## Navan (Formerly TripActions) Reviews
 ### 1. Not helpful or user friendly ... Pick another platform!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nichole S. | Executive Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It is nice to be able to see where all your travelers are at any given time and easily find receipts for trip purchases.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

flights don't always show when they are available directly on airline site, customer service SUCKS! Many people in our organization call to receive help with trip changes or canceled flights rebooking and are told "There is nothing we can do about it" and our employees have to figure it out on their own. We went through implementation with more questions than answered and just told "sorry, that is just how the platform works" when told during the sales process that a function was available and it is clearly NOT! Paying $30 a trip in fees to not have any benefit from the platform. Our discount codes that we have as a company STILL have not been uploaded to their site for us to use and we have been using them for 7 months! Paying more for hotels than we should! When brought up, acted like it was OUR fault for not following up with them to get them added. How were we supposed to know that there was an issue if they didn't inform us. Our project manager canceled meetings regularly and didn't answer our questions when we emailed. When asked to explain where the "trip savings" came from they did not have an answer ... just expected to believe the dollar amount.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They were supposed to be helping us with budget and reporting, but so many people have to book off site because they don't have the flights listed that our employees need or our discount codes for hotels so we pay more on their site than booking directly. So ... NOTHING

 ### 2. Complex Setup Challenges for Large Enterprises

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Silviu P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Navan seems to have more functionality compared to the previous travel provider we used. It feels like more of a tech-first enabled platform. Somewhat user-friendly from an end-user experience standpoint (in terms of booking travel). Some useful controls and policy limits you can set to manage travel spend.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The overall implementation with Navan was quite difficult. They didn't take the proper time to understand the complexity of our business and how Navan should fit within that. They seemed to want to quickly get the implementation over with quickly based on their pre-conceived ideas, and we were overly led by them instead of them trying to understand how we operate. We ended up being pushed into a go live and having payment problems where the wrong legal entities were charged, creating a mess that could have been avoided if they took more time to understand our business properly and have the correct bank account setup from the get-go. Other examples: we were asked to provide the personal details of senior individuals for KYC purposes (e.g. their email addresses) and were repeatedly assured there would be no impact or involvement of them beyond that. Lo and behold those individuals (plus myself) then started getting bombarded by relentless invoice and statement emails when they shouldn't have been because they were set up as 'account owners' in the platform. This was incredibly annoying and took far too long to fix which ended up highlighting both system limitations (e.g. can't use our general AP mailbox address to send invoices to, which is our standard way of operating, instead they need a specific named individuals which was problematic) and poor customer service to have been put in that position and then unable to address it quickly whilst they were pissing off senior people in the business with these emails. As a result, I can't recommend Navan as a partner for large complex enterprises based on my experience.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan provides a single platform for booking travel, offers user-friendly experience, controls and policy limits for spending.

 ### 3. Distressing experience, confusion and waste of time

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Delphine D. | Senior Project Leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I don't understand how it's possible to have titles that are confusing when there are so many search and booking engines. For the first time using a system, I wondered what needed to be done at each step.
While the system, used and imposed by my company, knows which hotel was booked by colleagues for the same place and date as my trip, I had to extend the search to find the hotel (which has a note "colleagues have booked this hotel").
The system requires hierarchical validation to finalize. Except that it's not "finalize the booking" that's written. You have to "check availability." I don't know what happens if the desired room is no longer available.
Even though I followed the same procedure as my colleagues (we were leaving together, but each had to spend time making a reservation), my room was not paid for by the system. I had to pay the hotel on-site, while my colleagues had their nights prepaid.
The advantages of Navan are confusion and wasted time.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Lack of clarity in the process. Unclear titles. Complicated and non-intuitive procedures. The information that the system possesses and displays is not used ("hotel booked by colleagues on the same dates" indicated but not presented as the first result). Validation page too long (7 printed pages).

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

nothing for me. I imagine that my employer thinks they will find something there in relation to other services.

