Take Control has trouble working on some domain controllers and N-able's tech support hasn't been able to fix it. Sometimes checks or features like AV just stop working and have to spend time getting it to work, usually entailing contacting tech support. Take Control doesn't include a screenshot feature or a way to see if system is idle. There isn't much evidence of platform improvement - it's had the same old-fashioned interface for many years. Also, our account rep flat out lied to us about promo pricing periods and ended up costing us a few thousand dollars that nobody at N-Able seems to care about. Without N-Able N-Sight RMM, we would not be able to manage 2800 endpoints with a helpdesk team of 5. It gives us visibility of our estate, allowing us to proactively respond to issues before the users know they are an issue. It is used by our technicians all day every day.

Not only this, but by using one agent across all devices, which then is backed up by a standard configuration and standard cyber security products - EDR SentinelOne, web protection, patch management - we know that all the machines we are managing can be supported in a very similar way. If it works for 1, why not 2800? Standardisation allows us to see any issues across the estate and react to them without having to work with multiple different setups.

Alongside the product, we are 17 years into our relationship with N-Able, and have only had 3 account managers, all who have been excellent.
