"Easy and hassle-free domain registration"
4/5
What do you like best about NameSilo?

NameSilo is the cheapest registrar out there. Their control panel is insanely simple and lightning fast. They provide FREE lifetime WHOIS protection with no attempted upselling. This has been one of the best registrars I've worked with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NameSilo?

Their website looks pretty out of date and it gives you the impression that it's a little spammy. Still, it's extremely fast compared to dashboards like Namecheap so I'd rather take speed and Web 2.0 design over "pretty" but slow like Namecheap's interface. "Best registrar for general TLDs"
5/5
What do you like best about NameSilo?

Very competitive pricing, easy domain control and management panel, regular and expired domain marketplace, low commission, free WHOIS privacy (long before the EU requirement forced others to offer it free as well), easy payment options, instantaneous support. What do you dislike about NameSilo?

The discount scheme forces fixed funding, so don't use it. But doesn't matter really - it's compensated by some other things that cost elsewhere :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for the Admin, Not for the Bookkeeper"
4/5
What do you like best about NameSilo?

Easy integrations make domain management a breeze. I don't need to spend the time using their portal when the software I already have will show me all the relevant information by pulling it from their API. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NameSilo?

The discount program makes it difficult to be able to have a separate transaction for each domain bought with a payment account without buying the next six or seven years at a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NameSilo is very inexpensive, but not cheap"
5/5
What do you like best about NameSilo?

Their tools are much better for bulk transactions than their competition.

It is very no nonsense, no upsells, like ever!

Includes domain privacy. Their tech folks are really top notch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NameSilo?

seriously, I can't even complain about anything of substance. I guess, I don't like their color scheme. they could tart up their UI a bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about NameSilo?

It is the best domain name provider i could ever find, the others all have something wrong, the payment gateway, the options, the support. Here is all good, and the prices are very good for the buyer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NameSilo?

"A new rise competitor in the Domain Market"
5/5
What do you like best about NameSilo?

The pricing tiers are great, as other providers are requiring expensive fees on domain creation, transfer, or renewals, Namesilo is doing their expertise to keep the price down. It is also great for domain parking, as they provide different themes for the parking page, custom text or slogans you can display, and most importantly, Namesilo can also handle domain transfer via auction/market-selling. Great to have this feature when you have couple of domain unwanted, but want to make them as a profit.

Free WHOIS privacy is their gimmick, however that's a big plus to most of us. We don't need to disclose all or even partial information to the public, makes our profile safer, and away from spam. However me myself keeps the WHOIS profile public, to allow certain transparency for my customer to see and gain their trust. Though this action brings us alot of spammy WHOIS junk mail. What do you dislike about NameSilo?

The panel is a pain in the ass, as you will find there is A LOT of "managers" inside the system, which can be simplified as some other easy-to-understand names, I guess that's their disadvantage.

No Strip payment is a big minus, but as long as they are accepting PayPal, Credit Cards, BitCoin, Skrill, Dwolla, and also Wired transfers, I am happy with that.

As for the API part, it is a nightmare while Namesilo didn't provide any SDK for developers, made us to count on ourselves. However there is a plenty plugins for billing solutions like Blesta or WHMCS, so reselling is not a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