 ### 4. Buggy Booking Platform Leading to Financial Losses

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik R. | Web Developer, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

At this point nothing. The idea of booking travel through Navan is laughable

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I don't like anything about Navan. The booking experience was horrible; it was buggy and led to increases in ticket prices. I got a ticket booked eventually, but due to issues with the booking form, my ticket went up by $500 and then another $150. I was booking a flight at the same time as my colleague, and even though we picked the same flights, his booking went through, but mine failed. The support was slow and unhelpful, and eventually, I had to book a more expensive option since Navan couldn't help amend my booking. They also couldn't amend the name on the ticket, causing more delays and expenses. The user interface was buggy, with constant issues like the 'In-policy' number randomly changing. It made finding the correct flight difficult and frustrating. We had similar issues with hotel bookings, getting random errors and delays until the rooms were sold out, forcing us to book more expensive options. Navan rewards seem useless since booking directly is much cheaper. Overall, it's surprising a travel booking platform struggles so much to actually book travel.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employee travel booking

 ### 5. Disappointing Service and Unreliable Support

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I like that Navan (Formerly TripActions) contains both self-booking trips and expenses. I believe they have pretty good analytics(charts) for managers, making it easy to understand what's going on.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

They sold us on features that weren't released yet, and we had to wait half a year for something we needed urgently, also some of the features just didn't work(Slack integration and per diem in advance), even though they sold it to us. The onboarding coordinator was terrible, didn't answer questions, and pushed us to go live on their schedule with a penalty fee for delays. We weren't informed about many things before release, like users receiving notifications without app access. Security problems haven't been fixed for months, and technical support for admins was terrible. We had to contact their CEO on LinkedIn to get an invoice, and they ignored us for months but demanded immediate payment when they sent the invoice.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan streamlines trips and expenses, including self-booking options, and provides analytics that help managers understand what's going on.

 ### 6. Go for it if you want your employees to consistently face issues

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ecem I. | Senior Strategy & Operations Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nothing really, it's a terrible platform with absolutely horrible customer service, and they try to rip customers off by charging them 6-7 times higher prices for any add-ons than the actual service providers request.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Whenever I have an issue, I am let down by their policies. It's very hard to do everything in one booking as they keep looking for ways and have an extremely hard to use UI so that they can charge you the booking fee twice (EUR 7 for my company, but it adds up).

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralize corporate travel booking and implement policies that cannot be flexed. The policy indicators (and limitations if the company decides to implement them) are useful

 ### 7. Unresolved double charges -- watch out for customer support failings.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I dislike the platform overall, would not recommend it to anyone. I find that the pricing is often not in line with direct airline websites, and the hotel choices are sometimes limited.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I find that the pricing is not in line with what is directly available through either airline or other websites. The rules based pricing is often arbitrary, and changes regularly based on the cheapest options available, often leading to conflicts. I also have an unresolved dispute where I was charged twice for the same hotel room, but it has been more than 3 months of responses saying "we'll have a resolution in a few business days".

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has not benefited me at all.

 ### 8. Avoid it if possible. Cost control doesn’t need navan

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It allows you to book in one place but i can do it the same in booking platform so in short , I don’t see value

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

My membership data pass to airline for my first flight, and missing for 2nd flight .

All benefits missing and airline asked for 40usd for additional 1kg baggage - and 5kg cost more than the ticket alone…

Can you imagine I have benefits for half of my flight and then rhe second half nth.

For any traveller, what to expect in the trip is very important and this small issue shows navan immature platform and should avoid if you are not trying to piss of some senior management in the organization

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No, it does not benefit me.

 ### 9. A high-friction tool that complicates travel

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary Q. | Co-Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Not much - the system does not provide any novel functionality compared to alternatives on the market.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The system is filled with bugs:
1) Hotel cancellation showed as processed in-app but hotel vendor showed duplicate bookings and double-charged
2) Hotel options showed as available - but upon selecting, no options were available. This was tested using different computers/apps.
3) System did not process Avis rewards - loyalty number was added but did not flow to the vendor. This caused me to wait >60min in a standard line even while being a presidential club member.
4) Numerous bugs/glitches of windows/popups. Refreshing pages was needed plenty of times. Popups that explain how Navan is the easiest, most modern system were getting frozen.

