with THEIR OWN chat function.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They're trying to make business travel easier by letting you book everything in one place. I would rather just book travel on my own after my terrible experience with them. Maybe instead of going through a whole rebranding, you actually make your service better and easier to use.

  ### 19. Could be better..

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It's a clean and pleasing interface - easy to get around and find what you need. Hotel options are decent.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It's very tricky to find out what kind of flight to buy - we try to encourage our team to buy not-refundable but where you get a credit, at least, if you need to cancel. This is not easy to find out so often we have people either buying 'basic' where you get nothing or 'refundable' which are $$$ and not needed. This NEEDS to be more obvious as it does affect our budget and gets confusing. CS is also very hit or miss, my team has said they get differing answers depending on who they ask.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need an easy travel management interface that all our teams can understand and, ideally, use by themselves without leaning on the EAs. I don't think it's quite there yet but I do like the rebrand.

  ### 20. Easy and convenient for the features, but the support is seriously lacking

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I love that it is easy and convenient to compare flights and access expensing from your phone.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

You cannot cancel and rebook flights, rentals, or hotels without having to make, approve, and pay for another trip proposal. The support is actively available but I would say they only know what they're talking about 1/3 of the time. They also make promises to follow up on things or send you stuff and they just never do. They once just didn't book a flight that we booked over a month prior because they weren't sure if we wanted to use a credit or not (they said if we didn't respond in 24 hours they would just book the flight), when pressed about it they refused to do anything and said that there was nothing they could help us with or offer us and even tried blaming it on US for not following up with the COMPANY to make sure the flight was booked. I have had experiences 3 separate times where a support assistant promised to follow up or send me something and they just never did. I would not recommend them.

**Recommendations to others considering Navan (Formerly TripActions):**

N/A

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows quick and easy access to all flights within one airport and filtering options are great.

  ### 21. Navan is an easy to use travel booking software that meets our needs

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nelson T. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Navan is straightforward to use. Specifically, I find the approval submission process a nice-to-have as it removes extra administrative work. The layout was easy to follow, and the checkout process was painless.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Most of the time, the prices tend to be higher than booking directly with airlines. Integration with expenses platforms can be better (there is often a lag and it wasn't clear when invoices are sent over)

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan could be a one-stop shop for all corporate travel in the company, and it will submit expenses automatically for reimbursement, streamlining the often tedious travel expenses experience.

  ### 22. Buggy Application

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beccy O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Payment of expenses and fuel is extremely quick and efficient. Now Liquid and Tripactions is all in the one (Navan) app it is easier.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

There are bugs, especially when loading a saved photo of a receipt and the app will freeze randomly or not save so an expense that was thought to be submitted will no have been.
Booking fee for hotels is very high when cancellation is free. Should be variable depending on time left to stay. Automatic upload of hotel invoice would be a nice feature.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quicker and easier expense submission means less likely to miss or have a lot to do following a trip. This saves my time and admin.

  ### 23. Hit or miss and unreliable is the last thing you want when it comes to travel planning

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The user interface is easy to navigate and you can get some decent perks, e.g. Amazon rewards.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The only thing consistent about the platform is how inconsistent it is -- from the customer service to airline/hotel points being properly credited, I never know what kind of an experience I'm going to have booking travel on Navan.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan has consolidated our company travel to one place and made it easier to monitor spending, which ensures our teams stay within budget while traveling.

  ### 24. There are areas of improvement: Expensive cost of Hotel & Flights with no additional benefits

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rushab M. | Professional Services Leader - India, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

TripActions is a single platform for booking Flights, Hotel and Car booking which is the best thing as you do not have to toggle between multiple systems and it plans well.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

TripAction Hotel options in India are very expensive compared to other options through google search. Also for flights you dont get corporate meals (which is basic) + you cannot modify or reschedule the flights at the last moment when business demands. I had to pay twice with no option to cancel.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My role is in Services Sales which requires heavy travelling and this is amongst the critical solutions in Elastic. It needs to be flexible, reliable and comfortable.

