Perhaps this simplicity is also its weak point, since it does not have many other options. It is what it is and it is good for what it is good for, don't look for more functionality. We have encountered occasions in which certain backups were not made from the database managers that we usually use, such as DBeaver. However, with this software, they worked the first time. We have used this tool for its great simplicity of use, its small size and its great capacity to take backup copies and recover MySQL databases within our Smart Cities projects. What do you dislike about MySQLDumper? The data is stored locally, and there is no way to copy it to another server or to the cloud, which in certain projects can be crucial. When we manage a lot of data in Smart Cities and Big data projects, it is crucial to keep backups easily and we need that they can be recovered with one click if necessary. This tool solves this problem for us, and also keeps us informed when making backup copies, we can send the copies by FTP or make copies in parts or fragmented. From its initial installation to its configuration and use, the MySQL Dumper tool is really simple. We use it to make database copies of our Smart Cities projects, but it can be used for blogs, forums ... since it can manage large databases and send them automatically by FTP. There are more powerful and configurable payment database tools, but this tool can be used for free and amply meets all quality standards and options most demanded by customers without many specific requirements. Too bad it's Discontinued" 3/5 What do you like best about MySQLDumper? A powerful web based backup and restore program for MySQL. Free and Open Source as well. You can do a lot with this software like create easy backups and clones of your databases just in case something fails. It did it's job well and deserves better. I used it up until last year (MySQL 5.6) It also works with PHP 7 so It can still work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about MySQLDumper?