Navan isnt doing anything novel. Hundreds of websites like kayak/priceline/google offer aggregation.

Tools from SAP have made the process of expense reporting seamless long before Navan.

From a front-end user after two trips in the last 30 days - i would not recommend this product.

Read Reddit - which is filled with real-world experiences, this tool is not helpful. Navan proudly exclaims a $1B valuation after hundreds of millions raised. Wouldn't it be nice if they invested some of that in the product?

Most importantly, no customer support is offered.
With tools from Amex / Concur / SAP, there is immediate support for travel challenges. Navan has a circa-2023 chatbot that is highly ineffective.
Many companies who do this well invest in chatbot training - and are closely monitored by humans. This is not Navan - couldn't get support when i needed it.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not sure - legacy tools have solved the challenges of travel management long ago. I traveled over 35 times last year with minimal friction. I began using Navan in Feb 2026 and have only had problems introduced.

 ### 10. Overpriced, Inflexible, and Disappointing

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan G. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It initially seems like a good idea—consolidating travel into one platform with an approval process. However, the appeal quickly fades once you try to make any changes or deal with customer support.

When you look at the long list of $25 booking fees, compare prices directly with airlines or hotels, or consider how few points you earn through your memberships, it becomes clear that the benefits simply don’t outweigh the drawbacks.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

This has been a terrible experience. You charge $25 per booking, yet you are not cheaper than booking directly. You offer far fewer points, and quite often I’m unable to pre-book seats with airlines, which forces me to pay out of pocket—sometimes as much as $100 each way on long-haul flights.

Overall, you provide absolutely no meaningful benefit. Over the past year of using your service, I’ve been extremely dissatisfied, and I’m actively encouraging 90% of our employees to switch to another option moving forward.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This service isn’t solving any real problems. In fact, it takes more time and ends up being far more expensive than simply going to airline or hotel websites myself and booking travel manually.

There are countless price comparison tools available today that make it easy to find the best options without paying unnecessary extra fees. Seeing repeated $25 booking charges show up on my corporate travel card is honestly a joke, especially when the pricing is often no better—and sometimes worse—than booking directly.

At this point, I genuinely don’t know anyone in our company who actually enjoys using this service. Instead of making corporate travel easier, it has added frustration, extra costs, and unnecessary complexity.

 ### 11. Recent Changes to Navan Customer Support are Causing People Trouble

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It's a travel agency, I've used many, nothing much different in terms of what features Navan provides.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Customer Service and Support
1) You've outsourced phone support. I cannot stress how much this has changed the experience for the worse for travelers. Long hold times, untrained staff, and unacceptable mistakes or gaps in knowledge are causing big problems for travelers.
2) Profile preferences aren't being observed when bookings are being made online, and then when you call Navan support to fix these mistakes, the staff doesn't know how to address the problems. I'm calling the airlines and hotels directly now to fix things. You have to fix this support problem or everyone is going to request a change in travel agency vendors.
3) No escalation path -- I'm stuck with whoever I get when I call in, and there seems to be no path to a more knowledgeable or helpful person to address the issue. Customer support has become non-existent
4) Long hold times -- I recently had to extend my stay while on travel due to severe weather in the area. I spent over 3 hours on hold on 2 different calls to sort this out. The first representative made me late for work, kept me on hold for almost 2 hours, then didn't save any of her work ... no changes were made?? I had to call back that night after work and straighten all that out all over again with another support representative. You absolutely have to respect people's time better than this.
5) Value add -- right now, there is none. I'm afraid to call Navan support. They cause me huge delays and mess my reservations up now. I'm calling airlines and hotels directly now and cutting Navan out of the loop. Fix this or your stock is heading for the tank. Customer support is really the only thing that sets a travel agency apart IMHO. Right now, I'd take any alternative ... even no travel agency ... that's how bad it has become. Plz help.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not solving any problems, it's causing extra problems actually.