  ### 25. Fine for business. Terrible experience for personal travel. Horrible customer service

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Using TripActions to book business trips is very easy

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The app also offers the ability to book a personal trip alongside a business trip (for example to bring someone else with me or stay extra), or to just book personal trips. These can go well, but there are a lot of hidden business logic around personal profiles and personal trips that it seems even all customer service agents are not aware of. This can cause problems for trips and when you are trying to book trips where prices are increasing all the time, or seats are limited, that along with their incredibly slow customer service (after being connected to an agent, it always takes at least 15-20 minutes just for them to read your profile before getting to the problem. I know because I have had to deal with the customer service 4 times now, 2 on live chat, 2 on the phone).
Because of this I have lots hundreds of dollars in increased price because of days wasted talking to CS agents who have clearly not been enabled enough by the organization

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy business trip booking and expensing. The benefit from the user side is simple usage that tells me what is in my policy budget

  ### 26. Slow, inaccurate, not transparent, and not particularly well-priced

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The app itself is intuitive, both on the web and on IOS.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The pricing it delivers is often above what can be priced directly. For utterly changeable flights (like on Southwest) the app might say "To change or cancel your flight, wait for an hour and then try again." for hours. Or you might manage to change your flight after reaching a CSR by phone, but your Navan record won't update without calling them again.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The app stores what I need for business travel and expenses but does not always work well.

  ### 27. Usually easy but lots of troubleshooting issues & no follow up

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I like that for the most part it's a seamless process integrating with our internal T&E system and i don't have to submit flights etc for reimbursement and it automatically selects the best flight/hotel option.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I have had a lot of issues with the ability to create a new trip and then actually book on that trip. I tried resubmitting the trip and my manager reapproved it 3 additional times to no avail.Whenever I clicked 'book on this trip' it then didn't show that trip as an option anymore and I had to map the current trip to my old (Q3) trip. I did multiple phone calls and chats about this. Created a case. No one ever even followed up with me.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's not solving much to be honest.

  ### 28. Good hotels, mediocre flights

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaiah C. | National Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I can use it for business or personal use. It is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I often have to travel on non-direct flights, and I cannot download a final receipt from the app.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It tracks and books my trips in one place.

  ### 29. No Room For Margin

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

You can scan a receipt and have it autofill the required fields.
It has a mobile app as well well as a web login.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Thresholds on the expenses are dictated by policy so sometimes you don't get fully reimbursed even though you have justification.
Sometimes when it scans the receipts it doesn't recognize the supplier.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allowed me to now have a company credit card whereas before I was not entitled to one. I no longer have to carry the expenses and submit a reimbursement report.

  ### 30. Poor reporting and customization

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Queeny M. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The interface is easy to follow. They do have an application for the phones as well which is helpful for business users.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Lack of customer reporting and cuts of information to determine how the money is being spent and by whom.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expenses booking.

  ### 31. Liquid is a Mess

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I don't use TripActions for any of their travel-side features, and I don't have a "TripActions Card," so there are many features that look pretty good that I just don't use.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The expense management portion of their app is a mess.

To add an expense from a credit card, I have to scroll through my accounts individually. There is no search feature. I cannot tell if I have already added a transaction or not. I cannot add more than one expense at a time, and I have to restart the process for each transaction.

In short, the process of adding an expense is cumbersome and unfriendly. It's frustrating that we gave up Expensify, which solved all of these problems thoroughly, in favor of this far more limited tool.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expense management and reimbursement.

  ### 32. Sometimes the price is not what it says it is going to be before I book. Must book 2 weeks out,

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The rewards That is the only thing I like

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Sometimes the money and points don't match when you get to the booking. 2weeks out is not good

**Recommendations to others considering Navan (Formerly TripActions):**

Would not recommend

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rewards I can get cheaper rooms

  ### 33. Disappointed in rebooking canceled flights with airline credits

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I like the fact that with one button I can send receipts to Expensify.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The process of canceling flights (made for my husband and I last year) resulted in receiving 2 credits under my name only. I was not able to use the credits for another trip for my husband and me. I even got someone involved via Chat, but she was also not able to help me. That is very disappointing. I've had other misses with Cancellations and using credits. You need to up your game where cancellations are involved. It's way too difficult for busy people who don't have the 1 + hour it took via chat to discover that the credits weren't usable.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All business travel goes through TripActions per Delphix. I will not use it for personal travel again.