 ### 12. Bad Experience :(

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinod S. | Senior Customer support engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nothing about it is user-friendly. When I booked the flight, the seats showed as confirmed, but they were never actually confirmed.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Almost everything about the experience was really bad. I lost $148 because I paid to book an extra-legroom aisle seat, but I ended up with a window seat instead, with very little legroom, because Lufthansa never confirmed that seat for me.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They never solved any of my problems. Customer care promised that I would get what I booked, but I never received it.

 ### 13. President

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Not a lot. They are a hard company to work with. I’m an executive and find myself often struggling to managed approvals and managing my teams data. What’s more, my EA lives in Navan and is always struggling with their systems and support. Changing any travel is a challenge

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Their support is unacceptable. And recently we had a security breach that went all the way up to their senior IT managers. It took an escalation to finally get real answers and understanding of the breach.

It took nearly three weeks to get any resolution or clarity around what happened. And here I am three weeks later without a travel credit card and it took two weeks to reactivate my profile and account - a real challenge given I was leaving on for two weeks to Europe on business travel wheee I had to use my personal credit card because Navan could not get me one for over three weeks.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems solving. They are managing all of our travel from credit cards to spend management to bookings and logistics.

 ### 14. Navan Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

being able to see an overview of different trips happening

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

UX (hard to find what I'm looking for), lack of customer support, not good value, often get feedback from colleagues that flights are cheaper and better elsewhere

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

overview of all flights/hotels booked by team

 ### 15. Appalling, Expensive Service That Wasted My Time and Money

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon E. | Senior Director, Quality Projects, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nothing. Appalling service end to end. Messed up the booking and wasted over half a day trying to resolve. Cost me £40 personally in seat payments. Why bother to have this when it always costs more and the service is appalling?

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nothing.
Abysmal service.
Expensive.
Non existent service.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is no perceivable benefit to Navan

 ### 16. Run away ...

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Booking a trip is quite simple, that's pretty much it on the positive ...

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Trips tend to be significantly more expensive on this platform compared to others, and booking plane tickets is particularly cumbersome.

Customizing your trip as you want is difficult, and often you have to contact the airline directly to make changes.

Tax information isn't automated either; you have to manually edit each expense, even though the necessary data could easily be extracted from the receipt. This results in much more work than with other platforms.

I regularly receive receipts in my email that I would like to forward to Navan for automatic expense assignment, but unfortunately, this feature is not available.

Additionally, the manager interface is very confusing and difficult to navigate, making it unclear what is required when reviewing expenses.

Given all these issues, I would not recommend this tool in its current form.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nanan is causing more issues than it is solving for me right now.

 ### 17. Unreliable and poorly designed

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom W. | Employee, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Probably the only feature of Navan that I find useful is the PDF itinerary (and they couldn't get that right, since it isn't actually a PDF)

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nearly every travel booking with Navan ends up with some type of failure, requiring me to spend time with support to find some workaround for this broken system.

Usability seems to be an afterthought with Navan. Due to its ill-conceived Javascript-infested design, it is difficult to open results in new tabs so that I can compare choices. Instead, I am forced to follow a single link and then click back and repeat the process for the next one. This makes everything slower and more tedious.

When I finally select the best option and begin making a reservation, something inevitably goes wrong and I get an error message indicating an integration problem between Navan and the underlying booking system. I must then contact support so that they can book it on my behalf (surprisingly, they never seem to have the ability to see what I was trying to book, so I have to look it up again and tell them flight numbers, dates, and every other detail). In this way, it consistently manages to turn a simple five-minute task into a 45-minute waste of time. The agents are attentive and helpful, though.

Finally, when I do look up flights or rooms outside of Navan, those same researvations are almost always listed at a lower price on the airline's or hotel's sites. I consider it important to be a good steward of my company's money, so it bothers me when I see what appears to be Navan overcharging us.