  ### 34. Easy but SO expensive

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The convenience of booking through my company card!

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The service fees add on a crazy amount of money that could easily be saved by booking through another site...

**Recommendations to others considering Navan (Formerly TripActions):**

Decrease fees AND get more competitive pricing please

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to book through my company's credit card and not having to expense it afterwards

  ### 35. Decent for search, but beware hidden costs

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Tripactions makes it easy to search through travel options, and flags when something is outside my company's travel policy. When things go wrong, their staff are available over chat so it's easy to multitask (on web or mobile app). Exporting to Expensify is easy. Also the rules engine makes it easy to add rules for common expenses I encounter.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I've made the mistake of booking an inflexible Booking.com rate which didn't give me points. It wasn't so clear when I originally booked, but I haven't made that mistake again since

Be careful when using Tripactions for personal trips. Recently, I found that 'resort fees' are not listed when comparing prices. This quickly turned a cheap night's stay ($100) into a $140 per night stay. Apparently there is a generic warning listed out in the confirmation email, but that's not helpful if you've booked a non-refundable fare.

**Recommendations to others considering Navan (Formerly TripActions):**

Be careful of resort fees

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before COVID, I travelled most weeks. I wanted to be able to book business travel quickly and easily, keep track of my upcoming reservations and get them to our expense system. All of that is easy with Tripactons, which saves me time

  ### 36. Great service 24/7

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The app offers a good trip planning and overview

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

some flight/Train line are not available in Europe.

**Recommendations to others considering Navan (Formerly TripActions):**

book EU trips from an EU-account. Prices will be cheaper.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All coming from 1 Hand + Finance Reports

  ### 37. Miscommunications

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I like being able to just book my work trips on my own and the chat service is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I had an experience recently when I went on the site to casually browse hotels and saw a message that my card was declined; I never received an email about this and when I went through the issue with the CS person, they ended up backtracking and telling me my flight was fine. This was alarming as I would have gone to the airport unaware that my flight hadn't been ticketed.

**Recommendations to others considering Navan (Formerly TripActions):**

Definitely makes booking within a large company more convenient and ultimately less expensive when plans inevitably change.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The above issue, and the few messages I've received that have nothing to do with me (I got messages about someone else's flight to Kuala Lampur) point to issues in communications with customers.

**Official Response from Samantha Sayar:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on our platform. I would be happy to connect directly, if you would please share your email, as I'd like to learn more about how to make your experience the best possible. With regard to the email you received a few weeks ago, no customer data was released and all systems are 100% secure, we do apologize for this scare.

  ### 38. Has Potential, But Unreliable

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The tool is easy to use and convenient. Integrates with Expensify.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Booked private trip through Trip Actions with guest. When attempting to check-in for flight on the day before departure, learned that guest airfare had been cancelled. Only after several hours of back and forth, TA customer service was able to book guest airfare on same flight in economy cabin though we were no longer seated together. Guest and I ended up incurring the added expense for "extra comfort" seats in order to sit together. At minimum, TA should have offered this as a small gesture. Furthermore, I've found other platforms to be more or equally cost-effective and more reliable.

**Recommendations to others considering Navan (Formerly TripActions):**

Improve reliability and customer service.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trip Actions offers convenience from a business perspective; however, only so long as it is cost-effective in comparison to other travel platforms and is reliable.

  ### 39. Great app, but lack of Delta kills it

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Decent interface, chance to earn rewards

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I suddenly stopped being able to book Delta through TripActions. With Delta as my favorite airline, not being able to book it renders the entire platform pointless for me. Having to go to Delta.com to book defeats the purpose of being able to book everything in one place, and I would rather not talk to an agent to book a flight.

**Recommendations to others considering Navan (Formerly TripActions):**

Watch out for having to book flights on Delta not TripActions

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing an easy way for employees to book travel on a centralized tool