I have used several corporate travel booking systems in the past 15 years. None were great, but Navan has been the worst. Hopefully they will pay more attention to reliability and usability in the future.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Navan for expense reporting (which works relatively well) and travel booking (which is awful)

 ### 18. Unreliable App with Confusing Interface and Booking Limitations

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravi S. | Lead Field Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nothing that makes the app stand out in a positive manner, sadly.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

- Reliabilty and stability of the app is quite disappointing
- Too often have I experienced issue with the login or not being able to access the web app
- Unflexible when booking for colleagues from other teams with different cost centres
- Poor and misleading interface with confusing wording for options, if at all
- Cannot continue to book on the basis of drafts as modifications aren't possible

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We actually moved away from travelperk due to inflexible and glitchy interface. Sadly, Navan has turned out to be an even worse option.

 ### 19. Frustratingly rigid and inefficient platform

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro S. | Sr Customer Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nothing... there is not a value proposal compare with others.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The platform is extremely inflexible. Making any change to a booking takes far too long — sometimes hours — to the point that it’s easier to cancel and rebook from scratch, which is inefficient and costly.

For example, with AVE/RENFE in Spain, I can’t make changes either at the station or via Navan. The app claims it’s RENFE’s limitation, which isn’t true — booking directly with RENFE allows changes.

Another major pain point is flight bookings. I’m forced to book flights through Navan, but the booking details are often incomplete or incorrect. When flying to Barcelona, I frequently can’t check in online because the system either doesn’t recognize the locator or provides invalid ticket info. This results in unnecessary time wasted at airport counters.

This is, hands down, the worst travel experience I’ve had. I will only continue using it because it’s mandatory at my company, but I would never recommend it to anyone.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan is intended to centralize and control corporate travel bookings, giving managers visibility over expenses and enforcing travel policies. In theory, this should simplify processes and ensure compliance.

However, in my experience, the platform fails to deliver those benefits. Instead of solving problems, it creates new ones: it makes changes difficult or impossible, delays bookings, and forces users into inefficient workflows. While I understand the goal of centralization, the lack of flexibility and poor integration with local providers like RENFE or certain airlines significantly reduces any real benefit for me as an end user.

 ### 20. Not designed for experienced travelers using status benefits

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Receipts at times can be easy to add to expense report

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

International travel conversions always lose money due to exchange rates. Hotel cancellations spent 1000’s dollars on hotel changes Navan makes pay for cancellations when I can cancel for free if book directly through Hilton. Prices, hotels always cheaper through Hilton app. Plane upgrades and voucher usage does not exist. Make plane ticket, call airline for upgrade, if not available cancel plane reservation and try again. Fills up credit cards with plane ticket fees being retuned later. Navan is not friendly to frequent flyers and travelers with status at hotels and airlines

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing, cringe every time use product due to not getting plane upgrades and wasted fees on hotels.

 ### 21. Don't believe what you see on the Navan account

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Smirnova K. | Solutions Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Navan was provided by the company I work with, it looked like a good idea to use the points from my business trips for my personal trips, until I've booked my first (and last) personal trip.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I booked and paid for a round-trip flight 7280238 (Berlin–Antalya–Berlin) through Navan, and everything look fine on the account, but on fact only one leg of the journey appeared on the airline’s website, which I discovered by chance. Fortunately there was almost a month before the flight to solve the issue.

I contacted support repeatedly for several weeks, and despite numerous chats with different agents and empty promises of updates within 72 or 5 hours or during the day, I never received a working PNR or confirmation of both flights. Weeks later, I still have no complete itinerary, no refund, and no accountability — just blame-shifting to the airline and zero follow-through. Navan’s handling of this issue nearly ruined my vacation. I cannot recommend them to anyone relying on timely, responsible travel service.

If you're contacting their support don't forget to screenshot and save all the conversations to the text file, there's no history log on the account

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan didn't book my flight in correct manner, and when I've discovered it repeatedly misguided me about timing of the solving.

 ### 22. Hotline number very well hidden, and also not working.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel Z. | Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The flight search is with good UX, albeit slow.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I miss the hotels I need and the cheap flights I find in all other search machines. I regularly see hotel beds available but in Navan it shows booked out.
Printing a saved trip / flight is impossible - screenshot also because its soooo long. Impossible to ask for permission with alternatives.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

30% more expensive as before

 ### 23. Expensive w/o any benefits

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Booking business trips.

 ### 25. When Navan or G2 promise a giftcard: ignore them

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I needed to submit at least 40 characters.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Received an email: “Review Navan on G2 and get a giftcard.” There was no time limit on the ask but I left a review the very next day. First email after: “Your review is live.” Second email: “Your review wasn’t one of the very first ones we received, so no giftcard.” That is bad faith and disastrous CX. So I asked them about it. And: nothing. So: nothing to like about that.

 ### 26. Slow, Unhelpful, and Lacking Essential Features

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan K. | AVP, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nothing, only use because company requires.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Slow. Horrible filtering. Adds no value to user. Poor sorting. Unable to change flights or hotels easily. No ability to add external reservations to trip if done outside b/c of better rates. Better rates when going direct…should I go on…terrible product, terrible service, terrible ai automation.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing, it’s terrible.

 ### 27. Poor Customer Service and Unresolved Issues

**Reviewed by:** Lex C.

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

None

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I have found the customer service to be terrible, particularly the security team. My account was blocked for no clear reason, and I faced challenges when trying to resolve the issue because of inadequate customer support. The security team repeatedly asked the same questions, even after providing necessary documents, leading to blocked accounts without justification. Furthermore, Navan has caused more problems than it has solved. Due to these experiences, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service and the onboarding process and I do not plan to use their services again.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

 ### 28. Limited value and poor customer service

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It confirms to our policies noting what you can and can’t book

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

In the event you need to make a change to a flight or theirs is any issue at all Navans support is lacking. I flight frequently and on several occasions I had to have hour long calls/chat with their support team more or less pushing to do their job. On all occasions I had to follow up multiple times and get past several layers of support who would tell me nothing could be done only for a “manager” to do exactly what I was asking. This is particularly a problem during times of inclement weather or if you need to change a flight time. Our team has unfortunately abandoned Navan and book directly through the airlines.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Conforming with our policies

 ### 29. Zero value only hassle for employee users

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

There is not much to like. The only value is seeing arbitrary limits on travel costs but even then there is zero transparency into how they are calculated.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

From the perspective of an employee using Navan I have never been able to realize a single bit of value. Navan only makes things more difficult. Good luck if you have to bump a flight back the day of. The points system is a joke, thousands of dollars spent on travel and I get constant emails saying you have a $26 credit, take advantage now! Our entire sales team hates it and we’re forced to use it. If you want a tool that will actually be adopted, this is not it. Awful.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves no problems but causes lots of them.

 ### 30. Not User-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lalo T. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

They provide a selection of flights where it's kinda easy to pick the one you want to travel with.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The max employees policy is not obvious until you are picking a flight, which takes like 2 seconds to refresh and say you cannot flight there. Their internal systems seem old and unreliable since I faced an issue that lead me to lost my reservation, being double-charged with fees and have to travel really late because their system was trying to charge me on an old credit card that I removed prior making my reservation.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's mostly for the company I work for, since it allows them to control the flight prices and the employees allowed per flight. I'd honestly prefer to ask by myself.

 ### 31. Expensive crap

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Automatically creating nightly budgets for hotel stays

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

1) Customer service never resolves issues with flight bookings. 2) Navan doesn’t have access to all of the flights, leading to limited options and more expensive flights vs booking directly (I’m literally stirring at British Airways website asking about booking a flight, but Navan says he doesn’t see it). 3) Navan routinely splits reservations into two one way tickets instead of a round trip and doesn’t tell me - sometimes with different airlines vs keeping it with one airline and using a codeshare flight; this complicates flight changes greatly because I don’t know which airline holds the ticket 4) I am not able to use the benefits of my status when this happens and it’s a surprise when I can’t (I want to use AA miles for an upgrade, but then I’m informed that is not an AA codeshare flight with BA, it’s a direct BA ticket so my AA miles and upgrade requests don’t apply. This is the WORST surprise that shouldn’t happen but i am counting on upgrading a flight so I can get some sleep on an international flight 5) Navan flights are more expensive 80% of the time for the same itinerary vs booking directly with airlines.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I couldn’t say.

 ### 32. Poor UI, Limited Options, and Disappointing Customer Service

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Fresh platform but cannot get basics right

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Way too many bugs to utilise site properly and client account manager not interested to solve. Poor customer service and inability to book certain trips (again believed to be Hugh their system which they seemed to admit and suggest is part of working with them)

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None they are creating problems

 ### 34. It used to be good.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philippe G. | Solutions Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I'll admit, the expense side of things is good. However as a travel agency Navan clearly falls short. Their inventory is limited and constantly outdated. Flights are more expensive than through any other platform. Support is slow and can't do anything, so good luck if you run into any issue.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Customer service clearly misses expectations.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Travel and expense management. We are saving a lot of time managing expenses and reimbursement with the TripActions card which was a manual process through payroll before.

 ### 35. Beware of this service, not seeing the benefits

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The ability on paper to submit expenses in real time and automate is the draw, its just that I see zero time savings in fact the administrative back end is too time consuming and there have been a few times the card has bounced, it’s just unacceptable in a business environmemt.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The ability on paper to submit expenses in real time and automate is the draw, its just that I see zero time savings in fact the administrative back end is too time consuming and there have been a few times the card has bounced, it’s just unacceptable in a business environmemt.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

App does not sync to expensed amount and often doesn’t sync at all, I can’t ‘find’ transactions . Card has bounced a few times which is just head scratching.

 ### 36. Poor user experience for anything other than roundtrip nonstop flights booked

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian B. | General Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nothing. I find Concur to be a better system in all regards. I would not recommend Navan to anyone.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I dislike everything. The approval process is cumbersome and inflexible:
-Approvals do not apply to other airports in the same region (e.g. I needed to request a new approval to change my airport from DFW to DAL and while I was awaiting the new approval, fares went up)
-Approvals do not work for multi-city trips. I secured approval for a multi-city trip, and Navan had me book the first leg on its own. When I finished booking it, I had lost approval to book the second leg, so I had to request another approval, which wasted a lot of time during which the fare went up.

Changing indirect flights is incredibly hard. I had to change each leg independently, which took me at least 30-45 minutes to figure out, and then Navan didn't have the same flights or fares as the airline's own site. I could not make changes directly with the airline because Navan retains control of the ticket (which Concur did not). I had to call Navan while I was traveling internationally and waste a lot of time to get the flight changed. It was a cumbersome and tiring process that led to a higher fare.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Booking travel. It doesn't solve them well or benefit me or the company at all.

 ### 37. Navan is a dumpster fire

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thibaut D. | Senior Director of User Experience, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Not much, I have to use it because my company chose it. It's pretty fast to reimburse, but the input is so painful I'd rather be reimbursed later

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

There are many cumbersome details in Navan, notably: tax details, OCR precision, European trains integrations, train station search, lack of vendor rules, many form problems. Overall I think Navan should spend a few days with their users to get to know the real issues and not implement a cookie cutter solution

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get reimbursed of expenses but I didn't have a choice in the software, other than this it's just a pain to use

 ### 38. Almost missed the flight

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajay S. | Sr. Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It used be far better experience with Navan. My employer pay for certain booking directly. Rewards used to be good, but not worth it anymore.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Multiple errors in the app while trying to book. Flight credits shown are wrong. When I call to complain, I am told I should just chat or call to book or to make change. Chat booking take over an hour.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan replaced our Travel desk saving me time try to make booking over email.

 ### 39. Horrible Support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The app design is good—it’s easy to book trips and view all your details in one place. I really appreciate it from a usability perspective.
The flow of the app is also very good.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Horrible support. I wouldn't want any one use this service because of that.
They have a problem with their system so when I got a tickeet with a checkin bag it didn't actually happen.
First I was shocked at the airport since I had a bag with me, I had to pay for it and now they are saying they are investigating this for the last 8 weeks.
I had to create 5 support chats, no follow up, always the same respone and no action.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

not having to book flights and then charge them to the company

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Unable to upgrade seat using personal funds

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Navan makes it easy to expense travel and create limits so employees don't over spend

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

There are a million different services that solve this problem. Navan has zero authority with airlines, is subjected to the same wait times as individuals, refuses to process refunds, and has awful customer service. If you're looking to speak with a real person, good luck. Introduces on necessary complexity into company travel with minimal benefits. Do not reccomend.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Booking company travel and ensuring employees don't book out of policy

 ### 42. Better off booking direct

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Not much really - I find Navan doesn't add any value to a long term business traveller

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Any loyalty you have with Hotel and Airlines means nothing when things go wrong - as your booking is not with them.
You also don't get your loyalty rewards when booked via Navan despite them advertising this.

No real upside - we are more and more booking direct and bypassing Navan

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not really sure - we are increasingly going direct to hotels and airlines as your personal loyalty gains more traction when things go wrong. Plus you don't get the upside of your loyalty via Navan - expense tracking is all we really get.

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Navan makes booking business travel fast and easy. I've used multiple business travel booking sites and this is by far the best. The reward structure is a great perk and I've used it for personal travel many times.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

No dislikes. I've had to use support for rebookings a few times and it was seamless.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan makes scheduling business trips simple and fast.

 ### 44. Not a cost effective option

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Easy to set up and log in, nice look and feel and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Trips are overpriced and you're Locked in to their pricing (assumes they must be baking in a cut to your travel costs). The flight pricing is not consistent with what you can find going direct and Navan doesn't allow you to leverage discounts like AAA rates or Government rates. They also don't allow you to book direct in order to leverage those rates and then take over your reservation after the fact like other agencies can.

It would be helpful if you can creat your own trips manually and add transactions to it rather than trips only getting created when you book a flight or a hotel

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navan helps me to file all my expenses with my company and schedule their reimbursements. It also helps to book flights and hotels directly in the app and makes the whole thing seamless.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I would love for Navan to help me track pricing of airfares or car rentals. Offline support would also be helpful!

Navan helps me keep track of all of my travel expenses and tracks the status of my reimbusement approvals.

 ### 48. Completely Unresponsive and Unhelpful, a Truly Abysmal Experience

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

The interface seems to be alright when it works properly. I'm currently facing an issue and nobody is willing to help, but when things worked it was fine.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I have expenses from over a year ago that have not been reimbursed. I reached out to Navan multiple times and have not received any support. I have an email from our CSM saying there was an error on their end. He told me he would escalate to leadership. I never heard back from him, despite reaching out multiple times. It's my first time being ghosted by a CSM at a company we pay to use. Frustration eludes me. This is comical at this point.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their CSMs do not respond to you. The support line is not helpful. They owe me money.

 ### 49. As a normal user it's fine. As a manager it's very confusing.

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

I don't know, it lets me submit reimbursements. It's fine for that.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

It sends emails to managers that transactions need review, but it's super hard to find transactions for your direct reports.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets everyone submit expenses for reimbursement.

 ### 50. Disappointing

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Nothing in particular. The program was chosen by our company.

**What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?**

Navan is far from useful. Their support is horrible. There are zero integrations to tripit or other apps. Their app is nothing but advertisements and downright feels spammy. I would prefer a single solution however it now requires us to use Concur for expenses as I suspect leadership didn't like many backend options either. So confused why we'd waste our time with this.

**What problems is Navan (Formerly TripActions) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It essentially attempts to "offer" every step of the way. I do not want my personal and business being intertwined this way. It feels like a complete invasion of privacy with zero integrations to solutions I readily use in real-time for my travel planning. There is no benefoit to me at all using this.
